General Fi

Keeping true to form at Fi we have an industrial application that uses these 4.500" NdFeB "pads" and felt that the trickle down to car audio might be in order for them. The first iteration uses 3 of them and simply has more Gauss than the 3" pole can handle. Coil has a very healthy inductance/heat ring with external fins for cooling and keeps the heat out of the magnets (which seems to be a problem with some other car audio designs). In playing with this proto it is definitely geared towards SPL, given the motor force. Let us know what you think. Im hoping its not too out of the ordinary to be marketable... as it truly performs. So i understand that it takes 3-7 days to build the subs and such, its been around 10 days, so i figured id try to check on UPS tracking. To see where my Sub was via shipping. I looked at my pay pal confirmation and it gave me a tracking I.D. is that the tracking number? because every time i use that number it says that its invalid. Also what shipping company or method does Fi use? I live in south Florida, so it shouldn't take long to receive my order right? Thanks Please, any info appreciated

The Question(s): BP,Basket,and Send in sub are some of the options.. 1.Can i get the BP power option if mine didn't originally have it? 2.Basket? do i say yes or no? Anyone going to a show or comp in northeastern ohio running Fi subs? I've only seen & heard 1 and considering the set-up it sounded ok (1 Fi 18", kid doesn't even know the model or the rms, bought it used with a big ass Boss amp hooked to it in a sealed box). So today I just receivied my first 18!!!!! An 18 fi q!!!! When I saw the size of my box I just gaped At it. It was just huge! The size of the sub is even crazyer. The thing is enormous! I was realy not expecting thing to be so heavy. So far the first impressions have been great so I caint wait to build a box for it. Fi is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to buy a fi Q 12 from a friend and he claims it to be fully loaded(only without spider) Is there any way i can check if the sub actually have all that options. It's the new version of fi q.

hey i currently have a single 10" ssd stock options running off a alpine pdx-1000. what would the difference be between this ssd and a bl off 1k. i like my ssd but was curious about swapping for a bl. i listen to rap/hip hop

so fi has upgraded the btl ssd and q to the single slug motors, do they plan to do the same with the bl? i have a ssd and wanna try the bl but would like the newer version if its coming....

I have an audiopipe ap1500d running 2 fi ssd 12's. when i turn my music up and the bass sounds really good it will just cut out and will turn back on when i turn it down, any ideas?

i purchased an SSD15 for my niece's car back in October i believe. built a nice ported enclosure around 3.5 cu/ft. i also installed a Kolossus Fleks 0 Gauge amp kit to an ASA800.2 powerbass amp. power at the amp was at 13.6 to 13.8 at full tilt. i also set the gain with a volt meter and tinkered with it by ear. i am no expert by any means, but i did a lot of reading on the subject of install to avoid any kind of clipping. anyways, i told her not to mess with the setting on the head unit. well, played around with her system several months later to find all the settings were jacked up, loud button on, bass boosted in the eq. changed anything back to where i had the…

I'm getting my fi btl 12 fully loaded..and I have no clue what screws/bolts to use. I've read some forums and some people have used bolts with t nuts..anyone please help.! I need exact size that will fit the holes and will hold my btl nice and sturdy!
