hey all, i just can back from my first db drags bass race that was held in hayward, ca. i might say, i had a blast. my car install is still in the works. 18" BL walled. i met some cool guys there and they had no problem giving me tips. BIGGG ups to Christian with the 2 15" RE MT'S. 147.9 db. nice!

At the end of this month I will be purchasing an Fi Q12 for the great north. It will be installed in a 2005 jimmy 2door with lots of room. Atm I plan on using a Sounqubed Q1-1200D. At 2 ohms it states 870x1 at 2ohms and 1470 at 1ohm. Im wondering do you think running it at 2ohms will give the Q12 enough power that it sounds good and not sluggish or do I have to go at 1ohm. Will running it at 1ohm take away some of the reponse/clearness of the Bass? Should I go with the Q1-2200D for 2ohm? I have a 2006 Nissan Xterra with 2 12" RE SE's in a custom 4 cu ft at 34hz enclosure (the old ones, not the seX) on a nasty TMA 1000.1 (I didn't know much about this, bought it cheap from a friend). I'm right on that 1000 rms borderline so I have not performed any electrical upgrades and my car is fine (no dimming etc). Problem is, this system doesn't really seem loud anymore LOL so I'm considering moving up to 2 15" Fi's. For amplifiers, I was considering a Sundown 1500 or Sundown 2000. I will perform the Big 3…

Yesterday i received the amp wiring kit and the 10ft of power cable for the "Big 3". Today i received the 25 ft of speaker wire and the headunit. The sub and amp should be coming in shortly and then ill be installing it... so now i gotta decide quickly on my box ideas. I have decided to get a sealed box... i guess about 2.6 cu.ft. there is only one thing left to decide --- which way the sub faces and where to put the amp... in terms of sub direction/placement, i was thinking of doing something like like having the box in the trunk and when i open that armrest thing the sub will be facing towards the cabin....i was thinkn like when u opened the trunk itd be like sealed …

I have read here that there is a delay on the BL models due to lack of steel. I just ordered a Q12 and was wondering if it would be delayed also. And is the Wednesday night chat still going on? Thanks for all your help.

hi all. i will be buying some ssd's with copper coils as soon as my tax money hits my bank in a few days. i just want to know if this is a good time to order cause ive been reading that the guys are swamped. if i order just the regular woofer does that shave any off the build time? i live in NC so i figure with build time and ground shipping it should be about two-three weeks. is this a fair guess? just curious, wanna know about how long ill be waiting after dropping almost four hundred bones ya know? i hope this is in the right section, and someone can ease the anxiety as ive never ordered anything of this amount off the net before. thanks for anybody's help in advance.

So I was on my way to work this morning and saw a dude in a lancer with some fi stickers and a sundown sticker. Might you be on SSA?! Just recently had a owner of two 12" type r's ride in my mazda 6 (3.5 cubed box @ 33hz 15" fi ssd running 1k rms). He pretty much was "not impressed" bahahhaa. He said mine was crystal clear, but not very loud. The only thing I have going against me is my sub is pointing straight up at a panel, until I can get a box that fits. I did not plan my build properly at the time B-). Anywho, random post, but was just curious!

Did a revamp today of my pop's explorer. It had 3 RE XXX 15's. We swapped out for 3 Fi Q 15's with the BP Power Package, and he loves the new subs. Old Setup New Setup Please excuse the mess, I had a little grinding to do on one spot for the subs to fit normally, instead of inverted, and I really like it alot better, and so does Pop. It looks alot cleaner to me, the nice curved transitions look much much smoother. Here is the list of everything in the truck. i pluged it up to my home cd player and it was playing for about 12 seconds and my cd player like cut off and restarted so i unplug'd it realy quick like. Did i mess up my sub. It looks fine and doesnt smell burn or anything soooo???? was it just the cd player..

i have a quick question... i bought a dual 2 ohm Fi BL i want to wire in to 1ohm so i can get 1500wrms out of the SAZ-1500D to the sub can i not do that..can i only wire the sub to 2 ohms not 1ohm??

Hey guys. I found a BL 15 for $230 and couldnt pass it up. Anyway I have a BL 15 with the cooling and daily option. The new one has the flatwind and SPL option. Would putting both of these in the same box cause problems? Would playing music through the SPL option sub be an issue?
