What the hell does this thing weight??? If I had to guess I guess from between 70-80 LBS.... Mine came today and I had it shipped to my Mom and Dad's house as I knew someone would be home to sign for it and take it in vs @ my house the UPS guy would leave it on the front porch for the neighbors to carry off.... Or tow away, with the weight of this thing... LOL... I must say, very nice on the packing job... If one of these comes damaged it was from the shippers neglect, not FIs.... Just a few more things (head unit, rest of the wire and some sound deadener) and I'll have everything... Still hoping for March or early April to have everything...

so what is it with fi customer service :/ do they not give you a shipping / payment confirmation email at the least? I ordered a recone kit on friday may 22nd before 3pm and have yet to hear a damn peep from anyone @ fi yet they had no problem communicating with me through email pre-payment being sent... i'd like to not put fi under the shitty customer service category, but it's heading that way. i sent out an e-mail to scott / nick / recone / orders @ ficaraudio.com, hopefully I get some kinda results. I trust everything will be resolved, but when? how long must I wait? if it hasn't even been processed and shipped yet i'll be pretty effin pissed..

I havent been on this forum in months so I did a lil update I am currently running 2 btls on 2 audioque 2200's. The subs are D/2 fully loaded. I have a 220 iraggi alt. The big 3, 4 kinetik 2400 batts and 1 yellow top under the hood. Here is a couple pics of the equip stripped from the car getting ready to upgrade. Now the question I was going to run the subs just 1 sundown 3500 wired to .5 ohms (just til I get the money to buy a second amp).But I read in another thread that it is hard on the subs. I didnt know that i thought it was only hard on the amps if your electrical couldnt back it up.

Im totally lost on what options i should choose when configuring a BTL. Im looking to get a 12". Its gonna be used as a daily speaker in a ported box. im confused about choosing the P chamfer and the cooling part, and the rest of the options lol. I already have an amp that gives 2700 watts RMS, so most likely ill be using this amp unless this isnt safe? please help me in deciding which options i should choose while keeping the things i stated before in mind. Thank you in advanced. please help my noob self as much as possible

as i had anticipated. Of course i still need to upgrade to the big 3, and running a bxi1606d at 1ohm. It's in my 99 Denali and i made the box to 7.5 cu ft tuned to 32 hz. I double bffled all the walls to a total of 1.5 inch thick. Do i need to upgrade to 0 gauge wiring? A bigger amp? I noticed that the BTL was SUPER stiff! Mayb i need to push 3000w to it instead 1600

I just wanted to say that I am amazed by your subs. I haven't cranked it up in a while, but I did yesterday, and was bewildered again. I was at Circuit city yesterday, and all of the guys who work there showed me their equipment. Kicker, MTX. A customer had a JL W712 on an alpine 1000. They sounded ok, but my bros bl 12 just kills the JL spl wise, as well as another guys 2 kicker comp 12s. The lows the the BL are just nasty- sounding strong and authoritative. I have 2 18" BTLs w/ 2 memphis 4ks, and I noticed on strong hits I'll hold 12v at the front, but at the amps I was droppping in the 8-9v range. I am looking into putting two 10' BLs into a new Camaro. My question is this: Will a Memphis PR1.1000 or MC1.1100 be enough to get them off the ground adequately? I know it's not going to push their peak, but I was looking at using two 10' Memphis C3s instead of the BLs, but I'd rather have the BLs because I'm sure that they will outperform the Memphis subs. Any help or input would be great, thanks!

i didnt realize when i orderd my sub that if you have a dual voice coil sub that you cant wire it to be 1ohm , it will be higher or lower. i did get the universal option so i guess i can send it back and get it redone. how much does this cost to do. and does anyone from fi know if i would be able to maybe just send it back and get a replacement for a fee or somthing. thanks guys. kevin

I have a 10" FI Q and a Audioque AQ1200 amp. The amp is a mono but it has 2 speaker terminals. How should it be hooked up?? The sub is a Dual 2 ohm, wired to 1 ohm. The way I have it hooked up right now is 1 positive wire going to the positive connector on terminal 1 and the negative wire going to the negative on terminal 2. Is this correct?? Just wondering opinions. Ive been eyeing both. God the new btl is sexy... but lacks a 4" coil. Which the sp4 has. But isnt as sexy. Running a sundown zv4 18 now and i have the itch for a new sub. It will go on my synergy 35.1. And really wanting to add a second amp and sub down the road. This will be used daily if that helps... opinions? Ive never ran FI but its going to happen if i can make up my mind.

well i have a 18" btl dual 1 ohm fully loaded daily sub. i know this sub will rattle the hell out of my 86 Monte but how will it do with music sound quality. she will be in about 5-6 cubes at 32hz. and powered at 2300 rms. now would i be better of switching out my 2 of my 6.5's on the doors for a set of components and then the other to 6.5's for a mid bass. i also have 3.5's in the dash 4x10's in the rear deck and a set of 6.5's in the rear interior panel. so i would think with those speakers i could get a good sounding system and turn the bass down low. if my thinking is flawed sorry.

I just ordered a sub and im pumped at how much it will pump. I ordered a 10"Q, Dual 1Ohm, Burgandy Dustcap to match my car and i cant wait to install it. Before i buy amp and deck what would you guys prefer to power this thing im looking to run 800W-1000W. Ill post pics arrival and install. Thanks a lot guys. Steve.

Hey everyone. i am new to the forum and just wanted to say hi to you all. I just ordered my first Q sub-woofer ever and I hope it is as good as people say. However, I went through the Paypal order process and have emailed Scott, but I did not get a reply back. Has anybody heard from him lately, I hope I just didn't throw 270 bucks into no mans land. Additionally, I am still up in the air on my set up. Should I utilize a single Q12 in a ported box or dual D12's in a sealed box. I plan on running a NINe.1 amp on both setups. Additionally, I am finding it very difficult to find ported sub woofer enclosure for the required specs of the D12, any help in this matter woul…

I got one last week and the other one today. I like how the first one that came in had the black basket, but not a big deal cause it wont be seen. Box build may begin tomorrow after work, but will start sunday for sure. oh yeah, they are BL 18's D2 with cooling, flatwind, universal, and daily and will be run with 2 saz-1500d's.

So I went through the elaboration of the two and am still confused. I will be running a DD Z1 on 2 - 12" BTL's...... I will be using them for daily street beating, and competing on the weekends. I will not be changing anything around (besides port frequency).... Options that I have chosen thus far: 3rd Magnet HiXmCoil So, do I want the cooling or P chamfer??? in advance

I was about to pull the trigger on a Q. Got to the check out page and it says shipping is $53 dollars? Seems a little steep to me. I've got stuff overnight shipping cheaper then that! Is this the normal shipping charges?

I have a 2 channel amp and im tryin to see if I should get a dual 2ohm voice coil or dual 4ohm. How will i be able to wire the subs to get a 2 ohm load to the amp without having both subs connected to eachother

can i have this two subs in my trunk?/ each one on its own box, and both boxes tuned at 35 hz i was told that two different subs have what its called wave cancellation and that they wont sound good even though they are both great subs, please help help.
