Alright so I have my BTL in my ported box (tuning is messed up I have to redo it I think) and I am powering it with a 1200 watt hifonics with chit 4 guage. Waiting on installing my batts, big 3, and 2 ought. I was playing hz tests and I was like fudge it its moving some air, lets see if i can do a hair trick. So I had this girl put her hair in my window and I rolled it up a till there was about 3 inches left. I played a 40hz tone, I STILL dont know what my tuning is but this gets pretty loud, and it was moving her hair! Hi, I'm looking at picking up a Sundown Audio SAX-1200D to match it up with a single Fi Q 12" with plans to run a ported setup. Being new to car audio my question is, will these two work together? Everything I've read seems to put these as a perfect match up. For options on the speaker I'm assuming it will need Dual 2 Ohm and cooling options. Is the option for an extra "spider" needed? I'll be ordering the amp in the morning, should you guys give the OK, as there is an amazing deal on one of the internet retailers. Thanks for the help.

I can't get a stright answer. I am tried of getting different stories every time regarding replacing my RE subs. I was told by David, formerly at RE audio, that in June all productions of US assembled products stopped and that the factory shut down. All, Re audio products are now made in China and even sub assembly of SX and MT in the USA has stopped. I have been tiring to see what is going on with my subs. One day, I talk to someone, the next day they are gone and some else says they will help, now a girl that has no ideas what is up, is making things worse. If I order the sx recone will it come with the 1.4 ohm coils? Also, if it does have the 1.4 ohm coils will it be a direct fit or will my motor need to be sent in to be modified? And does anybody know the t/s specs for the sx 18 recone because I can't seem to find it anywhere and I know it's not exactly the same as the sx 18? I can't get any response from fi when I email them so I was hoping I could get some help here so I can order my recone already... Thanks

First post go easy -just kidding you can be brutal if needed. I have been curious as to the Fi product and have always wanted to hear and see 3 12's across the rear seat opening of my mazda 3 06 there is enough room and the boxes are built. you build it they will come. I am not happy with my box size but well in range at 1.1 ish after displacement each, there are 3 seperate boxes it was the only way to get in. I may redo the boxes to achive more like 1.3-1.4 after displacement but unsure as of now. each sub will have a 1000 watt amp on each. i plan on crossing over the middle sub at 80hz range and the 2 outer subs at a lower hz to be determined maybe around 40-50 hz to c…

My pre-09 SSD motors have "custom sealed" written on the top of the motor. Does this mean they have the high qts option? They are also copper coils. Any input?

I have 2 Memphis 1000 Watt amps and was wondering if they were enough to push 4 15" BTL's. THey say 2000rms so im not sure if 500 watts would be good enough for 1

I have a few questions about the Fi BTL sub" 1) What is the difference between choosing the options Dual 1 and Dual 2? Ex. Would i have to buy a certain amp if I chose Dual 1 or Dual 2? or if i get 2 subs would i need 1to be dual 1 the other to be 1 dual 2 ? 2) Is there a warranty for the Fi BTL sub, if so how long is the warranty for? Ok, well...here this goes, hopefully yall can help. My current truck has 6 6x8's in it by RF, the power series. Gets loud. My new truck, on the other hand, is set up for some components. I will also be making a custom console to allow room for more speakers. What is a good brand that gets loud as hell and can stand up to the 15" BTL's I will be pushing. Also, what size speakers should I put in the custom console??

Okay... Just ordered my 12" BTL fully loaded dual 1 ohm the other day, im GEEKED!! First question, i have a Hifonics BXI2610D amp, i wanna wire my sub to 1ohm to get the most power... correct? how do i do this? second, i have a stock battery and alt in an 02 cougar... do i absolutely HAVE to upgrade? Third, i bought a ported box off of a buddy, he says its 2.7ft^3, is this going to sound good with the amp and sub i have? By the way, im running 0 gauge wires and a wimpy 4 farad cap. I'm kindof a car audio newb you could say so any help would be greatly appreciated

Right now im rocking a 1x fi q 12" in a 2.5 @ 30hz box, it gets pretty loud, but i feel i have to strain a little to get it to my likings. I want to upgrade and have a few optinos that im asking you about I plan on buying a second sae - 1000D and strapping them and producing 1800 - 1900 @ 2 ohms. So that what i have to work with. I am currently running a 10" Alpine type R off an Alpine M450 Amp. The type R is in a large ported enclosure. It sounds terrible with the type of music i listen to (hard rock). It will play pretty low and get loud while listening to rap, but I hardly ever listen to rap. I only put this in my Jeep as a quick fix (paid 100 for amp, sub, and box) and now I finally have the money to do a whole new system. My local shop keeps trying to get me to do a JL 12W6 in a sealed enclosure running off a 500/1. He says "It will hit hard (tight) and be loud enough for me". I do not want to go with JL especially since he wants 650 for a 12W6 and a box. I would like to go with (1) 15" in …

I just have a question guys. I e mailed fi last week and they said my fi btl should ship out no later than Thursday of last week. But I never recieved a tracking number or anything. I'm not like trippin or anything I just want to know cuz I want to be home or have somebody at my house to recieve it because I work a lot and am not always at my house. I know that fi is really busy so do they ship and just not send a tracking number? Or has my BTL not been shipped out yet? Thanks guys

Meant to say single wall boxes but that just didn't happen i was too enthused at laughing about the basket making noise...even after all of that the sub still works.. Anyhow...keep your packaging. Don't send us this stuff back with a bunch of peanuts or anything in a single wall box and expect a 70 pound package to not be broken in 30 pieces.

The cosmetics aren't quite done yet but I got the sub running and with what little (in comparison) power it's getting from that old Opti 50C off stock electrical I'm more than happy with it. Once upgrades are done and the 3000d is here, it will REALLY bang! Big Fi sticker I saw just after I got off I-9Five this morning.

Hey guys, my BL came in today and i hooked everything up. Im using a 4.97ft^3 box tuned at 29 hz, and also an orion xtr 1000. Everything sounds fine, i just want to make sure how to play it in order to break it in properly. I did crank it up for a few seconds to see how insane it is and my ears are still hurting, which led to a blown fuse in my distribution block, which was a 60A(please comment on that) The dust cap also gets pretty warm but not hot, im not sure if thats normal. I will also admit that i am a complete idiot and should be shot becasue i drilled a hole through the rubber surrounding, i found out later that the holes were not lined up on the rubber surroun…
