So I am trying to decide between either a Q or a BL. I will be picking up either a 12 or a 15, depending on what kind of car I finally decide to get (is it sad that size of the trunk to fit a bigger box is actually a big factor in my decision?). So I am looking for something clean, but powerful. I listen mostly to rap, but I like to mix it up with some rock every now and again. One of the big problems I have with my current setup is that my subs can't seem to keep up with a quick bass line. So I am looking for something quick, yet powerful enough to feed my need. Alright Ive heard nothing but good things about you guys, and going to start saving up for my system and plan it out now. I have a 1993 camaro. Now my biggest dilema is my trunk, they are fudgeed in camaros.. I want a system with a little of box SPL and LOUD SOUND QUALITY... I want it to hit pretty damn hard and hit lows...but I also want decent sound quality. My choice right now is either between 2 12 BLS or Q's... Now if I can find anyone to build me a box or give me a design with dimensions for a camaro trunk ill go ported. Normally I wouldn't have bid on an auction with so little info but I did. I received the sub its in perfect shape looks practically brand new. Ok if everything goes smooth I should have 4 ssd 12's. They are dual 2s, (the last version not the new ones) comming my way. Hey guys, i had some concerns about my future system. I'm planning to get an FI SP4 18, AQ3500.1D, and a high output alternator 200@idle and 375 max in the very near future. I can't wait to get it, but now I've ran into another problem. My powerbass oem replacement components and coaxials just aren't going to cut it. I'm planning on running 3000rms to the sub. About how much power would i need in some new tweeters and components, etc., to even out the sound? I don't want to hear JUST bass, i would like some nice highs and mids to come close to match it. Any power, speaker, amp, etc., suggestions would be appreciated.

hey guys! i would appreciate some imput from everyone here k so, right now i got 2 12" MTX Jackhammers with a sony xplod amp.. It pounds pretty hard but i've been doing some research, and im set on getting a FI 15" sub and a Hifonics amp.. But I've got a few questions - Is that $90 difference that i would be spending for the BL be worth it over the 15" SSD? (BL with Hyper Pole and Flatwind) (SSD with copper coil and BP Power) - Im looking at just a one sub setup, so do i order Dual 1 or Dual 2 ? the amp at 1 Ohm puts out 1200RMS and 2 Ohms is 900RMS would i hear a big difference in the BL over the SSD. kinda new to FI and this forum. I have a 99 mustang want to do one 15 in the trunk in a 5.5 cf box. i have a audiobahn a1500hct rated at 2000 watts @ 1ohm. my question is can a fully loaded bl handle this or should i get stock btl? i won't be competing in spl comps jus want something to beat on every now and again. btw i will be replacing alt with a 220 amp alt and yellow top under the hood. any advice would be good.

okay i have 2 amps strapped..........so if i strapped the 2 to a 1 ohm load it splits the load so that each amp is receiving a 1/2 ohm load? that makes it unstable if its a 1 ohm stable amp rite.......

Hey guys hows it going? I was hoping that ya can help me out. I currently have a daily/SPL setup in my car. I am bumping a pair of Kicker L7 12s with a Alphasonik amp that is feeding them a 1,000 watts each rms. I love my subs but I feel that I need to upgrade. My subs work great in the USACI lanes and I have gotten a offical 148.5 db with them. But I can not use them for daily use. After about 10 -15 I start to smell burnt coils ( Kicker L7s are only rated at 750rms each). So I am looking to get a pair of 12" BLs. My qustion is; what options should I go with in making this sub? Can I use my current box? It is tuned to 30hz and 4.5 cubic ft for each sub. I am not a hardc…

Hey so i jsut bought a dvc 2ohm 15q. Now i was wondering if the gauge of wire i run inside the box to the sub matters? I have some 8 guage wire layign around but the spring terminals on the subwoofer itself will not hold 2x 8 guage wires which would be necissary to wire the sub to .7ohm. ..... http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learning...mpedance=DVC2x2 If anyone knows if i can use liek 12 guage or like 16 guage for this let me know, or if you have any ideas of how i can get two 8 guage wires into the spring terminal.

Im getting ready to order three fi ssd with bp option, but i want to make sure i get the right ones for my application. I will be running 3 of the 12 inch ssd's off of 2500 watts at 1 ohm. my question is, do i need dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm subs? What is the actual coil impedance? Are they dead on 1 or 2 ohm, or are the impedances actually lower or higher?? I want to do 3 dual 1's ran in series and then paralleled all together at .67 ohm, but if the actual driver impedance is lower than 1 ohm per coil, the total impedance may be a lot lower and i don't want to risk burning up my amp. Now, on the other hand, if i go with dual 2's and wire them in series then paralleled all …
