So, this morning at around 7AM, i get into my car, turn up the volume, and no bass. The sub wasnt playing at all. the lights on the amp were on, but i drive for like 15 minutes, still nothing. after 7 hours after school, i go to drive home, and still nothing, about half way home, BOOM the bass kicks in, just as loud as normal, no abnormalities. what could have caused this? ive had the setup installed for a week or so. 1 15" FI BTL Hifonics bxi-2608D Alpine IDA X100 headunit i have NOT checked ALL connections yet, but what else could it have been, it hasn't happened again yet. I will get a lot more concerned once it happens again, but right now, im not too worried.

I'm going to order a BTL 18 1-ohm after I order a T1500-1bd. I was planning on getting all the options, daily, and universal. I was just wondering if there's any downside to getting the universal option. Thanks for the help.

truck - 05 chevy colorado amp - sundown 3500d elec - 2 kinetik 2000hc's. big three. box - 4.5 cubic feet tuned @ 32 hz. two 12 bls' or two 12 btl's? looking for spl. but i also want musical daily driving. i know bl's are more musical and btl's are more loud but i wanna know if one has a significant amount of sq or spl compared to the other. example (not saying its true) : bl's and q's are not much of a difference sq wise, but bl's get very noticably louder.

Well guys, thought you might want to see what I got in the car finally. After a LOT of hard work (totally dynamatted the car, custom mounted Utopia tweets in the front, etc etc) I got the subs in today and started hittin on em w/ the Fosgate T20001bd. Here's a quick pic after I got the subs in. The box is 2.25 cubic ft. per sub, tuned to 32Hz. It's not the Cadillac of Meade's, lol but it'll do for me. btw, props to Fi, Scott, Nick, everybody on the "team." I played the subs for about 15 minutes and I'm ready to go jam em tomorrow hehe.

This summer I will be looking to upgrade my system. I am strongly considering an Fi product, but I do not yet know which one. I guess my question is what the minimum and maximum power you would suggest running on the SSD, Q, and BL. I would not be purchasing a BTL due to power requirments. I certainly do not want to blow a new sub, but I do not want to underpower them either. So, what is the power range, as well as optimal for each of the three? Thanks

I am seriously considering ordering 2 12" BL's but when I click on the BL link on the page, nothing appears. Is anybody else getting this? Also I know this has been discussed before but I am still debating between 2 Fi BL's or 2 AA Havocs. Im going to be running them off the Sundown 1500d. Do you think its enough power and which would you guys perfer ? I am looking for something with good SQ and also that deep HARD hitting lower bass. Any response would be great. Thanks If this helps I listen to a lot of hip hop/rap and some rock. I havent decided between a sealed of ported box yet but I am thing I am going to have to put them in a sealed box due to space constrictions. I…

  11. Well after just about worrying myself to death, this bitch came. Initial impressions, the packaging could be a little more sturdy as my sub shifted a bit but besides that, i am definitely impressed by this thing. Build quality is excellent, nice & stiff ready to be broken in. I can't wait to give this thing the business with 1500w. Absolutely beautiful specimen if I do say so myself. The pictures just don't do it justice... anyways on with the good stuff! Whats this? sexy? oh yeh so sexyyyy Will it be loud? Oh yes, it will be loud

Hey guys Sorry if this topic is in the wrong section. I just have a quick question. I am ordering a fully loaded BTL 1 Ohm for daily use with some SPL shows. I was thinking of running this bad boy off a HiFonics BXi 2610 Class D mono Block. It says it runs 1 ohm: 2600 watts x 1 chan. I have a HiFonics amp right now and I like it.....but I think its overrated as far as its RMS is, so my question is will this amp in question be OK for the BTL is it too much power for it even if it a little less than 2600 RMS? Should I consider a totally different amp? Thanks a lot guys

  16. im currently looking into buying a Fi Q 18 right? well, i dont have any car amps currently! (Had to sell my two 600 watt kenwood amps, yea i know it isnt much power, but it was plenty for my 6000s) So, since I def. dont have enough to buy a SAZ-1000 yet, how much would you say could get the Q moving? like 500 rms? 800rms? 1000rms? I dont wanna spend a whole lot, cause I want to buy a SAZ soon, but I dont want the Fi just sitting around, you know how it is when you get a new sub, you wanna hook it up as soon as the box is done! Cant just finish the box and put it in the garage and watch it gather dust. enough-power-for-minimum-before-I-buy-the-bigger-Sundown-amp budget Bu…

Got my recone in today, and it was a dual 2, and needed a dual 1. The coils read 1.6, I've checked multiple times and confirmed with another dmm. Everything else in the package was correct as far as the basket and dust cap. I understand the mix up as I ordered a d2 originally online and contaced you about the change via email and this forum. Please contact me about this issue as soon as you get a chance. Thanks. My email: [email protected] Order # 930 REXXX recone

hey, i have a destjl built E15k (with the boob cone and blue e), and i spoke to nick via email a few months ago about a recone. I am just wondering if these would basically be arsenal parts, and how the sub would compare to the original. The e15k and the 15 arsenal have similar specs, xmax, and box requirements, so i figure this would be a good match. Just curious, and i may find out what that would cost if this is a good match. thanks brian

Will the 10" FI X be ok in about .80ft^3, or is that too large for sealed? I bought a prefabbed subthump box for another sub and have decided I would rather use the FI X. This is going under the rear seat of my CC Sierra. I don't mind cutting an end off the box and closing the box up a little bit if necessary! Or would I be better off opening up the sub hole and putting an FI X 12" instead? I only have 6.5" of mount depth before the magnet touches the bottom of the box. Thoughts or opinions on this?

whatup folks i was hoping someone can help me i just looked into the fi website and found the ssd12's. whats confusing me is the different options. here is my setup alpine cd/mp3, audiocontrol3.1, audiocontrol overdrive, and us amps400 rated 1200-1400@2ohms. here is the question can a pair of ssd 12's handle this without costly mods? i am not a competitor but i do like to pound sometimes without fear. i really want those ssd's but i dont want to spend 400 dollars just to have to spend nearly 200 more just to get mods. this is not a daily driver so it they wont be abused. i listen to everything from sade to tool to miles davis. they will be in the trunk of a 74 mercedes a…

Its gonna be used as a daily speaker in a ported box. im confused about choosing the P chamfer and the cooling part, and the rest of the options lol. I already have an amp that gives 2700 watts RMS, so most likely ill be using this amp unless this isnt safe? please help me in deciding which options i should choose while keeping the things i stated before in mind. Thank you in advanced. please help my noob self as much as possible

OK, so i've had 2 hifonics bxi2006ds for my 2 btls, but I've been wanting more power. I just purchased one of the bxi's not too long ago, and I take real good care of my stuff so my bro bought it for almost what I paid. To replace it I just purchased a SoundStream 10000d from another member of this forum. I was thinking I'll just go buy another one to match, but I'm considering waiting for the 2nd amp to do side-by-side comparison of different amps that claim to put out a lot of power. I want to put 4-5kwatts per btl for daily and maybe a few comps, but mainly just groud-pounding, so one amp per sub. Whatever I find to be the best sound/spl combo I'll get 2 of. As I do th…
