Ok so as you can hopefully tell I have a Dodge Charger. I have some trunk room to work with. I have 2 12 inch fully loaded SSD's being built right now I just got my 1200d Sundown amp. I know Chargers have a pretty good alt but I will of course still do the big 3 and maybe another battery. I would just like to be around 13v or a little higher. I read on Fi's website; "Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please)" So is that easy? Should I just go with a 5 cuft box ported and tuned at 33Hz???? What do you guys recommend? Thanks!!!!!!!!

I ordered a BTL 18 today, dual 1 ohm, and I was wanting to see if I could change it to dual 2. I'm using a RF T-1500, and I got to thinking that with the dual 1 I would either be able to run a half ohm load or 2 ohm. I'd like to change it to dual 2 since the amp isn't stable at a half ohm. My invoice number is: I-14072/00 Thanks for the help!

Hi all, i know that 1/4-20 will work, but will 5/16-18 bolts work? i will be using tee nuts and bolts to hold the sub in. the sub is the Fi Car audio BTL 12". basically just want the biggest bolt that will work. im sure there are plenty of people out there that can measure the mounting hole size and the rubber seal c'bore size. I just want to get the stuff on order and installe din the boxes before the sub gets here so its a quick intall. also i would assume the 18"s have the same sized mounting holes and c'bore in the rubber seal? Thanks in advanced, Anton Miller

so i am trying to figure out which sub to order, i have read multiple posts about this and in the end the person purchases a sub but with no reasoning on there conclusion. so here is what i have to work with. i do alot of offroading so cargo space must be maintained this is why i have chosen the box below. the box is made for a single 10" with .75cuft. i have been wanting a Fi woofer for sometime now. so like the other posts which one and why? pros and cons. both the Q and SSD are rated for sealed enclosures. i would like to run the 10" Q. i would probably run the sundown SAZ-1000D. here is a few pics of the box.

Need some help, I have an 09 Silverado ext cab truck, and currently I have 2 type r 10's and a PA BAMF 2000/1 amp, the box is tiny, fits under the back seat and down fires (sealed .6cuft each sub) . My buddy with the exact same truck, just put in the same box with JL 10w3's and a JL Slash 500/1 amp. His system KILLS mine!! My type r's sound terrible. I thought it was the small box but a local shop told me it was most likely the crappy amp that I have. So, I have decided to throw my current set up in the trash and do it right this time. My question, should I go with the SSD 10's or wait for the new Q's? The amp I will use to power them will be a Sundown SAE-1200D (unless …

i guess ill go with the single 15" btl in a 5cft ported box instead of an 18" in a 6.5cft box i wish i had the air space for 1 18 btl but one of the members on this forum said by having 1 15 in its correct encloser v.s having a 18" in a 6.5 encloser which is recommend to have 5-8 cft per sub the 15 would be better to get the most bass. i hope everything work out right just seeing what you guys think. (1998 buick century)

Im getting ready to order three fi ssd with bp option, but i want to make sure i get the right ones for my application. I will be running 3 of the 12 inch ssd's off of 2500 watts at 1 ohm. my question is, do i need dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm subs? What is the actual coil impedance? Are they dead on 1 or 2 ohm, or are the impedances actually lower or higher?? I want to do 3 dual 1's ran in series and then paralleled all together at .67 ohm, but if the actual driver impedance is lower than 1 ohm per coil, the total impedance may be a lot lower and i don't want to risk burning up my amp. Now, on the other hand, if i go with dual 2's and wire them in series then paralleled all …

I havent powered my subs up yet, nor have the been mounted. They've been sitting in the boxes they came in since I got them last year as a present from my gf. Not dropped or anything like that, its weird I've never seen anything like it. I pulled one out to show a buddy of mine the sheer size and outstanding build quality. While doing so, I noticed a crack in the magnet. Not a small crack either, it goes horizontally, all the way around the sub. And it wasnt there when I got them. I've emailed Scott, but I would like to see what you guys think. I'm a little concerned. And I was planning on inverting them, cause they have a very sexy ass. Here are a pictures of the crack: …
