Sorry everyone for not getting to spend much time on here this past week. We have been excessively busy at the shop, but I have simply hit the "not enough hours in the day" thing recently. Between Fi, Ascendant, and several new OEM projects I have been swamped. I finished up a some design and testing on the OEM front this week and will clear up one more sub system by the end of the weekend (or at least the latest iteration of it). Im hoping to be back on here in full force starting Monday next week. In the meantime... there have been a few things I wanted to do this month that I simply havent had the time too... Since this is our 1 year anniversary for Fi, I wanted to…

Ive been contemplating this recently and was wondering how the Fi would do in home audio? I am considering a a IB or a Q but then again I have a spare BL just sitting here. Which would work best and how well will they really perform. Lets be honest here I want loud and good sounding in my car but for home use I am more focused on SQ then breaking things. Thanks

who here compete's with FI subs? doesn't HAVE to be sanctioned, but if you do local stuff post your numbers and on what mic they were scored. and does anyone who runs FI do bassrace or street beat? I know meade does, but I mean anyone on this forum. looking to add some numbers to the FI count so noobs can see what the subs are capable of... and 3 year noobs don't count foo's! Tom

So I have been suggested to run about 125sqin. or port to make the lowend comeout. Well that would result if a very large box wich I dont think I can fit. I May be able to squeeze 12 cubes out of my truck, should that work?

I keep reading threads about people sending in there subs and waiting for a long period of time, as well as the outrageous shipping prices, just to get some recones. I'll post a video of a guy reconing a N2 for your better understanding of the process, but I recommend doing the process like how I describe (from Nick.) Part 1, watch all 5 parts. Not my video but it will help you understand the terminology. Once again, it is quickest and easiest if you follow the process I write step-by-step. ****************KEEP IN MIND, IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR RECONE, ITS YOUR FAULT AND NOT Fi's. ****************** Nick gave me the courage to do my own recones, and after two weeks of h…

Im going to get a Fi Q 12 dual 2 and was curious what options I should go for. I am powering it with a Sundown SAX-1200D parallel. Thinking about doing the big 3 upgrade I already have the 1/0 hyperflex but I have a new 2010 A4. Runing 8g from the battery to the trunk in the amp. Again, What options should I go for with a ported enclosure about 2.3 cubes.

Hey guys, could one of you update me on the situation with my claim with usps you filed for me? Its been I do not know how long exactly but I figured Scott would have heard something back from usps by now. I know they take forever, I went down to the office I shipped the motor from and asked how long claims take, the woman just handed me the paper to file a claim . Anyway, if you guys can't remember I am: Sean Burnette and I mailed a Konaki motor to Fi through ups which was lost, Scott filed the claim for me and said he would keep me informed or let me know whats up with it. Please let me know when you guys get a chance, thanks guys

I want to push 8-10kw to 4 (four) 1-ohm DVC 15" Fi BTLs. (I'm too scared to go much above RMS, you freaks.) What are my options? The subs can be wired to 2ohms. I was originally planning to go with two strapped Sundown SAZ-4500ds but they are now discontinued and unavailable. I then almost ordered a Warhorse but at the last moment read the manual and it's got some fucked-up wiring scheme that means you can't hook up 4 1-ohm DVC subs. After that my options seems few and far between for this much power. Please suggest some amps that actually look like they might be in stock somewhere...

we all have review of the Fi products... but i felt we didn't have a solid review of this company... So i decided to review the company or more so it's employees.... I have been on this board since November of 2006 which is when i became interested in Fi products.. If i recall (Scott, Nick or Shawn may correct me if I am wrong) but Fi was started in the later half of 2006 I believe around August.. So i have been around here shortly after Fi birth... I have dealt with many direct companies before... JL, RE audio, Us Amps, Kicker, Mb Quart, Alpine and A/D/S to name a few... Some have left a really bad impression on me and some have made a lasting impression on me.... Fi is …

I finally designed my box and had Digital Sound in Miami, FL put it together for me. I ripped out my back seat (sorry kids) and barely got this monster box in, lol. We had to take out the side panels and both front seats to get her in there. This is by far the loudest setup I have ever had (specs below). I just need to clean up the wiring a bit in the back and do a few cosmetic adjustments, but you can get the basic idea Hope you likey. 3 Fi Audio Q15 Box is 10.2 cuft Tuning is @ 32hz DC Auido PAI-2000.1 @ .75ohm HU: Soundstream VIR-7840bt Stinger Alt coming soon Fostgate mids n highs Evolution 125.4

This might seem really horrible to start a forum about, but I feel like it is needed. I emailed FI through there contact tap asking questions about the Subwoofer I wanted to order. I waited a couple days and got no response(still nothing today). So I figured maybe it didn't send, or you know something happened and they didn't receive it. So I went ahead and ordered 1 18 inch SSD, about two and a half weeks ago. I have been checking my email everyday to see "awaiting fulfillment" go away and have a tracking number so I know it shipped. It has been 18 days since I ordered it and so I decided to email them again, hoping to get a response since I actually ordered something. I…

Well sorry it took so long to post, but I've had poblems with my log in and had to redo another one. Scott, I had some trouble getting ahold of you at first because you had no phone number. I am glad I waited, Thank you for responding to me about the subs and getting them made and shipped to me in a rush. Thanks bro.... you'll have another order for two more subs in just a bit. On the weekend of March 3-4 we went out to spring break jam and took 1st place with RXZILLA with a 156.2 and took the world record at 151.3 in the Pro-stock 0-600 class. Not too many people knew about FI AUDIO but after that run....everyone was refreshed about your product. Thanks again Scott. A s…

So.....I just installed the 4 Q15's in a sealed enclosure (8.6ft^3 after displacement) running on a IA 40.1. The car is a '07 Dodge Magnum, a 140amp Alt, and a 2nd NSB90 Battery. The meter was an AC, but it was recently calibrated and actually metering about 3 db lower then the other one I was previously metered on...(not that that reallly means anything) anyways, I hit 163.5db outlaw and 162.1db legal. I am competing tomorrow on another AC, and I'll let you know how I score there.

Well, first post here. I'm a long time member of caraudio.com/forums, but browse here frequently. So basically, I just bought a BTL off ca.com and want to know if it'll still be able to use it. It has a snapped tinsel lead and some holes burnt in the spider (see pics below). I was wondering if you guys think i'll be able to just replace the tinsel leads and use it like it is. I asked quite a few people over at ca.com about it, and most seemed to think I would be able to get away with just doing that. Obviously, i don't know much about recones/repairing subs. I already regret buying it...I'm on a super tight college budget and when I saw the cheap price I couldn't he…

Is there a longer than normal lead time right now? I would imagine tax return time is a busy part of the year for car audio companies. I know with my past orders from Fi they would end up being shipped after two weeks. Im at three weeks right now and havent gotten a shipping label notice yet. I know they'll "get here when they get here...but im just wondering if its gonna be a much longer than usual wait. Was hoping to get mine by this thursday so id be able to demo my 4 Sp4 15s at our annual company meeting, but not looking good now. Definitely be some disappointed coworkers lol.
