I am currently running a 10" Alpine type R off an Alpine M450 Amp. The type R is in a large ported enclosure. It sounds terrible with the type of music i listen to (hard rock). It will play pretty low and get loud while listening to rap, but I hardly ever listen to rap. I only put this in my Jeep as a quick fix (paid 100 for amp, sub, and box) and now I finally have the money to do a whole new system. My local shop keeps trying to get me to do a JL 12W6 in a sealed enclosure running off a 500/1. He says "It will hit hard (tight) and be loud enough for me". I do not want to go with JL especially since he wants 650 for a 12W6 and a box. I would like to go with (1) 15" in …

My order #999 was a Q18 Dual 2. Dual 2 is important, because I'm only running 1 woofer and I need to be at a 1 ohm final load. I received my speaker in the mail a little under a week ago, and brought it out lat night to do some wiring. I hooked up the multimeter to the terminals, and...what in the world? Both voice coils read 5.2 ohms. Dual 4 isn't even an option on the website? How did I end up with what appears to be just that? I sent Shawn an email through the sales email, hoping to hear back today. I'm at a 3.2 final load, which is no bueno. I've got 1500 watts on tap at 1 ohm, and I'd like to use them all.

I'm torn between the 2 really great reviews currently for the SSD and the Q. Primarily, I want an SQ setup as I think it'll get plenty loud in my Suby wagon. Been running 750w bridged to my 2 Diamond Audio 12s sealed and while I would go with the copper coil config with the SSD, the price difference in going to the Q is really not that much. If 750w to the SSD would be pretty loud, I don't think I would upgrade my amp any time soon. But since the Q is touted so heavily, many are happy with their SSD with around 500w but 1000w seems ideal for it. Thanks!

I have a few questions about the Fi BTL sub" 1) What is the difference between choosing the options Dual 1 and Dual 2? Ex. Would i have to buy a certain amp if I chose Dual 1 or Dual 2? or if i get 2 subs would i need 1to be dual 1 the other to be 1 dual 2 ? 2) Is there a warranty for the Fi BTL sub, if so how long is the warranty for? If I have 4 BTL N218's with 2 amps with 3500rms will the amps blow the subs? Because the subs have 2000rms?

I want some different 15"s that will not neccesarily hit harder than my CVX'S but hit Lower and Sound better... The box will be sealed around 2.4 cubic ft per chamber....can't fit a ported box for 15"s in my car and i already had two 12" cvx's in a sealed box at 33hz and to me it didn't sound good or hit the lows like i wanted... The cvx's hit hard but still not low enough and they lack in sq also So what subs do you suggest will fit my needs?? Thanks

I have a 4cu box tuned to 33 hz and a sp4 15 in it. if i were to get the hole cut bigger for a sp4 18..what would happen? and is the box too small for the sp4 18 to sound good. btw im in a pontiac g6

Could anyone give me the specs for a 18" Fi Bl ported box going in a Chevy Suburban. (Plenty of space.) 47 inches in width. More than that in length and height. Here is a link to my box design. Have only ran a Lanzar 1200vibe on it so far as I am not convinced of tuning. Seems to get least cone motion at 33 hz when playing sine waves, so should be close. A bit inconclusive though. Actually the speaker is great, I am not impressed with the vehicle itself for bass. Does not sound as loud as my focus did with a lot less sub, but I know the focus probably loads bass a lot better. Box is 57w, 16.25 deep, and 20 high (6.5cf). The port is 14.75x7.5 and 28.75 long(area 110.6), firing up behind driver. The sub is facing forward on other side. We got my box finished up at 3 A.M. this morning. I didn't build it myself, but paid an installer who has did work for me before. Okay... Just ordered my 12" BTL fully loaded dual 1 ohm the other day, im GEEKED!! First question, i have a Hifonics BXI2610D amp, i wanna wire my sub to 1ohm to get the most power... correct? how do i do this? second, i have a stock battery and alt in an 02 cougar... do i absolutely HAVE to upgrade? This is somewhat of an extension of my other thread.... I decided to sell my Q15's to buy a pair of BTL's, but that would required alot more upgrades to my system (batts, alts, and bears oh my) This morning, while I was sippin on my coffee, I was thinking that I could ADD 2 more Q15's and an amp running around 4k-5k watts and keep it sealed. Yes, it would still put more stress on my electrical system, but I am more equiped to handle that ATM. I have dual batts and a 140 amp alt and lots and lots of 0awg. I've ordered a lot of equipment from many various companies and never experienced such concise, respectful, and businesslike as Fi gives.I made several mistakes when creating my online account and ordering and they fixed all they could, next business day... astounding! Im looking at purchasing two BTL15's and I'm leaning toward the Sundown amps. The SAZ-3000D is rated at 3000RMS and I've read that it's underated at that. Is this amp too much for a fully loaded BTL15. I plan on strapping two 3000D's to two BTL15's at 2ohms which should be 3000w per sub.

Just got my woofer in and wondering whats the right size wire to use. 8awg?
