well its been about a month and im happy to report that my subs are breaking in a little....they are still very stiff so they arent all the way broken in yet but they sound better every day My laptop is broke so i cant meter it ATM and i dont really have a place to do it anyway (or the time to do it) but to me, knowing what it DID sound like, i have to say its louder and has more authority. I can tell by watching the hairtrick vids i made that there is a difference. Also, i usually use the large screws with #3 heads to hold the subs in but for the past year almost i have had to use the "gold" screws from home depot and put them in at an angle to get to "fresh meat". …

Hello forum. I have an FI Q sub which i have received on 7/15/2011. I finally got it professionally installed on 7/26/2011 by my local audio shop a few days after receiving my Audioque AQ1200 amp. It was playing fine until after about 5 hours of play time. The only extra option it has is the cooling package. I hear a weird rattling noise comming from the sub itself. I thought at first maybe it was my car rattling, or the box, but then i took the sub out and played it in free air for a few seconds and came to the conclusion that it was the sub. it sounds almost as if your hitting the dust cap with ur knuckles or the license plate is vibrating. other than that, the …

Ok, so i currently own a vw mk5 gti, and it has a rather small trunk space to say the least i plan on a small 12" sub. This is the trunk space i have to work with. (Picture is not my trunk) A friend of mine had a few 18" BTL's in his truck, big fan of steve meade. He says he would recommend nothing but Fi Audio for subwoofers. So im going to take his advice and go with that. I also will be using that for daily sound not SPL. He suggested the BTL 12" , unfortunately i dont know much about them, and he isnt around enough to be a big help. I realistically dont need the 2000 watts atm, but it would be nice to have that option for later, but someone i know said its not good …

Hi, I am driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee (1993) and my current set up is a Memphis MOJO on an Alpine PDX 1.1000. As far as wiring, i have 4 AWG power wire for the amp (Knukonceptz Kolossus Fleks Kable), and I have put in a 0 AWG wire (also Knu) for the battery to chassis ground. I was going to complete the big 3, but was told by a mechanic that the other two were not necessary for my setup (stock 90 amp alt currently.) I receive decent voltage drops (almost massive at idle if i'm not careful.) I have a 2 cubic foot box ported at 32 hz, and a hifonics amp that puts out "1200" rms at 1 ohm. Would a BTL run ok with this setup???

Alright so about a year ago a tinsel lead burned up on my 12" Q and so i just took it into a local audio shop and they said that the company up in minneapolis that they go through would fix it for 70 bucks and if it ever f'd up again they would fix it for free...i got it fixed and then it sat for like 9 months ....took it out when i got a new car in may and last week it happened again but this time it burned a hole in my spider and this gay company claims that there is only a 90 day warranty on repairs so now im f'd....even though it is completely their fault and they did shatty work on it in the first place....so my question is how much is it going to cost for fi to fix…

Ok, so I order a new loaded BTL 15 on July 5th...It I got it yesterday so it didnt take long at all(it actually made it in a day earlier than UPS said it would). I got it all installed and its everything I wanted it to be. I look inside of the box and......NO STICKERS!!! The last BTL I had didnt come with stickers either but I was jus like...ok ...whatever...I'll get some next time I get a sub. STILL NO STICKERS!!! Do you hate me Scott? I not really mad lol! what size and type of wire should i connect to my sub i'm using 4 12" Fi Q on 2 crescendo bc2000d. and i've been using some speaker wire i got from an audio shop. but i wanna do this right. so what size should i use Oxygen Free Copper or Copper Clad Aluminum / should i do copper for pos+ and aluminium for neg-, or go only copper or aluminum. i'm gonna get all my wiring from knukonceptz
