General Fi

Whats good guys just found this board and decided to join. At any rate, been thinking of upgrading subs to FI but not sure which ones. I currently have 2 RF p2's powered by a RF P500.2 with a cap and am pretty happy with it but i want more. I found FI and have heard nothing but good things. Keep in mind i have a Chevy SIlverado with a sealed box under my rear seats. What FI subs could i use with this box or would u guys recomend another box? Really looking into the BL's but not sure what will fit and such. Any help will be appreciated

WHERE THE HELL IS THE 15???? (BL)

Okay I have a new(to me) car, a 2001 saturn ls200. I want to get a system going but my 1 15RE SX isn't quite cutting it. So, should I get 1 18 or 2 15's. Either way, I'm leaning toward elemental designs 15/18 or FI SSD or Q for 15/18. I know it'll be a bit biased here but please be as objective as possible Thanks

My name is Jason from Il. Just wondering whats going on with my 15" BL. Scott not sure if you remember talking to me, and saying that one was going out that day which was Fri. the 18th and possibly the second one. Worst come to worst it would go out monday the 21st. I have only received one. I also have never received any emails from UPS. Just wondering whats going on as I have sent a few emails and no response. Not sure if your not getting them or what

Ok so i was wondering if anyone here can reccomend a 1ohm 1000w RMS mono amp to use with a 12" SSD? I chose BP power and copper coil for the options. Also i was wondering if there would be a difference between 1000w RMS @ 4 ohm and 1000w RMS @ 1 ohm. Right now its running 4ohm but the highs are not that loud. Lights dim more but its not as loud compared to lower notes.

I have a 2008 bl 15 w cooling and flatwind option on a us amps 2000x (2000w easily). Have had this setup for bout 9 months now running with no issues but it seems as of late that it just doesn't seem to be as accurate as it used to be. Also feels like I'm missing some punch. Being that I've been throwing a lot of power to it, possible that the soft parts properties changing from all the movement?

Just wondering if i can get a flat dish style dustcap with my 15" RE SE recone. I'm not really into the "boob" style dustcaps as they blow off too much lol. Also what is the power handling with the integrated leads and d2 ohm flatwind coil?

:morepower1:So on friday I got home from school to find a big brown box on my pourch and I was like a kid on christmas morning. I opened up the box and out came the woofer. It was amazing, a huge step up from the 12 inch L7. The only thing I noticed wrong was that the rubber cap circling the woofer was a little too big, and the holes for the screws had not been drilled throught the rubber. I was so happy I didn't care one bit though, and I threw the woofer in as fast as I could. It is extremely loud and clean and gets low without distortion. I played for a while and was taking it all in and the woofer practically pulled itself out of the box while I was playing a 20…

I have emailed Fi a couple of times and havent gotten a response, I know they are ususally pretty busy up there so I figure I'll see what everyone here knows about this.. I currently have the original style 18" BTL and want another one, my sub has P.Chamfer, hixmax coil, 3rd mag, dual 1, and daily option.. can I get another one to match this one so I can run 2 of the same subs? or are they completely out of production.. I am aware the new BTL is probably better than the one I currently have but, I cant afford to buy 2 new ones .. Thanks for any help.......

I recently purchased a re cone kit and a CA glue kit. I am wondering if this shipped by default or do you expect me to ship the sub in? I verified the money was transferred from paypal, but I never recieved any type of confirmation for my order besides the default email. Has this shipped? Is there any way for the customer to check on the process and see the status of order? The order total was 136.20, and I have the paypal transaction ID if needed. I do not see a order number on the comfirmation email. It was purchased March 17th. RE SE recone was the order (15"). I have not recieved a UPS tracking number or any other email since the initial purchase. Thanks for any help …

Ok, now I figured this is an infinite baffle. Just found out by googling it. Now comes the real question, What positives and negatives come from an inifinite baffle? Do they sound good at all and can they produce some nice SPL or would I be better off just makin a ported enclosure.

I sent my subwoofer in a while ago (more than a month ago) and I've sent out numerous emails and pm's to you guys about when and even if I'm getting my sub back and still no response. Shawn I talked to you a few weeks ago and you said you would check into it for me that same day and never got any news back. I thought this might be a better place to get your attention. So I checked last night UPS said Shipped, FI said shipped and its schedualed for next wed. I am very happy. But now Im starting my box build And I think Iv changed things a little.. I was running 6 cubes Net Volume. That was perfect for me as it just maxed out my the dimensions I could use...However, I think that in reality after displacements ill be down around 5 cubes... Is that enough? Or should I bump the box up to 7 net cubes? Any advice? Thanks

Hello, I plan to buy some subs from here. I have a 93 camaro. Im wanting a very loud system with decent SQ. Ive been told to just get 1 10 in a custom box on another forum, but was hoping an emloyee would help me more. I was planning on getting 1 BTL 10/12/15 but dont know which would be best given the room in a camaro trunk. In a chevy tahoe. He swears by rocford and im wanting a system that will be just as loud, if not louder then his.(least thats what im hoping for)

Well today i recieved the Dustcap for the Fi X 10 i was going to write a review on, (thanks Scott) and went out to the garage to glue her on so i can get some listening in tomorrow. Welli get out there and my CA glue is rock solid, i havent used it in probably a year so i guess it was time for it to harden up. So i guess i gotta wait now til i can make it down to Hobbytown or somethign to get some glue, as i dotn wanna play it at all without the dustcap because that wont be a "fair" review. So im upgrading my system again, I first had 1 Q 15 sealed with the High qts option, then I wanted to go ported, so I bought another Q 15 with high QTS to be the exact same as the first sub. Im now going to rebuild my wall and run 4 FI Q 15s (later ill probably SP4s) the next 2 subs I get will have all the same options as the other 2 but should they still have High QTS since im running ported? I know high QTS is not optimum for vented enclosures, but should they all be the same when it comes to QTS?

I know you guys do not check the forums very often, but I've sent a few emails and I know that you guys are super busy, so I just wanted to ask here of the off chance on of you checks it. I sent in my AA Havoc 15 to get repaired and got it back good as new (excellent service btw). But I was wondering if you could tell me exactly what went wrong with it, as we were never able to figure it out. Not just "mech issue" or "thermal issue," I am wondering what actually went wrong so I can make sure it doesn't happen again. Thanks for the great service and sub guys!
