These are my measurements now... 15hx33dx36w I was wondering if it is possible to fit the 18" Bl tuned to around 32hz in my trunk. and what would be the best setup, sub firing into cabin, port back?? Need ideas for the enclosure. I am going to run it on a saz-1500d. I did at one time have a L7 in a 6.0^3 box. It fit just fine. any help is apreciated! i put the new measurements up, i went out there and measure it out, width between strut towers. height was at the trunk tensioners and depth was just depth... keep in mind i have the trunk lid hinges to clear......

how big does the hole need to be for the fi bl 18??my order never came with a template....thanks!

I HAVE GOT A FI BL 18 THAT EVERYONE TELLS ME TO GET A BIGGER AMP FOR IT, IM RUNNING A KICKER KX 1200.1 THAT PUTS OUT ABOUT 1300 RMS. I THINK THE BL 18 IS ONLY 1000 RMS SO I DONT BELIEVE I WOULD NEED A BIGGER AMP WOULD I? THIS SUB HITS 143 ON TONES IS THAT GOOD NUMBERS FOR IT?

Hey guys i have a 05 Rx8 and im ready to put a system in it. The rx8 has probably the smallest trunk in the world haha. i was wondering if i can put the FI BL 12 ported in a 1.5^3 ported box. or should i just get a 1 12 Fi Q sealed in a 1.5^3. i was also looking at the new Re Se-x, will 2 12 se-x be louder then the 1 12 Fi Q? thanks you.

I am really thinking about purchasing a FI BL 15" by this winter. I currently only have a Lanzar Vibe 250 amp. It pushes 1000watts max. 2 ohm stable and 2 channel. I was wondering if it would be ok to power the driver with this amp. I am not looking to spend a lot of money on another amp, i am satisfied with what I have currently. I'd like a BL, because I hear nothing but good things about them, and sounds like something I would like to have. I love loud bass, and my current sub (Cerwin Vega Vmax) isn't doing the work for me. So good choice or not to get a BL? It would be in a 2000 Cavalier, and I would have someone build me a ported box for it.

I'm probably going to get a Bl 15 soon so i was reading the "tech" section on the fi website about the BL's. One thing i didn't understand is why they said that they recommend getting the P-chamfer option when they don't even offer it for the sub as far as i know. If you look at the bl's that option does not show up.

Does anybody have some pics of a btl or bl motor with the cooling and without it?? i have alway wondered what the difference is in the motor thanks.

So ive done a lot of searching around here at the forums looking for a good daily sub. I finally stumbled across FI's BL series and tried to do some research but just couldnt find the information that i was looking for. So i was looking into buying a BL15 with the pole chanfer and cooling options. So heres my questions. What would be a good size box and tuning frequency for higher output? Amp? And most importantly its output capabilities with spl oriented setup. everything will be going into a 93 Lincoln Town Car. any info would be greatly appreciated.

I know SQ is rather subjective, but what are some opinions of BL compared to the Q. Maybe the easier way to do it would be rating each on a 1-10 scale, not sure. Either way, I would just like to know any and all opinions about the BL sound quality. Feel free to compare, rate, whatever. Thanks!

Hey whats going on SSA. I have made a couple of posts and I have learned a great deal of things on here. I have a long way to go and I know someone can help me get there. I am looking for 3 18" Fi Bl's to buy or trade for some things. I am just curious of what will pop up. I do not want the D2's or Stock Bl's. This is not an official posting just to see if something happens. I have one and it is the 09 series with a yellow dustcap. I need 3 more to scratch the subs off of my list. Please no BS or Post Dumping.

im wanting to get a 15'' BTL and i been researching them and i have seen a lot of comments on how the tinsel leads fry.. why do they do this?? will i be ok with 3,000 watts to my sub or will it eventually fry?

Runnin an AQ2200d, Alpine 9584 head unit, tuned in a 2.2 Cubic foot box to 31 htz. The clicking noise only occurs on a sudden knock of bass & Is repetitive in fast bass lines but only in high notes. In low notes it does perfect. Whats goin on?

Well, so i was ready to order my BTL last week, but scott was out of town... so i waited a week untill monday(today) talked to scott, but they wont get any BTL motors till Next Monday!!!!!! ahhhhhhh so im sad, it keeps getting pushed back, life is tough without mah BASS!!!! haha so with all of those options what potential power could i run it at?

Hey, I'm not really sure where to post this comment so I figured this would be the best spot since it's pertaining to my fi gear. I am considering going to my first comp, trying to find somewhere within 4hours of Myrtle Beach SC and I think the closest place is roanoke rapids next month. I am not sure which class I will be in trying to find out before I go. I will be competing with my daily driven yukon, boxes come above the window line (where in a newer yukon they would not ) I have 2 18" btls, 3 batteries (might get a few more, depends on class) and 2 4kw amps. fi btl 18 daily or spl ??

I got my first BTL 18 about 5 months ago, fully loaded dual 2 ohm version. It was the fist 18 I'd purchased or even heard in person, so I was a bit skeptical because of the mixed things people say about larger drivers as far as quality go. The last two setups I had owned were a kicker L7 15 in 5cubes tuned around 32hz, and and alpine type-x 12 in 1.1cube tuned around 32hz. I had been trying to find a very loud woofer that still sounded half decent, and while the alpine sounded nice, and the kicker got loud, neither did both very well. Ok, so iv decided with my price budget that it would be best to get one 18" Fi BTL. The only problem with that is I have a 2004 Impala, and the recommended box cutout is a little too big. It says the height should be 22.5" but i only have room for around 19" max. Would those couple of inches really be that big of a deal? or do you have other suggestions on how i should build my box? I have plenty of room for Width and Depth, its only the height that seems to be an issue.
