... FINALLY WORKS! I rewired the LOC to the rear speaker wires past the factory amp instead behind the deck and it all works now! Apparently the radio puts out a signal no matter what, and the factory amp is what controls the volume. So that's why I was getting output at 0 volume. All I have to say is it sounds amazing! It gets the output and clarity I wanted and the 10 is loud, but beautifully crisp. Amazing products from the guys at FI.

anyone have any specs for a 4th order bandpass box for a Fi Q 12"?

Yeah, this is last November's Black Fi-Day X 10" they had a sale on.. finally got around to putting some power to it as well as building my first box. In the video, I didn't want to push the sub to the limit to avoid blowing it, it seemed like it could take another click on the HU though. Obviously a video is what it is, but let me tell you that this sub sounded so good and flat, it was incredible.

Hey Scott and Nick whats up. I just received 1 of 2 subs that were ordered. UPS said that they dont have any movement on the 2nd sub so more than likely it was not shipped out. They told me to call u and find out if the sub was shipped out , i emailed you the tracking numbers. Tracking info. shows one pakage is delivered, while with the other, it still says billing information recieved.

Alright hoping someone could help me out I need some measurements on a 10" Q. I need total height from bottom of magnet to top of surround and I see the mount depth is listed as 6.5". Is that depth listed the actual depth of the sub or does it include airflow room. If so about how much clearance do I need behind the magnet. I need to know because I plan on building some custom enclosures in my new magnum. I want to fit them in the rear pockets and still leave room for the lower tray to open. Anyone done these on here before and have any tips? Thanks guys.

Hello everyone, pretty new to the forum but not a complete noob in car audio. I just had a q 12 installed in my EXT cab f150 hooked up to a hifonics brz17001.d. Unfortunately the brz is a faulty amp(not surprising) but in the process of getting a replacement. My question is to balance out my sound stage I am going to be putting in 4 new infinity kappa 5x7s(not set on them open to suggestions around the same price) and was hoping to throw a pair of tweeters in too. I was wondering should i go with a 4, 5, or 6 channel amp. I understand that if I want control of the fade and balance I need a 4 channel for the door speakers. But should i wire the pair of tweeters to the …

I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra and was wondering if anyone would be able to share a box design that they have in there Nissan Sentra for one 15" BTL? Room is not a problem because I don't use the trunk for anything but for my audio system. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thank you. Well yesterday I order me a new BTL 15 to try out and when I ordered and the payment cleared... I usualy recieve an email confirmation from Fi and an email from UPS regarding my order and assigning me a tracking number, but this time I didn't receive nothing. ok here's what i got...99 mustang rear seat delete wanna do a 15 bl d1 sub up port back in a 4.36cf box@33hz(that's internal)...i was told on here that fi's specs for cf are after speaker displacement...internal dimesions for box are 15x15x33.5...as for the port i got 4x15x25.66....does this sound cool...btw that 4.36cf is before port/bracing deplacement..as i stated earlier i was told that the fi specs for speaker displacement are already included....if someone can confirm that this is all good i would greatly appreciate it

I didnt know what to make the topic but u guys gotta see this. I plan on firing forward and came across this over at ROE and was shocked... Since by ear i am not going to hear low bass as good as if i fired back, and anything over 60hz is nonsense coming out of a sub to me anyway, am i reading that right? It sucks that they didn't have a BL in that test too but i am rather shocked at a comparison of the q to the btl with double the power difference. I'm still wanting a BL but i noticed according to this chart, right at Fs of the BTL, it drops its output by a noticeable amount. 10hz in either direction it picks it back up. I am running a pair of Q 15's on a PAI-2000.1 @ 1ohm sealed. It's deep and its loud, specially in a civic hatch. I don't want to lose my back seats if possible, that's why I opted to go with the Q's sealed from the get go. The box before displacement is 4.9cuft on the dot. Do you think I would get more output if I closed off one of the speaker holes and added a few 4" aeroports, tuning the box to 33hz and popping in a single 15" BTL D1 to run the amp at .5ohm? I am not sure how long the ports would have to be or how many I would need (3-4), so I am not sure if after displacement it would be an ideal enclosure for a BTL. I would be losing half my cone area (-3db) but …

So i built a box and everything was lookign good. I ordered two 3" port tubes. I tried to put the box in my car without the face board on and it fit. However with the front board on it did not. I had to therefore inset the board changing the demensions of the box a bit. The box demensions are now 25.5 X 17 X 16.75. How long do my 3 inch port tubes need to be to achieve a tuning of 33hz. The woofer i have is the 15Q so displacement is .19 cubic feet. Thanks for the help.

I have been building boxes for sometime and I notice that a lot of boxes have the same concept but are built a little different. When I build a ported box for two subs I normally direct the air out of the front (depending on the application) of the enclosure with a divider between both chambers. I have seen some enclosures with no divider coming out of the front, just a big hole. Does adding or taking away a divider give off a different sound? I also add one in the middle just to make the box more rigid. I am building two ported boxes for a van. Would it be better to port it in the front like I have been doing or to go another way. I would think that by porting it …

I want to buy/make a Fi polo. I didnt see one on the site has anyone done it before i want the design. I cant figure out how to get just a black Fi logo on a dark grey one. I would do it if i had photoshop but i dont.
