ok guys i bought 2 18'' btl dual 2 ohm subs from a guy that owns a shop near where i'm from, and i was told they were btl's fully loaded built back in 2007-2008 but i am not familiar with the magnets. ii was thinking somebody might know if they were older btl double stack motors? i have emailed fi but i have no number to contact them at. my main concern is what power i should be running to them if there not btl's i will include both links for the pics. thanks http://img822.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=imag0120d.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=imag0130o.jpg

Right now I have cheap Duals from best buy, so this is why I call this my first "real" system. Originally I had no idea what I was looking for, just that I wanted good sound quality since its a daily driver and I wanted it LOUD. I ran across a few choices and like the AudioQ HDC3's, but I figured I'd go with the FI Q's instead as I've heard they get pretty loud while still sounding extremely good. Heard great things about FI as a company as well. I am driving a 00 4-door sunfire so fitting a very large box isn't really going to happen. I have enough trunk space to fit a larger box to fit two 12's (maybe), but the problem is getting it into the trunk. So my options are ei…

Right now I am planning on running 3 10" BL or Q's in a ported enclosure at about 3.2cuft or so after displacement and such, ran off a Sundown 3000. I am not entirely sure which to use, BL's or Q's and would like to know the major differences between the two in order to help my decision. Thanks

What is the best amp i could get for the Fi Q at a 2ohm load for about 250 dollars?

I recently had 2 12 Q's and am upgrading to 2 15 Q's and was wondering will I lose a noticeable amount of SQ? Both applications are sealed boxes. Same amp & location

So this last weekend I came home for spring break. I have a 15" Q and my brother has a 12" q. Saturday night my sub quit playing and I was a little drunk so I didnt worry about it. On sunday we built a new box for my brothers new truck(he unhooked in perfect condition 3 weeks ago) and by the time we installed it we realized the top magnet was cracked all the way around and shifted about a 1/8 inch, so the coil was grinding and sounded awful. We ghetto fixed his by beating the magnet back into place with a rubber mallet and siliconing it in place, now it sounds fine. The next day I went to diagnose my problem. Hello All, I have a 300c, currently I am running an Audison - Music Expression (sorry if there are linking rules) to a 4 ohm sub (HERTZ MILLE ML 3800 15" ). I understand that I can also run this amp in mono to a dual 2 ohm. I like to listen to a lot of hip hop but also a good classic rock and some new rock (audio slave etc...) When I get into my rap, I like to really feel it, I like the low lows... I know its hard with the trunk on these cars, but I was planning on purchasing the BL15 Dual 2 Ohm and the daily option. What do you recommend?

I have a 09 accord coupe. I want this to bump but not rattle like crazy. Which do u guys prefer? I would like a 12 not a 15 lol. Im kinda a noob so any help would be great. Thanks. The trunk space is pretty small.

Hey, my first post on the board! I like it so far and I expect to be posting a lot more on this forum. I'm very new to car audio, I just got my first set up about 2 months ago. I hahve 2 12 Ultra Linear Subs and 1 1000 XA Eclipse amp, yeah nothing great ( All for sale) My new set up I wanna go with a 15 BTL. I was wondering If I could get some advice from some of you with what I will need to get this sub to reach full potential Amp,Battery? Capacitator? etc.. Thanks guys, and great forum!

Well today we had a gathering amongst friends in Honolulu Hawaii with a Term lab to play around with.... Fi was killing the scene.... TL meter..... DB Drag setting... peak hold, sweeps and sine waves then music... We got to show off a 10" BL a 15" Q and an 18" BTL on a sundown 3000D.. I have to say Philips 10" BL is so damn impressive... some of the new guys that showed up were amazed at what that 10" BL could put out (numbers wise and sound wise)... Not many 10's on this island can boast a solid steady 142 on a TL with a single 10... The 15" Q first run was right up there with some of the other DD set-ups that were veterans.... So I've been doing a lot of reading and looking around and now I'm kind of geared towards one or two Fi Q 12"s. If I go with two I was looking at the Audioque 2200D, but I haven't really looked for an amp if I only go with one, so I'm kind of set on two but I'm worried about it being too loud. What kind of electrical upgrades would I have to do for two of them? Now I was thinking of building my box, I'm debating between ported or sealed, haven't really decided which one I want to go with yet. My max trunk space is 36" wide, 15" high. I can go kind of deep, can't remember the exact measurement right now but how deep would I have to go for a box with that width and height?…

Ok, so I order a new loaded BTL 15 on July 5th...It I got it yesterday so it didnt take long at all(it actually made it in a day earlier than UPS said it would). I got it all installed and its everything I wanted it to be. I look inside of the box and......NO STICKERS!!! The last BTL I had didnt come with stickers either but I was jus like...ok ...whatever...I'll get some next time I get a sub. STILL NO STICKERS!!! Do you hate me Scott? I not really mad lol! But I want stickers next time!

So I ordered a Dual 1 ohm Fi SSD on July 10th, but I actually need a Dual 2 ohm - Is it possible to change the order at this late date? Is there anything I can do? Really wish Fi had a phone number so I could contact them immediately! Feels like I just threw $300 down the drain, I can't believe it! Please help!
