whatup folks i was hoping someone can help me i just looked into the fi website and found the ssd12's. whats confusing me is the different options. here is my setup alpine cd/mp3, audiocontrol3.1, audiocontrol overdrive, and us amps400 rated 1200-1400@2ohms. here is the question can a pair of ssd 12's handle this without costly mods? i am not a competitor but i do like to pound sometimes without fear. i really want those ssd's but i dont want to spend 400 dollars just to have to spend nearly 200 more just to get mods. this is not a daily driver so it they wont be abused. i listen to everything from sade to tool to miles davis. they will be in the trunk of a 74 mercedes a…

Hi all, I'm new to this and been going by what my friend and his dad tell me but as their taste in music is different than mine I wanted to ask around. I drive a 03 s-10 xtrme ext cab and have 2 12's currently but they are horrid and was looking for something better. I list to alot of rock, metal but i also listen to quite a bit of hiphop/rap. I have a hifonics 2000watt amp and was wondering what size/series of speaker would work good for my taste in music and size of the truck that also work with the amp I already have.

looking to put a sub in my DD just to add some kick to the stock system. I'v been looking at the Q and the Bl, Both 10" and 12" models. I like realy deep tones but the thing doesn't need to get really loud, i could never meter it. I have limited Space seeings as i got a 2006 Mustang and the truck is a bitch. Thanks Trey.

In the near future I am going to get 2 12" SSDs with copper coil option and a sundown SAZ1500D. For the box I was planning on having the subs hit up and the port back but I'm also taking any opinions on that. Also I might make a sealed box as well for these. I'm going for overall sound quality and just wanted to know what you guys think about the whole thing. Thanks.

today i went to my local car audio shop to see how much theywould charge me to build me a simple port box for my fi bl 18. i told them i want 7cu .ft box tune to 32 hz and sub up and port to the back. they told me i couldnt fit a box that big in a 1991 ford explorer. they told me i should move my box closer to the front and then they showed me pics of a fake wall they did. it looks good but should i pay $400 for a wall but the box and port is all done with the wall?

Hello everyone, Ok so im thinking about adding a second battery in my car in the trunk to maintain voltage drop. right now iv got a red top under the hood, about to do the big 3 and a 120a stock alt with a rockford t10000bdcp and a alpine pdx f4. Im planning on getting a kenetik hc800 in the back to add a little more power to my electrical. What i was wanting to know is would this work properly and just add power to my electrical or will it burn out my alt or anything?? i know iv heard of people adding a battery with a stock alt and was thinking it would be fine because i really dont want to spend 600 on a ho alt right now. my local stereo shop says i need a bigger alt an…

I am thinking about running 3 Q 12's in a boat. I had already made boxes that are .95 cubes a piece when I ordered some Brahmas. Due to Adires current situation the brahmas will not be coming. Anyway, can anyone tell me how the Q works in a sealed box, and if possible how it compares to the brahma. I have not ordered an amp yet, but was hoping to give each sub about 800 watts. Is this enough or do I need to find a larger amp? Right now the only other line I am looking at is TC. I am between the TC-2000, TC-3000, or Q. This kid claimed to do 139.9db which I don't mind...he was running 2 12" MTX 5500 subs, with a kenwood amp. Next thing I noticed is that he had a sticker on his back glass that says "135db+ at the head rest". I was like why dont you meter it at the dash, he was like if I do that I will hit 145db, and when I do the db comp I dont burp because it would kill the competition. Thats what he told me.... Alright guys I'm new to SSA and Fi. I'm Ramin, i live in Cali. I'm paying my friend about 100 a week for a Bl 12" w/ cooling, a Nine.1 Amp, and a custom 2.4cuft box tuned to 32hz. (i'm paying 640 altogether) He had the setup for about 2 weeks, and now decided he's gonna get the bl 18. So he's selling me his new setup. Well firstly, is there anything i should change about that setup. I could for example sell that amp and get a new one. Secondly, i'm not the best with car audio. Here are a few pics of my somewhat recent install and my brand new tint. I got a 15" Fi Q with red dustcap and BP Power, running on a Sundown 1200D at 1 ohm. Put it into a custom built box with white ultra-suede front and 4.0 cu ft volume with (4) 3" ports which i dont think is quite enough but ill be upgrading to a XCON eventually so trying not to put any more money into this system unless absolutely necessary. The tint is 15% all around (back shield, back 2 doors, and front 2 doors) and im considering a 50% on the front shield. Car is a 1999 Volvo S70. Headunit is Alpine CDA-9886..... I received my Fi Q15 yesterday!! I ordered it with the BP option and a Red dustcap to match my car. This sub looks amazing!! The build quality of this Fi product is better than that of other brands. I was really impressed with the multi stranded woven tinsel leads. I cant wait to install it this weekend. I am finishing up my box (4cf @ 30hz.) and will be running a Cadence iA7 in a 07' Chrysler 300C. I'll make sure to post pics when completed. Well after just about worrying myself to death, this bitch came. Initial impressions, the packaging could be a little more sturdy as my sub shifted a bit but besides that, i am definitely impressed by this thing. Build quality is excellent, nice & stiff ready to be broken in. I can't wait to give this thing the business with 1500w. Absolutely beautiful specimen if I do say so myself.
