Today I met a guy (goes buy oldschool on termpro) who does like 155.9 with two twelves in db drag. Well personally I wouldnt want to compete with him *street b* so i was looking at doing a street a setup but i have heard that the 10" btl's are not musical that they are just for burps only. So a few questions: 1> How musical are they??? 2> How much power can they handle??? (looking @ 2000 watts right now) 3>Would doing one 12, or 3 8" be better???

I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000-1bd amplifier and I am looking for a good quality subwoofer. What would be the best 12" subwoofer for me to get for around 1000 watts rms if I am looking for sound quality with decent spl? I have a bassworx 12" ported subwoofer enclosure that is tuned at 42hz and is about 1.65 cu ft. I want to get an Fi Q 12" subwoofer but the recommended tuned frequency on it is between 28 and 33hz with a recommended minimum volume of 1.75 cu ft. I was wondering how much this would affect my subwoofers performance and its quality?

I have a pair of Q 15's that I have had since november 2006. I had them in my old 89' Range Rover in 8Cubes tuned to 30Hz. I loved them like that. Well I just got a 1995 Integra hatchback. I have them sealed 5.1cubes after disp. and WOW. I thought they were a nice driver before but being sealed they are on a whole other level. I just cant describe it. The bass is so accurate, smooth, and beautiful sounding. It just sounds 'solid'. They play lower and also hit the higher frequencies better. They play so much flatter (not peaky). Being in the hatchback, they are also louder to my ear and definitely moves more air. Here are a few vids of them in the Teg. There are also …

Alright so heres my situation. I currently have 2 12"alpine type R's. They are dual 4ohms and i have them wired up at 1ohm on my mtx amp. My amp is a ta7801 which is advertised at 1200w rms at 1ohm. But the birth/dyno sheet with the amp is 1663rms. I am pretty happy with this setup but just like everone else, you always want something newer and louder. Well a buddy of mine just offered me 300 for just the subs and custom box i built. Considering i payed 115 a peice for the subs this really got me thinking. Well through a couple people i know and just seeing on the internet Fi audio makes some good stuff. So here is my real question and goals. What would be the best sub fo…

Hi, I ordered an 18" Fi BTL about a month ago, and have been loving it ever since. Great, chest tightening bass at high volume, and nice deep tones at lower volume. I'm running it off a Memphis Audio Mojo 4000 watt amp. I compete ever so often, just to see what kind of numbers I'm putting up, and this sub has been keeping me on top. The only mistake I made was when ordering, I ordered dual 1 ohm coils, and I should have ordered the dual 2. My subs wired @ 2 ohm (under 2000 watt) for daily driving, and for comps I'll wire it down to 0.5 ohm (4000 + watts). I'm on my 3rd box this month because of all the vague sub parameters, but it's been a good learning experienc…

Have a couple of pics and a short video of Young Jeezy. Notice the windshield wiper jumping off the windshield. Keep in mind this is powered by a American Bass VFL 150.1...@ .7 ohms. Daily... This made me smile if its truthful. I hope to be able to break 110 dB once I get both of my amps strapped to my 15. But still, is it most likely his in car speakers doing that? Or is it his sub?

So everything for my system shall be arriving very soon and I am already to hook it up. I am running a 18" BL with a sundown 1500, now my question is how do i properly break in the subs. I know consistent volume etc. the question I have is what my gain shall be set to. I know what clipping is and everything but as it being a new sub how am I supposed to know what to set it to. After I set it is it supposed to be changed to go along with the break in. As far as my HU goes I have a Alpine cde-102, cheap i know but it will do the trick. The HU has features such as sub woofer control which is 0-15, and many other things, the other question is for that is what I should be sett…

i will be entering my first bass race comp on may 20th. a friend of a friend was talking crap about my system, saying its nothing compared to his. so, i found a local termpro sanctioned comp and challenged him lol. i have a fully loaded 15" BTL powered by a ma audio hk4000d, 4 cubes ported box tuned to 34hz, 2 yellow tops, HO alternator, big 3. from what im told he's got 2 JL 12W6v2's powered by some crossfire amp(s) in a ported box, with no electrical upgrades. i have an 05 explorer and he has a newer jeep grand cherokee. it might be a close match up, but i have a feeling that i will take the win, at least from him. i will post my number(s) and also the results. im open …

1:Is there a difference between these two? 2: Does the filter have to match the boxes tuning? Or is there an acceptable range? I have the RF T-2500.1BD amp with a 28Hz infrasonic filter. 3: If I use a box that is tuned at 32Hz, will this be sufficient? 4: If not where can I find a good subsonic filter? Thank you for any answers or suggestions.
