Hi everyone, i just came across 2 fi Q's. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on an amp for them, its gotta be around 2000w rms @ 1 ohm. I found a Hifonics Hercules which is 2000W @ 1 ohm but i was wondering if there were any better choices.

I've had a family member offer to give me two identical Cliff Designs amplifiers from one of his old setups when I mentioned that I plan to get a Q12 setup going. I had previously been looking at a Hifonics HFi1500D. He is rather insistent. As I don't want to offend him, I'm wondering how practical it is to use one amplifier per voice coil. I could get 1000W out of it the pair theoretically (500W x 2 amps @ 2 ohms) by doing that instead of only 700W (700W x 1 amp @ 1 ohm) that the gear can provide otherwise. I know not if the amplifiers themselves can be strapped, so it would have to be this route if I wish to use them both. I have an oscilloscope that I could use f…

Alright guys I'm new to SSA and Fi. I'm Ramin, i live in Cali. I'm paying my friend about 100 a week for a Bl 12" w/ cooling, a Nine.1 Amp, and a custom 2.4cuft box tuned to 32hz. (i'm paying 640 altogether) He had the setup for about 2 weeks, and now decided he's gonna get the bl 18. So he's selling me his new setup. Well firstly, is there anything i should change about that setup. I could for example sell that amp and get a new one. Secondly, i'm not the best with car audio. My friends help me with most of the installation etc. I know a decent amount though. The setup will be going in a 07 Audi A4, and a couple friends have been telling me that i'd need a new head unit …

This summer I will be looking to upgrade my system. I am strongly considering an Fi product, but I do not yet know which one. I guess my question is what the minimum and maximum power you would suggest running on the SSD, Q, and BL. I would not be purchasing a BTL due to power requirments. I certainly do not want to blow a new sub, but I do not want to underpower them either. So, what is the power range, as well as optimal for each of the three? Thanks

I like realy deep tones but the thing doesn't need to get really loud, i could never meter it. I have limited Space seeings as i got a 2006 Mustang and the truck is a bitch. Thanks Trey.

  11. im currently looking into buying a Fi Q 18 right? well, i dont have any car amps currently! (Had to sell my two 600 watt kenwood amps, yea i know it isnt much power, but it was plenty for my 6000s) So, since I def. dont have enough to buy a SAZ-1000 yet, how much would you say could get the Q moving? like 500 rms? 800rms? 1000rms? I dont wanna spend a whole lot, cause I want to buy a SAZ soon, but I dont want the Fi just sitting around, you know how it is when you get a new sub, you wanna hook it up as soon as the box is done! Cant just finish the box and put it in the garage and watch it gather dust. enough-power-for-minimum-before-I-buy-the-bigger-Sundown-amp budget Bu…

currently i have three q12's sealed in a mazda 3 sedan firing through the rear seat opening i have a 1000 watt amp on each. some of the choices that i have are.... 1.) get 2 q15 and run them sealed firing into cab via rear seat opening 1000 on each (less weight than i have now and less current draw and should be louder) aprox 530.00 A. if i get these and i have an itch to eliminate trunk space i can go ported but i dont think i will have room for 2-15's ported due to lack of area in rear seat opening for 2 15's and a port so this not likely 2.) get 1 btl and ported obviously with 1000 on each coil. through the rear seat opening. A. how much does it weigh i don…

Hi, this is Logan from ecoustics. This is my FI BL 15" Dual 2ohm. It is powered by an Orion 2500D @ 1ohm. I have it in a 3.5cuft enclosure @36hz. This sub is by far the best I have ever had. It get way louder than my RE XXX 15" on the same amount of power. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/5/330070.html

Hey guys I have a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis that I currently have a 12 inch Orion HCCA 12.4 in with an over sized box as seen here And I'm looking to get two Fi Team 15's but I have no clue what the measurements would be for a box or better yet if said box (ported I only do ported) would fit properly in even a trunk that size as I've never owned 15s idk. And help, link or measurments will do thank you.

Well guys, thought you might want to see what I got in the car finally. After a LOT of hard work (totally dynamatted the car, custom mounted Utopia tweets in the front, etc etc) I got the subs in today and started hittin on em w/ the Fosgate T20001bd. Here's a quick pic after I got the subs in. The box is 2.25 cubic ft. per sub, tuned to 32Hz. It's not the Cadillac of Meade's, lol but it'll do for me. btw, props to Fi, Scott, Nick, everybody on the "team." I played the subs for about 15 minutes and I'm ready to go jam em tomorrow hehe.

hey, i have a destjl built E15k (with the boob cone and blue e), and i spoke to nick via email a few months ago about a recone. I am just wondering if these would basically be arsenal parts, and how the sub would compare to the original. The e15k and the 15 arsenal have similar specs, xmax, and box requirements, so i figure this would be a good match. Just curious, and i may find out what that would cost if this is a good match. thanks brian
