The cosmetics aren't quite done yet but I got the sub running and with what little (in comparison) power it's getting from that old Opti 50C off stock electrical I'm more than happy with it. Once upgrades are done and the 3000d is here, it will REALLY bang! This subwoofer is one badass lil puppy. its built like a tank , im still in shock that this is there bottom of the barrel driver. i cant wait to get my enclosure built going to be in a cube ported to 32 hz single aeroport off 800 watts. such a lil beast.

today i went to my local car audio shop to see how much theywould charge me to build me a simple port box for my fi bl 18. i told them i want 7cu .ft box tune to 32 hz and sub up and port to the back. they told me i couldnt fit a box that big in a 1991 ford explorer. they told me i should move my box closer to the front and then they showed me pics of a fake wall they did. it looks good but should i pay $400 for a wall but the box and port is all done with the wall?

So everything for my system shall be arriving very soon and I am already to hook it up. I am running a 18" BL with a sundown 1500, now my question is how do i properly break in the subs. I know consistent volume etc. the question I have is what my gain shall be set to. I know what clipping is and everything but as it being a new sub how am I supposed to know what to set it to. After I set it is it supposed to be changed to go along with the break in. As far as my HU goes I have a Alpine cde-102, cheap i know but it will do the trick. This is a new project going in my friends Charger R/T. He wants to slowly setup a nice SQ setup. We will more than likely use the Q's. If doing an IB, the rear deck will be completly blocked off and sealed up. Any suggestions or ideas would be great....thanks.

So I ordered my subwoofer after a summer of saving finally. Anyway I never got a UPS tracking number email. It's been 17 day since my order has been sent in along with my money being accepted. Just wondering if I understood what they meant about it. Do I get it when they actually ship my subwoofer or after my order was placed? Thanks for the help guys

my friend gave me a box that had his 2 15" RF T2's in it. I am pretty sure it is 3.2 cubes after displacement and tuned to 38hz or so. Would it be okay to put some Fi BLs into this box or no? Tryin to save a little money and want good output. Or should I just throw 2 more T2's into that box and use it?

I need your help guys, I have a 2000 chev. S-10 third door extenened cab. Which sub do you think will hit and sound the best. (1) 12Q sealed, (1) 10Q ported, (1) 10BL ported. I listed to mostly hard rock bands like TOOL, STAIND, SEVENDUST ect. Thank you everyone for helping me. By the way I am facing the sub toward the bed of the truck which should produce a nice backwave.

I read around and heard that scott used to own RE audio and that FI and RE are about the same thing. How is that now? How do the subs from scott, FI, now vs RE Audio, now compare? some say that RE is about the same but less expensive...

How much does it weight? Trying to design specifics of the box and I want to know if I should get screws or bolts. At what weight would bolts be a better choice?

if installed properly..what would get off louder? 18 inch ssd with a hifonics 1200 or 12 inch bl with a hifonics 1600 i finally got a little bit of money to spend so i wanted another system. used to have a ssd 15 on a hifonics 1200..it sounded great!

Been out of the country for a little over a week and the web guys had questions I couldnt answer until today... most of the new BTL stuff is up now. Specs to be up late tomorrow as well. Note on pricing... while the "base" model pricing did go up, the equivalent pricing did not. Do to the significant increase motor cost for the new subs, and the additional motor strength... we are pricing them as the third magnet optioned subs were. While this will undoubtedly make some people mad, sorry. Hello everyone, Ok so im thinking about adding a second battery in my car in the trunk to maintain voltage drop. right now iv got a red top under the hood, about to do the big 3 and a 120a stock alt with a rockford t10000bdcp and a alpine pdx f4. Im planning on getting a kenetik hc800 in the back to add a little more power to my electrical. There is a problem with my Q 12, and I need to send it back to Fi to work on it. I got an email from Nick that says: "The only thing I can think that may have happened is the coating that is on the top side of the cone body has delaminated. One out of every 1500 cones or so will run into this issue. Print this email off, place it in the box and send it in to us. When we get it back in I'll check it out or another tech will check it out and see what's going on." So do I not need a return authorization number? I just send the box with the email in it and that's it? Also, does it matter how I ship it? Is USPS fine?
