Initial impression is WOW! Haven't built my custom box yet but had an extra one that's 1.4cu ft so just plopped it in. Didn't change any settings on my amp but man, it sounds like there's 2 12s in there. NICE! Just did a search, looked up a few suggestions on what to set my amp at and will bump it when I go to school later. Thanks all for the help and will post pics later this weekend (papers and finals coming up). -Sunny

Here is a link to my box design. Have only ran a Lanzar 1200vibe on it so far as I am not convinced of tuning. Seems to get least cone motion at 33 hz when playing sine waves, so should be close. A bit inconclusive though. Actually the speaker is great, I am not impressed with the vehicle itself for bass. Does not sound as loud as my focus did with a lot less sub, but I know the focus probably loads bass a lot better. Box is 57w, 16.25 deep, and 20 high (6.5cf). The port is 14.75x7.5 and 28.75 long(area 110.6), firing up behind driver. The sub is facing forward on other side. This is supposed to be tuned to 35hz. link to box design I will be switching to my Lanza…

im just wandering if its possible to fit 4 18's ssd's in a non-wall explorer XLT? granted, i know you cant just go out try it out, but i know alot of you guys have big suvs, and might have an idea. right now i have a range rover and i know i couldnt fit 24 cubes in there. any input is appreciated and i dont mind taking the backseat out but i really dont want to do a wall. the explorer XLT would be a later model like mid 90's if that changes anything

45 Bucks an hour on the Term Lab at a well known shop. They have won alot of the USACi comps... They leave me alone or come out with me and they will help me with settings and what not to decide what the best setup for me is for DD and then give me the settings for SPL comps. The guy I talked to(My friend used to go to him as well for SQ comps) said that we will be done in way less than an hour...but the extra time is nice to screw around with things.. Any thoughts on that? I thought it was a good deal

this is for scott or any of the fi reps... heres what im wanting to do- im working on a show car, and im wanting to powdercoat my subs to match certian parts on the vehicle (baskets to match the exterior color, and top/bottom plate of the motor to match certian trim in the interior) after i order and pay would it be possible to send me those parts so i can get them powdercoated, then send them back for assembly? thanks! (btw- i was going to order 2 tc5200's and have this done, but they have the absolute worst customer service i have ever recieved, i.e.- they dont EVER respond to emails, or pm's on their own forum, and they are generally clueless) Scott has been more than …

my pm's I've sent don't show up in my outbox/sent folder... is there an error on the site? I send one to shawn about the contest and a shirt/stickers thing, and actually pointing out I'd rather have Scott write reconed by sign his name and @ FI on the recones I'm getting but since it won't happen I'll take the shirt/stickers instead... unless of coarse scott does want to sign my cones instead in which case I'd pay for a shirt and stickers instead and may end up keeping the subs lol... unnLESS I could get him to sign other complete FI subs down the line... so people can complain as it adds dBs and that's why it's loud lol eh, 1am here, wife's pissed so I gtg... thanks…

I was wanting to get a Q but then I looked at the new BL and it looked pretty much the same. But do they have the same SQ? I would put the options of cooling, flatwind, and universal.

who here compete's with FI subs? doesn't HAVE to be sanctioned, but if you do local stuff post your numbers and on what mic they were scored. and does anyone who runs FI do bassrace or street beat? I know meade does, but I mean anyone on this forum. looking to add some numbers to the FI count so noobs can see what the subs are capable of... and 3 year noobs don't count foo's! Tom

Hello There. I don't know if you all remember me, however I had started a log a while back for my subwoofer...and was wondering if I could make another here. Or would I have to make it in the "logs" section of the sound solutions forum? The reason I want to post it here is because I have taken some really great high-quality pictures of the full install and I think more people would find it here.
