I have a Q series 12 that needs reconed and I new to doing this is there a way to send it in to fi or is this something I have to do at home?

Hey I'm just wondering when you guys swithced from one big magnet to 4 pie shapped magnet like on the new RE XXX's? Is thier any increase in power handling, and is thier anything internaly diff with them? Can they be ran with another new BTL that has the old style single magnet? Heres some pics not my sub I seen it on another forum. I remember some subs having pie shapped wedges between the basket and motor was that the cooling before and you switched to this or was that just a spacer for more excursion because some times i seen them on them and some times i dont.

I HAVE GOT A FI BL 18 THAT EVERYONE TELLS ME TO GET A BIGGER AMP FOR IT, IM RUNNING A KICKER KX 1200.1 THAT PUTS OUT ABOUT 1300 RMS. I THINK THE BL 18 IS ONLY 1000 RMS SO I DONT BELIEVE I WOULD NEED A BIGGER AMP WOULD I? THIS SUB HITS 143 ON TONES IS THAT GOOD NUMBERS FOR IT?

Howdy, I'm looking to pick up the fully loaded BTL 12 dual 1 ohms. Simple questions: What amps would you fine folks push it with? Typically I'd go with a pair of subs, but I'm not confident a ported enclosure would fit in the back of an 09 Challenger without swallowing up the entire trunk. Any suggestions?

bought 2 BLs last year and they finally blew out, last night i ordered a recone kit for them, but i was curious is it possible to use a BTL con on the BL to handle more power??

Need two 18's and have 3500wrms per sub @ 1ohm. Whats my options ? Want to smash my face in, so clue me up please. Will be walled, 16cuft a/d tuned to 35hz. Or should I wait for the Supergauss subs ?

Is this a good combo, I chose PDX because I currently have it, I also have a sound processor for it to adjust the bass because the pdx doesn't have one =/. I am getting rid of my 1243d Type X. Also it is going to be in the Type X box at 2.0 ft^3, 33-36hz, 1.82 net. Is that good?

Ok so im planning on running Stinger hpm 0 ga, with a audioque 2200d pushing a 12" btl in a 2.0 cu. ft. box tuned to 32 hz will be getting bigger soon got it cheap from a friend, and will be keeping my alpine cda 9883 hu for now, this setup will be in a 04 ranger edge with the 3.0, may take my old 4ga wiring from old setup to do big 3, mostly depending on how bad dimmage i have, is there anything ive missed or need to do other than that? Also i hear a lot about people "clipping" being a noob what can do to not let this happen so far ive had 3 audio setups and have had none blow dont wanna start with my btl! Thanks

I have a 3500d series DD motor, that needs a recone, the basket originally was a 4 spoke 15, but was damaged and tossed, i still have the black plastic spacer but only one of the screws to connect the basket. so possibilities of turning it in to an 18? and cost? 3 inch coil, int. leads, extra spider, new basket and screws.

So, I'm going to Vegas for a vacation from the 10th-18th Sept. Any chance for me to see the factory? Seriously.

Hey guys, just trying to get an answer. I just bought a blown RE SX 12 off of a guy, and I saw on youtube that someone had an RE SX 12 reconed by FI. I am VERY interested in getting this done to my SX, and I've sent a few emails over the last couple weeks but FI must be really busy. I was hoping to get an answer to just a few quick questions. 1. Im totally lost on what options i should choose when configuring a BTL. Im looking to get a 12". Its gonna be used as a daily speaker in a ported box. im confused about choosing the P chamfer and the cooling part, and the rest of the options lol. I already have an amp that gives 2700 watts RMS, so most likely ill be using this amp unless this isnt safe? please help me in deciding which options i should choose while keeping the things i stated before in mind. Thank you in advanced. please help my noob self as much as possible

anyone have any specs for a 4th order bandpass box for a Fi Q 12"?

First off Im gonna get either a BTL or Kicker, cant make up my mind. Either a Kicker SoloX 15(2) or Fi BTL 15(2), the kicker can handle 2500RMS @DVC 2 ohms and the BTL can handle 2000RMS @DVC 2 ohms.. So would the BTL 15 be able to handle 2500RMS or higher with the P Chamfer, Cooling, HiXmCoil, Daily, I Heat Ring, and not universal options? Also Im gonna try to put these in a lincoln LS, and I cant determine if I want BTL15s or BTL12s, which would you guys suggest? p.s. the amp I will probably be using is a SPL FX1-5500D with 2500RMS @ 2ohm, 3200RMS @ 1 ohm, is that a good idea or anyone got any other suggestions? since fi makes such wonderful and accurate woofers are you guys working on mids at all? i would surely purchase these without hesitation.

Just built my enclosure for my 12 that is going to arrive on tuesday. Vented box is 2.48 cu ft tuned to 32.2hz question is which side of the face should i place the sub in? furthest from the vent possible, in the middle, near the vent? I havent cut out the hole yet, so i figured ide ask while i have time also, how much volume will the sub consume so that i know exactly how much cu/ft i am working with? little interested to hear the sub, every thread i keep reading tells people to buy the BL if you want any kind of spl. Im not going for spl at all, i just enjoy loud low bass with no intention to compete. Beginning to think maybe i should have opted for the BL instead..…

Have a show coming up next week and at the moment I have a DE3000 powering two BL 18's fully loaded. I was wondering as I have another DE3000 lying around would the BL's be ok with taking 3.5k each for just a day (providing everything is set up correctly and I don't play them like a A hole) ??? BTL's are coming soon but was just curious if I should do this or not.

Hello, im new here and had a question. I will be running about 1700watts rms per channel(2 channels) here pretty soon.I'm looking for louder and more bass "air flow", but also don't want to risk blown subs either... Am I better off getting 2 fully loaded 15" BL's, or 2 BTL's? any specific options for either? Much appreciated guys, Josh

ive got a 15 inch RE Destroyer that ive been lookin like a mad man to get a recone for. RE will not do it for me so i must look elsewhere, which i would rather FI do it anyways. Scott or nick please help a brotha out.

Well I just bought a used Fi BTL locally and now I want to rep it with some pride. Im thinking of buying a hoodie since i need one, but does anyone if they run large or small? If you have purchased one let me know. Just curious as what I need to get. To Fi. get some zip up hoodies I'm fairly confident this would be the right place to put this. Also im getting a sticker, where doi u think would be the best mounting point. I am thinking bottom driver side back window. I have a silver 07 grand prix. So i was thinking sticking with silver. Just a light thread no need to crunch numbers etc. Just some opinions.
