Ok it's time to start thinking about my crappy alternator and electrical. I'll start out by asking if anybody in here has a 2003 Nissan Maxima and if they have a HO alt. or one with upgraded electrical stuff? I've found a couple for reasonable prices but the sites are somewhat iffy. I was hoping to get away with just doing the big 3, adding a battery, replacing the battery under the hood, and buying a capacitor. The alt. I have now puts out 100-125 amps from what I've seen and I also believe it's the original one that's in my car. What do you guys think? Should I definately upgrade the alternator? Or go with my other choices and try to avoid the alty. part? I als…

Here is my video of Bass Boom Bottom by power supply. My 15" Fi BL is powered by an American Bass VFL 150.1 at 1 ohms...Just recently installed the Epic 160..Last night actually..Not finished installing, still need to fill in the gaps around it with some vinyl pieces...Anyway..Here is a quick video of it..On the Epic I am getting 142 db's with the back seats up..I do have blow through in my rear deck..But the seat is still Up..

Hey Yall well as the tital states i have 2 12" 07 Blz fully loaded with power upgrades cooling etc so how much rms exctly ish are they and what sort of power can i run into them i want to use 5000wrms (tru 5000wrms) with low gains or will i be better of using 2 2000wrms amps 1 to each sub i dont want to blow them but i dont know how much they will take any thoughts or suggestion thanks peeps bring the BASS xMplar

Is it possible for a lanzar 2000 to power 2 15" FI BL FL and still have 1100 watts to each? thanks

Compare the BL 10 to the SSD 10 and the ssd has the same xmax so wouldn't it move the same air therefore being the same. and on the website it say the bl has 18 mm xmax and the ssd has 21mm so wouldnt the ssd be louder then?

Hi! So I´m planing to buy my first BTL 18" in summer. The amp that i´m going to use is Alpine MRP-M2000, because I dont live in America, I live in eastern europe and amps like hirfonics or sundown are hard for me to get (only at ebay, but this includes high transport costs and i´m not very rich either). I´m right now upgrading my highs and mids and gona buy soon a new alternator so everything is getting slowly ready by the time. But one thing is on what i´m not so sure jet: should I get dual 1 or dual 2? is there all in all any big diffrence? and how i wire them? Hi everyone, i just came across 2 fi Q's. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on an amp for them, its gotta be around 2000w rms @ 1 ohm. I found a Hifonics Hercules which is 2000W @ 1 ohm but i was wondering if there were any better choices.

I read th eoptions explanation for the SSD but i was wondering if the copper coil increases the thermal power handling of the SSD i know flatwind bumps it up to about 1200 but i was possibily thinking about 4 SSD's + copper running off of 4000 rms

Just bought a second hand 18inch single slug motor btl. I would like to know if you can Visual Check the Specification on BTL series. This is question is for newbie like me. all i can say there is an allen bolt found in the bottom of the motor. also flashlight thru the peek holes seems i only viewed the top vc former and a round thingy blocking the view of vc windings. so i just bought a jl 1000.1 amp and now im about to buy a fi 12Q. which voice coils should i get and how should i wire it? the box im going to build is 22"w-9.5"d-14"h sealed with 1.186^3 net air space in my tc. sorry for the noob questions, im not very good with wiring.

I have a BL 15, but im thinking of bumping up to 2 BL 15, but what is a good amp that can power 2 fully loaded BL's? and what kind of batterys? im thinking of facing the subs up. or straight back, or face both inside of the ride and close it up... im just wondering what amp... i have a redtop, and have the big three... jus little things, but im wanting to upgrade.

I could not wait longer till my other subs sold... So I just sucked it up and purchased the BL. Can't wait guys!

In the near future I am going to get 2 12" SSDs with copper coil option and a sundown SAZ1500D. For the box I was planning on having the subs hit up and the port back but I'm also taking any opinions on that. Also I might make a sealed box as well for these. I'm going for overall sound quality and just wanted to know what you guys think about the whole thing. Thanks.

i have a fosgate t8002 amp right now but i plan on upgrading somewhere down the line...i want to run a one sub setup....i really want a 18 but am i underpowering it for now up until i upgrade my wattage?....will a 15 sound better and louder since im not pumpin that much power into it?....also...what do i buy a dual 1 sub or dual 2 sub...also what series is best for me....the q or bl or ssd.....it is going in a 85 cutlass...i listen mostly to rap...thanks

Meant to say single wall boxes but that just didn't happen i was too enthused at laughing about the basket making noise...even after all of that the sub still works.. Anyhow...keep your packaging. Don't send us this stuff back with a bunch of peanuts or anything in a single wall box and expect a 70 pound package to not be broken in 30 pieces.

Just wanted to drop a line about the guys at Fi Audio. I ordered my Q12 on April 4. I just recieved an email that FedEx picked my package up today and should be delivered to me at the latest by Friday. Not a bad turn around time, took exactly 16 business days for it to go through the build process. I got an email last Thursday that they finished all the steel and were waiting for the motor to dry. today i went to my local car audio shop to see how much theywould charge me to build me a simple port box for my fi bl 18. i told them i want 7cu .ft box tune to 32 hz and sub up and port to the back. they told me i couldnt fit a box that big in a 1991 ford explorer. they told me i should move my box closer to the front and then they showed me pics of a fake wall they did. it looks good but should i pay $400 for a wall but the box and port is all done with the wall?
