Looking at NEW (not used) vehicles that would be good to put a huge system in. It needs to be under $17,500. So far the only ones that I have like are the 2008 Scion XB, and the Jeep Patriot. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks guys. Dan

  2. I just wanted to give you guys a big for how killer my new BL 12 sounds. This is the first sub of this caliber I have ever purchased. It meets and then exceeds my expectations. Paired with my Sundown SAZ-1500D, it just blows me away

Right now someone figured out my box was 3.8 cubes at 31hz after disp. With that, a 15" BTL with no options and a Hifonics BXi2006D I hit a 141.7. That was my best score. I am trying to hit a 150 with this one sub. I am getting alot of different inputs on box sizes to use...and I know hitting a certain score has MANY varibles...but I figured to start off..a better box could help a good bit. It is in an extended cab truck, port up and sub up. I want pretty much SPL, but it is my DD. With a new box, I am still going to be listening to music. So I figured who better to come to for box advice then the people who make the sub.

so i was talkin to one of my buddies that sells car audio in a retail store, and when i told him i got a FI BL he goes so did you get it at the shop in rockford? (rockford, IL). and i go no... i bought it factory direct, the only way you can buy it new. and he said o well theres a shop in rockford that sells Fi. so either hes misinformed or someones buying factory direct then sellin it for a lil more. if this shop is actually doing this, is that illegal?

I got one last week and the other one today. I like how the first one that came in had the black basket, but not a big deal cause it wont be seen. Box build may begin tomorrow after work, but will start sunday for sure. oh yeah, they are BL 18's D2 with cooling, flatwind, universal, and daily and will be run with 2 saz-1500d's.

well i decided that im goin to buy either buy a 15" BL with only the p chamfer or a 15" Q with the BP option, i have a kicker zx1000.1 rated at 1258 watts total, that box im goin to build is ported and 4 net cu. ft. tuned at 32hz. dont have exact dimensiobs but i will soon. my question is, which sub will perform best with that kind of power. i know that the sound is all box dependant, but which one will most likly get louder, and sound better its my first build, so anything that can get loud and sound good doin it is fine with me thanks

  11. I'm torn between the 2 really great reviews currently for the SSD and the Q. Primarily, I want an SQ setup as I think it'll get plenty loud in my Suby wagon. Been running 750w bridged to my 2 Diamond Audio 12s sealed and while I would go with the copper coil config with the SSD, the price difference in going to the Q is really not that much. If 750w to the SSD would be pretty loud, I don't think I would upgrade my amp any time soon. But since the Q is touted so heavily, many are happy with their SSD with around 500w but 1000w seems ideal for it. Thanks!

This time its in daylight and is much shorter because people complained on those points last time haha Although this time im driving and its not that easy to control the car and film while having that much bass ripping though the steering wheel haha Update on sub, its loud and insane, ive done several upgrades such as cleaned everything up, the big 3 and moved things around and I seriously could not believe what a massive differnce the big 3 made on how loud this sub goes! edit* oh and please rate and comment if you like, 5* would be nice

Hello everyone, im new to Fi and have decided to try out one of their drivers, however i need some help. I just recently ordered a 12 BL D2 w/ cooling on the 18th and went down to a local shop where im getting the box made eventually and showed the guy the BL's specs which i had written down so he could get an idea of what he would be building. He took a look at the driver's FS of 37.8hz and thought i was crazy for getting a sub with such a high FS...saying it would suffer in lower frequencies. So i starting thinking perhaps i should of got a Q instead of a BL. Ive got a Nine.1 @ 1200 rms to throw at it for Daily Driving...not SPL comp/burping, etc, just a street beater …

Hi all, I'm new to this and been going by what my friend and his dad tell me but as their taste in music is different than mine I wanted to ask around. I drive a 03 s-10 xtrme ext cab and have 2 12's currently but they are horrid and was looking for something better. I list to alot of rock, metal but i also listen to quite a bit of hiphop/rap. I have a hifonics 2000watt amp and was wondering what size/series of speaker would work good for my taste in music and size of the truck that also work with the amp I already have.

today i went to my local car audio shop to see how much theywould charge me to build me a simple port box for my fi bl 18. i told them i want 7cu .ft box tune to 32 hz and sub up and port to the back. they told me i couldnt fit a box that big in a 1991 ford explorer. they told me i should move my box closer to the front and then they showed me pics of a fake wall they did. it looks good but should i pay $400 for a wall but the box and port is all done with the wall?

  18. Alright so I have had my system in for a couple of months now and I have finally had some time to really get to know it. Now that the hype of having a new system is over I am starting to listen to my normal music and not just rap, so thats stuff like 311, Eve 6, and Modest Mouse. And i have to say is that, it sounds amazing for being a 15. It keeps up with the fastest drum kicks and its clean and crisp. I could not be happier with the SQ of this sub. Before i had 2 10's and those were amazing for rock but this is just as good if not better, I got the benefit of being much louder and having lower notes but did not give up any accuracy! Now for the SPL side of the Q. This …

Ok, I have owned quite a few subs in my quest to find the right one for me. I searched long and hard for a '05 XXX 12 and I finally got one powered by a tantrum 1200.1 in a 1.1 'ish cubic foot enclosure. I think it's suffocating though. It sounds good, I just think this sub was more suited for a larger sealed or ported only enclosure. For my vehicle I can only fit a small sealed enclosure, so I was thinking of going back to a Q12. I have a SSD12 with copper coils/BP but it's in my home theatre setup right now. Should I keep the XXX, because it is an awesome sub or go with a equally awesome sub the Q12 because it's better suited for my application? The vehicle is a 2002 …

I listed to mostly hard rock bands like TOOL, STAIND, SEVENDUST ect. Thank you everyone for helping me. By the way I am facing the sub toward the bed of the truck which should produce a nice backwave.

So i have an fi q 12 sealed at 1.2 cubes and it sounds like chit to me. It isnt musical at all and it makes a ton of mechanical noise. most of the time thats all i hear. I am running it off a hifonics 1606 amp with the gain turned half way up and the bass boost all the way down. I have a alpine 9883 HU with the sub at + 15 and bass -2. The sub is inverted and it is down firing in a hatchback. Any opinions as to why i it sounds so chitty to my ears. I mean my old system was 2 10w6v1s and it seemed like they were twice as loud off only 650 watts.
