Whats the difference? Also for a mono block amp i should buy a dual 2 ohm fi?

Sorry everyone for not getting to spend much time on here this past week. We have been excessively busy at the shop, but I have simply hit the "not enough hours in the day" thing recently. Between Fi, Ascendant, and several new OEM projects I have been swamped. I finished up a some design and testing on the OEM front this week and will clear up one more sub system by the end of the weekend (or at least the latest iteration of it). Ok i am obviously looking into a FI subwoofer but am confused and having difficulty choosing which one i should get. I heard the BL has more output but the Q hits lower. I want to push my sub at around 1000 wrms. I have a pontiac grand prix and want something that is gonna rumble and turn heads but be able to put out power. The main thing i want to do is put my friends to shame who think their 10" audiobahn is the stuff. Please help me decided. I need opinions. Thanks !!

I want a lot of SPL in my vehicle. Not to sure what I want to do here. Should I go with 2 15" BTL's or 4 15" BL's??? Why?? Please help me decide on this question, thanks very much in advance.

I have a pair of Q 15's that I have had since november 2006. I had them in my old 89' Range Rover in 8Cubes tuned to 30Hz. I loved them like that. Well I just got a 1995 Integra hatchback. I have them sealed 5.1cubes after disp. and WOW. I thought they were a nice driver before but being sealed they are on a whole other level. I just cant describe it. The bass is so accurate, smooth, and beautiful sounding. It just sounds 'solid'. They play lower and also hit the higher frequencies better. They play so much flatter (not peaky). I have a 12" bl and today I am pretty sure I blew the voice coils on it. I was driving around and the sub cutout and I opened the back of my jeep to see that there was smoke coming out of the port. I know for sure that I had everything wired right and i didn't even have the gain up that high( a little over half). I am going to re-cone it but I was wondering if anyone knows what could have caused this so I don't blow the new I get. Thanks

What are the differences if both would be ran on a sundown saz 1500? I have a fully loaded bl now and it's not as loud as I expected. Would the 2 12 in ssd subs be louder?

Runnin an AQ2200d, Alpine 9584 head unit, tuned in a 2.2 Cubic foot box to 31 htz. The clicking noise only occurs on a sudden knock of bass & Is repetitive in fast bass lines but only in high notes. In low notes it does perfect. Whats goin on?

I want to push 8-10kw to 4 (four) 1-ohm DVC 15" Fi BTLs. (I'm too scared to go much above RMS, you freaks.) What are my options? The subs can be wired to 2ohms. I was originally planning to go with two strapped Sundown SAZ-4500ds but they are now discontinued and unavailable. I then almost ordered a Warhorse but at the last moment read the manual and it's got some fucked-up wiring scheme that means you can't hook up 4 1-ohm DVC subs. After that my options seems few and far between for this much power. Please suggest some amps that actually look like they might be in stock somewhere...

Ive been contemplating this recently and was wondering how the Fi would do in home audio? I am considering a a IB or a Q but then again I have a spare BL just sitting here. Which would work best and how well will they really perform. Lets be honest here I want loud and good sounding in my car but for home use I am more focused on SQ then breaking things. Thanks

I ordered my sub woofer on the 30th of Dec. and i got an email saying i would be getting my sub on the 7th. But Nothing at all yet. This SUCKS !!

So I have been suggested to run about 125sqin. or port to make the lowend comeout. Well that would result if a very large box wich I dont think I can fit. I May be able to squeeze 12 cubes out of my truck, should that work?

I am about to order a recone for one of my 2005' XXXs and had a few questions about the recone itself. I know you have reconed alot of these woofers over the years and was wondering if you change the recone composition at all(besides your cone) when compared to the stock XXX composition? Will the woofer still have it's 1500-1600rms capability? Will the recommended enclosure change at all? I was able to effectively salvage the original XXX full face dust cap. Can it be re-used with your recone? In addition to the woofer I am about to recone, I received another misaligned 2005' XXX motor in the purchase. I don't understand what is happening with my order ? People receive their subs after just one month. I know Shawn has some health issues, Fi is moving (or has moved),...etc It's the third order I make from Fi. But this one is the longest. hey guys im running to sundown saz1500ds strapped at 2 ohms, and 2 btl 18s dual 2s in my s10. i recently reconed. when i slam on them for a few minutes, one woofer gets hot real quick, the other gets warm. they both slap just as hard, but i cant figure out why the one woofer is getting hotter. i checked the tinsels where i soldered it looks good, same as the other one. all the connections are good as well, im using all 8awg wire. i set the gains using a multimeter and there gettin the right voltage the calculator gave me (3000w at 2 ohms - 77.5v) . i also swiched the woofers so the one getting hot was on the other side, and its still only that woofer getting obnormally wa…
