ok so i have a dual2 ohm btl hooked up with a 1 ohm load so for it to be stable how do i need to connect it to my aq2200d, bridged or what?

I searched but didn't get anything, maybe I didnt search the right thing. I've finally snagged a new engine for my prelude so, she'll be running again and I'm building a new system. I've decided on 2x12 Q's and I'm curious to if a Brutus 2000W mono can power two? I've always been curious how exactly subs share power to one amp? Do they see the same power or is it cut in half? or what? I can get the Brutus cheap at work so I don't know If I should run one 2000W or 2x1200W amps. So far the build will include Polk momo components and (not my choice of speakers but not too bad when you can get them for $130) Hifonics Zeus 4 channel Polk DB 6.5 Rears Probobly a Pioneer DEH690…

i got 1 12" ssd in a ported box and I wanted to screw the amp onto the box, is that gonna cause any problems?

i need a little help with my set up. ok. I drive a 1998 cadillac deville, Phase linear uv8 head unit. Im getting a fully loaded 18" FI BTL and a rockfordfosgate T2000 amp. I have a yellow top under the hood. I will probly get a kicker 1/0 wiring kit or some other 1/0 wireing kit. What eles will i need??

i like how i get my first 18 and it doesnt come with a template for the size hole... i built a box for it before bt it was way off and i just lived with it ... what is the best way to cut my FI SSD to fit in the hole like a king ??? any suggestions would be appreciated

Well after two weeks checking the post office everyday, it finally came lol. my first thoughts of this sub is my god it is huge...built like a tank. it is pretty damn heavy to say the least. i have never owned a sub larger than a 12" so as you can imagine i am very excited to have this. thanks for everything Scott and the rest of the guys at FI. Im not sure there is a car audio company out there that can match your customer service, and of course top notch build quality for an affordable price. here are the pics i took so far i will start a build thread over in the build log section too.

i pluged it up to my home cd player and it was playing for about 12 seconds and my cd player like cut off and restarted so i unplug'd it realy quick like. Did i mess up my sub. It looks fine and doesnt smell burn or anything soooo???? was it just the cd player..

I have a ported box now but i thought for fun i would change the port length to get me a tuning of 28hz. Becuse of the lower tuning will that do anything to the efficenty of the design? Would be audibly different while playing? I thought it would drop lower when i put it in from the begining. thanks

i have a quick question... i bought a dual 2 ohm Fi BL i want to wire in to 1ohm so i can get 1500wrms out of the SAZ-1500D to the sub can i not do that..can i only wire the sub to 2 ohms not 1ohm??

I just ordered 2 recone kits for my FI BL 12's that are fully loaded from when FI was doing 4 inch voice coils in the BL's. I am trying to find out through FI if the recone kits i ordered can be offered with the 4 inch voice coil and if not will the recone kits i ordered work for my subs?? I left a note in the comments on my order but no response yet from FI.

So I am trying to decide between either a Q or a BL. I will be picking up either a 12 or a 15, depending on what kind of car I finally decide to get (is it sad that size of the trunk to fit a bigger box is actually a big factor in my decision?). So I am looking for something clean, but powerful. I listen mostly to rap, but I like to mix it up with some rock every now and again. One of the big problems I have with my current setup is that my subs can't seem to keep up with a quick bass line. So I am looking for something quick, yet powerful enough to feed my need. Ok, im looking into get a pretty nice system, but i cant decide on which sub to get.. 1. new orion hcca 15" OR 2. 1 fi btl 18 was going to run them on a hifonics BXi 2607D at 1 ohm.. what you guys think, im kind pressed for money.

So know that I got that out there, I'm putting a 15 BL in a '93 Saturn SW2 in 4.35cuft@32Hz, and I was wondering what options would be best for me? I will be using this setup for daily driving and I listen to ALL types of music. Right now, I would be feeding this thing 600 watts, but will definitely upgrade to 1000+ in the future. I'm thinking that I will get the cooling upgrade for sure, but I wasn't sure about the flatwind coils. Hey all. I'm upgrading my low-end from 2 12" Xplods and I've settled on 2 15" Fi Qs, with BP Power, pushed by an AQ2200D amp. I'm looking at putting them in a ported box, but I realize this box is going to be quite large (my trunk dims are 40" deep, 19" high, 48" wide). Fi recommends 2.8-4cuft so the box would need to be 6-8cuft right? I'm thinking about tuning it at 32Hz, from what I've heard from a lot of people with these subs. I listen to hip/hop and rap mostly, and I love songs that get low (like Gorilla Zoe or Young Jeezy songs for example). Is this a good tuning freq? I don't want to completely lose some of the "higher" bass notes but I want an extremely solid low…

I've noticed a trend of people getting recones done and buying speakers and are having hard time grasping how our speakers are built. Below is a youtube video tutorial of two top things that have been happening as of late. "Why does my speaker not have holes in it? Should I drill new holes in the aluminum??? " No!!! Watch this!
