hey i have a couple last minute questions! i need to cut a hole for the sub to fit in! On the Fi web site i have a Bl 15" does the CUT ID: 14.125" mean thats the size of the hole across i cut?? and for the port i should screw those into the box on the top and bottom not just glue right?? i was looking into either getting a 15Q or a 18SSD. I would put either one of them in there suggested box size tuned to about 33hz.....which one do u think would be the loudest?...which one the clearest?

hey guys i know this is a spl sub, but alot of you folks do use them for daily drivers..how do you like them? i really want to try a few but im worried that they wont sound right..and by that i mean im comming listening to w7's for 6 years..and i know after that many years on 1 sub your ears get accustomed to them..so are the btl's something i listen to all kinds of music like rap and rock daily and still enjoy or am i barking up the wrong tree and should maybe look at bl's? also i have a side question, say you have a 12'' spl sub and a 18'' of the same spl sub, would the 12 sound better and be tighter cause its smaller or no truth to that?

I was curious about the universal option offered for the BTLs.I understand that it is so you can change between dual 1 and 2 ohm coils, but what are the drawbacks?I noticed it says that if you don't get the universal option that the motor will be optimized for the ohm load configuration you order.So does that mean that a universal BTL won't ever perform quite as up to par as one that isn't universal?Just curious, because I figured if their were no drawbacks then all of the subs would have them.Thanks man for any feedback.I really appreciate it.

Whoah. I mean, whoah. My Fi Q showed up today and I'm in awe of this sucker. It's built like a tank! I've been through quite a few subs and I think this single 12" might end up putting my two Phoenix Gold RSDc 12"s to shame. My main goal was to reduce weight in the back of my Scion Tc trunk while still maintaining some heavy punch. Here's some eye candy, including the custom 1.3 cu ft Fisher box I had built especially for this little monster. I can't wait to get it mounted and broken in. Thanks Fi!

Been out of the country for a little over a week and the web guys had questions I couldnt answer until today... most of the new BTL stuff is up now. Specs to be up late tomorrow as well. Note on pricing... while the "base" model pricing did go up, the equivalent pricing did not. Do to the significant increase motor cost for the new subs, and the additional motor strength... we are pricing them as the third magnet optioned subs were. Hello All, I have a 300c, currently I am running an Audison - Music Expression (sorry if there are linking rules) to a 4 ohm sub (HERTZ MILLE ML 3800 15" ). I understand that I can also run this amp in mono to a dual 2 ohm. I like to listen to a lot of hip hop but also a good classic rock and some new rock (audio slave etc...) When I get into my rap, I like to really feel it, I like the low lows... I know its hard with the trunk on these cars, but I was planning on purchasing the BL15 Dual 2 Ohm and the daily option. What do you recommend?

I'm very happy with the quality of this subwoofer. Right now its in a sealed enclosure ~ 2.5 ft^3 after displacement. My old subwoofer was a 12" Infinity Perfect VQ in a sealed box as well. I was basically looking for more output, but still wanting it to sound just as good as my old sub. The Q fit perfectly, and it sounds just as good as the infinity i had before, only louder. I haven't tested it on alot of music, but their are some rock songs i have found that i actually prefer the sound of the Q over the infinity on lower volumes as well. Overall, I am very satisfied. I am thinking of trying a ported box (~3.5 @ 31hz) for the hell of it, since i have only had experienc…

I recently bought a recone for my HCCA 15 and I think the leads are too short for me to use. Is it usual for the leads to only go past the spider by 1"? Let me know what I can do about this. I have included a couple pics so you can see what I am talking about. Thanks!

I just turned 17 and im getting a 2010 maxima next week. I ordered a 12in fi bl fully loaded and a sundown sae 1200d. I also ordered a stinger 0 gauge amp kit. Scott@ficaraudio sent me an enclosure that is 2.3cf and tuned to 33hz. I am planning on doing the big 3 upgrade, all 0 gauge and building the enclosure myself. So I ordered my subwoofer after a summer of saving finally. Anyway I never got a UPS tracking number email. It's been 17 day since my order has been sent in along with my money being accepted. This subwoofer is one badass lil puppy. its built like a tank , im still in shock that this is there bottom of the barrel driver. i cant wait to get my enclosure built going to be in a cube ported to 32 hz single aeroport off 800 watts. such a lil beast.
