We have the BTL N2 subs up on the site for sale with specs. As mentioned there will be about a 4 week lead time on the first orders of BTLs. This is due to waiting for the balance of steel and heatsinks to arrive. N1 will be up late tonight. Thanks, Scott

Keeping true to form at Fi we have an industrial application that uses these 4.500" NdFeB "pads" and felt that the trickle down to car audio might be in order for them. The first iteration uses 3 of them and simply has more Gauss than the 3" pole can handle. Coil has a very healthy inductance/heat ring with external fins for cooling and keeps the heat out of the magnets (which seems to be a problem with some other car audio designs). In playing with this proto it is definitely geared towards SPL, given the motor force. Let us know what you think. Im hoping its not too out of the ordinary to be marketable... as it truly performs. Thanks, Scott

BTL history: Gen 1- 2 stack and 3 stack of 8.7" magnets. Flatwind and high xmax, cooling options. Gen 2- Single 11.25" magnet. Flatwind and high xmax coils, cooling and inductance/heat ring options Gen 3- N1: Single slab Neo magnet with integral finned heatsink. Flatwind and high xmax, cooling option 1000W low weight, lower power line N2: Dual slab Neo magnet with integral finned heatsink. Flatwind and high xmax, cooling option 2000W low weight, similar performance to Gen2 BTL line N3: Triple slab Neo magnet with integral heatsink. Flatwind and high xmax options. Possible cooling option, but designed more for SPL than normal daily driving. Lighter weight than older Gen1 a…

Alright so i have been thinking of buying an 10" FI Q sub and i am quite positive that its what i want. But the only downside is that i have no idea about the size of the amp that would be a good size for this, and also the right gauge wire.. my cousin is going to help me with installation, but first i would like some suggestions for wiring and amps. So if someone could help me out that would be great.. thanks

I am new to the car audio scene, and I would like to get the best bang for my buck, but I also want to "go big". I Have never seen an 18" subwoofer box before let alone an 18" subwoofer irl. I know they are pretty big, I want to know the standard ported box recommendations for an SSD 18, and if that box will fit in my 1990 jeep YJ with the back seats out. Help from you experienced set of guys would be very greatly appreciated!

hey guys, i currently got a Fi 15" BL with an aq1200d, in a 3.3 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz, it is a crappy box made out of 0.50 mdf because i just wanted the system in lol. I know this sub can get much much louder. How does a box just under 4 cubes (3.78) tuned to 35hz sound to you guys ? also with gains down could this sub eventually maintain an aq2200d ? I would have gains set so its pushing about 1500rms thnx guys !!

Can't remember if you guys did black friday deals last year or not..... If so, I'm curious if you guys will again this year. I was wanting to pick up another SSD 18, and if there's a sale it would be a perfect time for me to get one.

I've been trying to figure out some theoretical expectations from a few subs using Winisd. I want to use a sealed enclosure, but I can't figure anything out with the SSD (12 inch Dual 2 ohm) until I know the higher qts. Does anyone know what it is? Hopefully I'm not being dumb and just can't find it. I know the Qts is figure by using the Qes and Qms numbers, so which ever changed would be helpful too.

Alright, right now im running two Alpine X 10" and i guess there pretty loud and have great sound quality for what iv heard, but iv never been able to find the actual SPL rating on them so i cant really compare them to anything else i want to buy. Basically, iv been thinking about buying new subs for a while now but im not too sure which ones to get. I still want SQ but i want to be a bit louder ^^. Im just looking for any input really, im quite new to this stuff and havent heard many other systems other than my friends 2 W7's. Any suggestions are welcome -Thanks Mike.

So my budd is worried about his electrical in his 2000 Toyota 4Runner and wonders if he needs to upgrade his Alternator and/or battery. He's running I think a yellow top under the hood, and we'll be running an AQ1200D on my 18 soon enough. Thanks guys

I went on a trip today and one of my subs stopped working. I noticed that one of the coils was no longer working. The coils were series so I just ran the one sub and eventually one of its coils stopped working also. I tested the coils with an ohm meter and each sub has a coil that reads open. Am I right that something like this is not covered under warranty? I am not really sure why the coil opened up since I was probably giving the subs no more than 1500 watts between the two. I also have a voltage meter in my car and noticed that my voltages stayed around 14 volts when the first one blew while on the highway. These subs are dual 1 ohm coils and I am powering them…

As title states, I orded my 18, and now I'm thinking of how I'm making a box, it's going to sit inside of a 2000 Four Runner, last box I made was for 2 12's at 5cubes, 33hz Can I make a box at 6.7 cubes and tune it to 28 hertz? or will that sound bad.. I like low tuning by the way Thanks guys! Also, do you think a Audioque 2200D is perfect for this sub?

I have the choice of buying a Hifonics 1210 at a discounted price, a Kicker 1500.1, or my personal fave the Audioque 1200D. The kicker isn't 1 ohm stable and I have a dual 2 ohm Q coming in. The hifonics isn't reliable at one ohm from what i've seen/researched Audioque, I heard nothing but great reviews for. Thanks guys

After helping my father with my dying stepmother(cancer), she pasted away on July 9th, and I have been helping my dad with everything. But now I have time to spend helping Fi and Ascendant again. I'm sorry I was gone without a trace, but I was going threw the family thing. Im am back woriking for Fi and Ascendant on a part time basis, while going back to school. As soon as my Magnum SRT-8 demo vehicle is done, I will be going to dealers in the southern states. So just wanted to say "Hi" and "I'm back"!

Okay, so here's the dilemma I'm having: whether to go with multiple smaller subs, or a couple bigger subs. Now, I've looked this up, but nobody seems to get it. Yeah, if you power one single, massive woofer with enough juice, it'll outperform 2 subs with lower wattage, but what I'm trying to figure out is: say you have 1 or 2 18" woofers, and lets say 4 or 6 12" woofers, with equal total wattage going to either set of woofers, which one is going to be louder? Also, I've heard the bigger woofers will hit lower hertz louder, at lower volume levels than smaller woofers. But, will quantity compensate the larger size of the bigger woofers lower response?

Hi, I'm looking at picking up a Sundown Audio SAX-1200D to match it up with a single Fi Q 12" with plans to run a ported setup. Being new to car audio my question is, will these two work together? Everything I've read seems to put these as a perfect match up. For options on the speaker I'm assuming it will need Dual 2 Ohm and cooling options. Is the option for an extra "spider" needed? I'll be ordering the amp in the morning, should you guys give the OK, as there is an amazing deal on one of the internet retailers. Thanks for the help.

I have a 91 S-10 Blazer 4dr... Right now I have a full JL Audio setup with a JL 300/4 powering my JL speakers and a JL 500/1 powering my 12W7 in a sealed box. Now I want to upgrade. I have a buddy with a single BL 12 which sounds good...but I think I want more than that. My problem is this, I want bass...lots of bass, like to the point that you turn on a bass track or a decent rap song and it's hard to breathe or swallow...lol...but I want it to sound decent (had a ground zero nuclear 15 once...bass was brutal but sounded like crap...) I know that you can't have SQ and SPL together... I want SQ, just SQ that moves you...lol. I listen to all types of music but mostly…

Where can I find an accurate list of Fi or AA dealers ? I found a dealer on ebay, just in my island ! IT seems too good to be true, but did not find no prices. Btw, I live in Martinique (FWI) Can this dealer be legit ? Some people are interested in the BTL here, and I would not like them to have any problem.
