First show with the BL18's finally playing in the wall, didnt do dbdrag, but managed a 148.3 for bass race....I was pretty happy considering we still havent done any testing on it Lots of work to do yet, the baffle (5 layers thick) was still flexing like a mofo, so we def. need some bracing. Still have to tune the wall as well, woofers getting a little warm and smelly :-) Love the subs, def seeing a 150+ bass race in the near future!! I'll try and post pics soon...

Hello Fi, A friend of mine has a pro audio set up, and needs to know if it is possible to have recone kits for some Aura subs. They use Neodymium (?) . He loves how they sounds, they play low and loud ! I can show you pics of the drivers when he send them to me. He has several ones to recone, they are very old ! These speakers won't go in a car, just in big boxes for live events. thanks

Hey guys, I was out at a local SPL 2x Show here and ran my Q 18's Off my JBL BP1200.1 in a 16.8CuFt box Tuned to 25Hz (Its made for LSQ not SPL My highest was a 143.7dB @ 36Hz !! Taking 1st in Street Max 1-2 NW And in bass Race I was competing in the semi finals and finished in 3rd with an average of 134.7 in the 139.9 runs It was awesome, i love these subs they are bottom end beasts... Next show in sept im gonna try an SPL box for em to see how they do tuned higher with more power.. I cooked my JBL on the Last run hehehhehe

I'm going to be building a 7cuft ported box tuned to 32Hz and I'm ordering the wiring and amplifier within the next few weeks. Hit-up (2) shows this weekend and finally got myBTL 18 metered. Qualified with a 147.4 and hit a 147.7 in the finals. The sub is pushed by a Colossus II in my 99 Explorer Sport. Eletrical is stock for now. Qualifying round...didn't get the pic of the 147.7during the Finals (I have the certificate though ) Getting ready... 170DBs...

my buddy is goin with a 12inch fi ssd d1 fw coil, bp power, would it be worth upgrading to the 1608d or will the 1208d be jsut fine?

So I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars I was looking at a hifonics bxi 2610d It's a 2600w amp But I'm not sure about hifonics ive had mixed feeling about them. Can anyone help me out?

Alright, tore out my 4.8cuft ported box for the Q and stripped out amps and all. I am now going to start the new build. In this build will be a pair, maybe two, of Hybrid audio legatia L1 tweets, a pair of hybrid's L4 mids, a 15" Q, 3-4 amps, and a pair of 8" mid-bass, not yet determined from who though. System will be setup actively using my alpine HU feeding the awesome fosgate 3sixty.2 processor. Build will include, new sealed box for the Q, amp rack, mounting for distribution block, processor, and second battery in the trunk. I ordered my BTL 15 thursday the 19th. It is now the 31st. i got the email from UPS about them having my shipping label but its still not sent out. I know im kinda jumping the gun but im anxious and just wondering if there is any delays on these woofers as of now or when i can be expecting it to be sent out. Thanks a lot.

Hey guys, could one of you update me on the situation with my claim with usps you filed for me? Its been I do not know how long exactly but I figured Scott would have heard something back from usps by now. I know they take forever, I went down to the office I shipped the motor from and asked how long claims take, the woman just handed me the paper to file a claim . Anyway, if you guys can't remember I am: Sean Burnette and I mailed a Konaki motor to Fi through ups which was lost, Scott filed the claim for me and said he would keep me informed or let me know whats up with it. ok guys so i came across an alt on ebay and its pretty and i was wondering if you guys could take a look at it and let me know what you guys think because i just dont have the funds right now to buy a dc as much as i want too. Alright, first post here, but I'm not a newb. Been building boxes and installing for 9 years or so. I just ripped my wall out of my 01 Implala (4 RE SX 15s, Mojo 4000d, 5 batts...) and I picked up a pair of Q18s from a friend of mine. The following equipment is being used: Alpine 9886, ID Chameleon Components, old school Orion 2500d (the all silver one) and an old Orion 300.2, alt is an Iraggi 200amp. After I ripped my wall out I ran just the 300.2 on my components and ended up with some horrible alternator whine. I've never had whine before. I used some muting plugs and think I narrowed it down to either the deck or the RCAs. I also cannot turn my deck up to my normal l…

The other day I whiped together a box for my Q10, 14x14x12, 3/4in mdf, comes out to around .9 cubes. I screwed up on one of the cuts so i just siliconed the chit out of it. So i have it in my truck now, pushed by 900 kenwood watts rms and there is a clicking noise coming from the sub. Not so noticeable on the lower notes or in rock songs, but it really makes me mad. I pushed on the sub, no scratchy sound, i put the coils on a DMM, both at .8 ohms. WTF! I also tried it free air a little and the noise is louder let. I read on another forum to check my spider for rub marks from tensel slap, and i couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Am i doing something wrong?

I have question for you guys. I currently own a RE Audio XXX12 '06 and have previously owned an Adire Brahma 12 mk2 and I am looking for something else. I stumbled on the Fi Audio Q12. My main use for this driver would be SQ(L). And I have had the xxx and the brahma in custom made ported and closed boxes. Is there anyone who has heared the Q12 and xxx/brahma and can tell me what I could expect?

Im looking to buy a FI 15". The sub will be in a jeep. Which application would be the best? I was thinking about the BTL. For the most SPL which options should I add? Also what type of amp should I be looking at? Im not trying to spend a ton on an amp. I found a nice Planet Audio thats 3000@1ohm. Me and a buddy will build the enclosure. Let me know! Also...is the BTL alotttt louder than the BL?
