Hey, I am new to the forums and car audio and general and have a couple of questions. Firstly I have a budget of about $1000.00 for a sub/amp/amp kit/box. I am planing to pick up either a Fi Audio BL12 or the Q12. I am planning to on matching either sub with the US Amps XT-2000D http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5309 Anywho, I listen to rap and house, and I just want an upgrade for my daily driving. I understand the Q has superior SQ, and the BL has superior SPL. Which sub would be ideal for my listening needs?? Also theres alot of mods you can have with the Q and BL that I don't understand that I would greatly appreciate some clarity on... For the…

truck - 05 chevy colorado amp - sundown 3500d elec - 2 kinetik 2000hc's. big three. box - 4.5 cubic feet tuned @ 32 hz. two 12 bls' or two 12 btl's? looking for spl. but i also want musical daily driving. i know bl's are more musical and btl's are more loud but i wanna know if one has a significant amount of sq or spl compared to the other. example (not saying its true) : bl's and q's are not much of a difference sq wise, but bl's get very noticably louder.

Hello, I plan to buy some subs from here. I have a 93 camaro. Im wanting a very loud system with decent SQ. Ive been told to just get 1 10 in a custom box on another forum, but was hoping an emloyee would help me more. I was planning on getting 1 BTL 10/12/15 but dont know which would be best given the room in a camaro trunk. I will be powering it with this http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...product_id=4200 And my friend who has I think 2 rockford fosgate t1 15's, dont know the amp powering them. In a chevy tahoe. He swears by rocford and im wanting a system that will be just as loud, if not louder then his.(least thats what im hoping for)

Did a revamp today of my pop's explorer. It had 3 RE XXX 15's. We swapped out for 3 Fi Q 15's with the BP Power Package, and he loves the new subs. Old Setup New Setup Please excuse the mess, I had a little grinding to do on one spot for the subs to fit normally, instead of inverted, and I really like it alot better, and so does Pop. It looks alot cleaner to me, the nice curved transitions look much much smoother. Here is the list of everything in the truck. Yesterday i received the amp wiring kit and the 10ft of power cable for the "Big 3". Today i received the 25 ft of speaker wire and the headunit. The sub and amp should be coming in shortly and then ill be installing it... so now i gotta decide quickly on my box ideas. I have decided to get a sealed box... i guess about 2.6 cu.ft. there is only one thing left to decide --- which way the sub faces and where to put the amp... in terms of sub direction/placement, i was thinking of doing something like like having the box in the trunk and when i open that armrest thing the sub will be facing towards the cabin....i was thinkn like when u opened the trunk itd be like sealed …

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with dimensions of Front to Back - 36" Left to Right - 45*1/2" Height - 19" I currently am running 6 13w1v2's off of 2 Kicker ZX1500.1 and I am looking to get to 15" and narrowed my options to the 15" BL's. I am wondering what size box I should get and what I should have it tuned too. My box now is the exact dimensions that I've given above. I plan on putting 1 Kicker ZX1500.1 to each of the 15". I like the real low bass as in Young Jeezy, Gorilla Zoe, Lil John...etc but I wanna make sure that my highs are also good. Any idea on what I should get the box tuned too? Are the BL's a good replacement for the 6 that I have in there now? Any i…

Customer service > 10/10 (Scott and Nick, thanks for being so helpfull, they will reply to your emails when they have time, remember their really hard all day and dont have time replying to 50 emails a day from people that have no patience and want to know where their sub is every second of the day) Shipping time > 9/10 (It wasnt Fi's fault but I guess no one should use USPS, they claimed the package was something like 8 ounces over weight.....uhhhh ahhhhhh.... so it got sent back to Fi, I was tempted to email Fi and ask them where my sub is haha, but I pulled myself out of doing it so many times, because I didnt want to seem like those people that complain every s…

Box is for a Fi BTL 18" it's going to be in a S-10 blazer I've noticed alot of the people on here use blazers and may have a design already. What I'm wanting is a box with the sub pointing up with the port facing the hatch. I can get deminsions if needed. Thanks, Dover.

What would you prefer? 2 10" BL's ported with about 2.5 cu ft volume after displacement (2k watts total) or 1 15" BTL ported with 3 cu ft after displacement (about 2.5k watts). I wanna get loud, but not for competition and still save some room in my car. If 3 cu ft is to small for a 15, I could always put a 12" BTL back there. I just wanna get the most bang for my buck and still have ample room for storage. Dodge Charger by the way...I gave up on SQ, realized its not really my thing.

the search function doesn't like it when i search for anything about the Q's and i searched backa couple pages and didn't find what i was looking for. anyways, i'm considering upgrading to a second Q. and i have 2 questions. i would rather not half to upgrade my alt, seeing as i just got a brand new stock alt put in 2 days ago cause my old one completely went out. and i can't return it now that it's in.. (and i don'th ave money now.) so i want to know if my current SAE will be enough for 2 Fi Q's? and i know it'll power them, and probably be just fine. but what i'm asking is will it be worth upgrading to a 1500? i would go 2000 but i'd rather not have to upgrade my electr…

Ok, so after talking to others, it has come down to these two. I want to compete, probably only ever gonna be local comps. I know i prob will not beat my friends ranger (a wall with RE 18's, cant SX's I think) but I wanna beat these guys the say Kicker are the best subs ever created. At the moment I have a RF4000.1 sitting around I got from a shop that closed down for pretty much nothing. I am doing a blow through in an 08 Ford F-150 FX2. Here is my tough decision. I can run this one amp and push 4 12" BL's or I can get 2 15" BTL's when the new models come out, and when money is good, do even more electrical upgrades and get a 2nd RF4000 for and seperate one RF4000 …

Are they really backed up right now, If I order today when should I get my subs? I'm looking to get 2-12" Q's , just wondering if it takes a long time to get the subs. And Would 2 RF 1500-1's be good on these subs for a daily driver. Want subs to sound good on a variety of music (rock, rap, some country, metal ). Would get the 2 ohm version so I could strap amps together at 2 ohms.

I really do hate asking this question, but I am curious. I only really see everyone running 15's and 18's, not 12's. Does anyone know how the 12" BTLs sound?? Or at that size would it be better to go with a BL or Q?
