I currently have 2 SSD 15s (with copper coils) in my jeep wrangler. I have them in a ported box but they just arn't loud enough for me. They're on a sundown 1500d and i have another sundown sitting around waiting to be used. I'm wondering if 4 SSD 15s in a sealed box would be louder than 2 in a ported box. I don't think i have enough space to put 4 in a ported box. Would 6 SSD 15s be noticeably louder than 4? With 2 i can give them more power than they can handle. With 4 they'll probably get about 750 rms each. With 6 they'll probably get about 500 rms each. Is the increase in cone area worth the decrease in power per woofer? i have a kicker zx1000.1 which is rated at 1258 watts at 2ohms. and i was wondering if this will be plenty of power for a daily setup with only the pole chamfer on the sub, o and i listen to rap 99% of the time, so im thinkin that this will be fine, and im also leaning a little more towards the spl side over sq im goin to bulid a box soon for it, it will be 4cu. ft. @ 32hz, dont know the exact dimensios but i will know soon thanks

Ok so i was wondering if anyone here can reccomend a 1ohm 1000w RMS mono amp to use with a 12" SSD? I chose BP power and copper coil for the options. Also i was wondering if there would be a difference between 1000w RMS @ 4 ohm and 1000w RMS @ 1 ohm. Right now its running 4ohm but the highs are not that loud. Lights dim more but its not as loud compared to lower notes.

:morepower1:So on friday I got home from school to find a big brown box on my pourch and I was like a kid on christmas morning. I opened up the box and out came the woofer. It was amazing, a huge step up from the 12 inch L7. The only thing I noticed wrong was that the rubber cap circling the woofer was a little too big, and the holes for the screws had not been drilled throught the rubber. I was so happy I didn't care one bit though, and I threw the woofer in as fast as I could. It is extremely loud and clean and gets low without distortion. hello i have a quick question, ive seen the btl 15 has a xmax of 16 mm and the bl 15 is 21 mm so the bl shoud come out more than the btl how can the btl be louder then?? right now i have a bl15 fully loaded, whats the most power i can throw to it. i was thinking of a rockford fosgate t10001b is this a good amp or is there something close or same cheaper?

Anyone at Fi, I need to send back my 15" Q for repair. My brother wanted to help me when I was attaching it to the box and he slipped with the drill, poking a hole in the rubberish material between the paper cone and the gasket. I was wondering what repair costs would be for that? I no longer have the box it was shipped to me in, so what I will have to do is have Fi send me a box for it. in case my subs dont sell, im wondering what a recone costs. the purpose of reconing 1 month old subs is simple...trying to make them dual 2 ohm instead of dual 1 ohm and want to see if it would be cheaper to buy the kits instead of selling my bl's and rebuying another set thats dual 2 ohms. two zip codes 91941 and 91730. if i could get a quote on a 18" dual 2 ohm bl recone kit i would appreciate it. oh btw, you can recone to a dual 2 from a dual 1 right? they dont have different dimension that wont fit do they?

Here my Review of the 18" BL. When i first seen the UPS guy drive up, i was very anxious. i actually ran up to the truck.It was Very funny to see the UPS Guys Struggle with the box. I Knew the box would be big, But this Box is very huge as you can see in the picture. MY first look i was like WTF? So i managed to get the box in my room i immediately Pulled out my knife to open the box. Just purchased a new in crate 18" btl with the ufo style motor.is there a way i can tell if it has the daily use or spl option?? The sub is EXTREMLY stiff.. I looked on the inside to see wat it said in maker on the former but all it said was dual 2 btl 18 fc. Ok so im planning on running Stinger hpm 0 ga, with a audioque 2200d pushing a 12" btl in a 2.0 cu. ft. box tuned to 32 hz will be getting bigger soon got it cheap from a friend, and will be keeping my alpine cda 9883 hu for now, this setup will be in a 04 ranger edge with the 3.0, may take my old 4ga wiring from old setup to do big 3, mostly depending on how bad dimmage i have, is there anything ive missed or need to do other than that? Also i hear a lot about people "clipping" being a noob what can do to not let this happen so far ive had 3 audio setups and have had none blow dont wanna start with my btl! Thanks

Will be going into a 03 Civic sedan, and powered by a Ultimate T3-1000D (around 2000W RMS). 15" BL would have cooling, flatwind, and enclosure would be the following: 3.1 ft^3, 33hz, 43.5 in^2 of port 12" BTL would have cooling, HiXmCoil, and enclosure would be the following: 2.5 ft^3, 33hz, 37 in^2 of port I am wondering if the HiXmCoil would make up for the loss of surface area going from a 15 to a 12? Should I squeeze the 15 into a smaller box or give the 12 lots of room to breathe? I want to move as much air as possible but in a daily driver situation. Hello there. I am looking for a subwoofer to compete in Swedeish serie of Bassrace this summer,I've been looking at the BL's and the BTL's and i am not realy sure what to go with. Because thay need to handle music both loud and ("Good" if you can say that about SPL woofers). The Amp i got at this moment is a Mutant 1500xxx,so i have abit over 1500wrms to play with. I have send mails to you guys at FI somehow i haven't got an replay yet so i'll take this in the forum insteed. Is it possible for me as a Swedish cusomer to buy subs directly from you? well ive asked this question before but it was with the kicker zx1000.1 that i already have. and now im gettin some money so i can mabe get the kicker zx1500.1 for the BL. i dont know wat size i want to get, but it will be either the 15" or the 18". the options i would get for the sub are the cooling, flatwind coil, p chamfer, and the daily option my real question is, can the BL handle 1500-1700 watts daily with those options?? im think it might be a bit 2 much for it. if theres any other amp that anyone recomeends thats around 1300-1500 watts would be great thanks

I just realized I ordered the extreme leads for my BL 18's that are intended for daily/bassrace, I ordered the subs about 2 days ago. Is it too late to get rid of the extreme leads, or is it not really going ot be an issue? PLEASE HELP. If there is somebody I can contact by phone please pm me with the info. Thanks.

hey im brand new to building and i just had a few questions. i've been trying to read up and take in all the material i can get my hands into online. i have a 2000 honda cr-v ex and im looking at getting either the BL15 or the BL12. i wanted to see what everyone thought would be better for an suv. i would be putting it in a ported rectangle box. and it also seems i would want to get the dual 1ohm but what else would i get that is optional? sorry for being such a newb haha. any help is appreciated. i just wanna have all my info done before i buy and ship it ot my house back in the states so i can come back from iraq and install thanks!
