Ok, I need some help. I've decided to get an 18" Fi BTL for my expedition. I have no idea what to power it with.....Sundown? Kicker? what?.... I'm kinda indecisive on the amp because I know its recommended for around 1500rms , but we all know they can handle more. And I want more Safely, do you think I should go with some 3000 watt amp - such as the Saz-300d ? Also, with a 150amp alternator, can I get by with two yellow top batteries? Or should I get a 240amp alternator? And if I do get the upgraded alternator, will I still need a battery in the rear?

i have kept in contact with FI about my sub and so far i have been receiving prompt emails. the last email i sent was about 2 and a haf weeks ago, and was told they were waiting on the steel but they should have received it within 2 days. i figured since i ordered a shirt and some decals that may be the issue? i decided to post on here incase there are other users still waiting. please dont take this as a bad review towards your customer service because i am content with the prompt email responses. i just like keeping in touch, so i wont end up waiting 10 months like other users due to miscommunication

I hear all kinds of different installs while playing around on here. Funny thing, I don't really see to many people running a sealed setup, almost all ported and IB. Is there any reason for that? I honestly never heard a sealed setup and am curious.....

Purchased an fi btl sub off craigslist. long story short, the previous guy who owned it did a VERY bad recone job and the tinsel leads that go into the spider were shot and the wire that goes into the cone is too short and when the sub excursions, it simply rips out of the tinsel. I'm going to order a new recone kit but i cant figure out if theres a difference with the btl/n2/n3 and which model this is.. I deleted the guys number because I was so pissed at him that he would sell me something fked up. if anyone can help me figure out what it is or if theres anyway to tell please let me know asap!

Greetings all, I'm in need of a single new 12" sub for use with my current amplifier and sealed box (daily driver), and was wondering if any of the Fi products would work nicely. Amp: Phoenix Gold ZX500 (rated at 600RMS bridged, 4-ohm load) PG websites states the amp may be underrated by 5 to 15% - so maybe closer to 700RMS? Box: Audioformz monoGlass12 sealed fiberglass at .95 ft^3 Other: Factory electrical system, with the addition of a useless 1-farad stiffening cap. Enclosure located in trunk of a small sedan, facing rear corner. Partially open rear deck. Interested in either the Fi Q or Fi SSD 12" in dual 2-ohm configuration, but not really sure if any of the option…

I want to conserve trunk space so I'm not looking for a full out system just something for quality. Is this the right sub or should I get something else? Any suggestion on head units I been looking at pioneers and soud storm. Suggestion will be nice and ill look into them. I'm going to make a box and should be at about 1.8 Will post pictures when all done. Might not be up until later this year since im going on vacation :]. Switching from JBL to FI btw.

I have a 1992 Mazda extend cab and currently I'm running 6 type R 12's. All sealed. I want to run 2 18's in a ported enclosures. What series should I get? I have been told by Scott I should use the Q's. I'm using 2 Mtx Ta7801's and I'm going to get my 3rd in a couple of months. I only have about 12 to 14cbft to work with. I was wondering should I just get 1 of the Bl's? Run all 3 amps to it?

I have an avalanche that will be shipped to you soon for a recone, but it's for the guy that bought it from me. He's paying for the recone and the billing information that will be supplied will be his... I was wondering if I can get a new gasket, because the one I have has a cut about .75" long on top of it, and I'd like it to look good and I forgot that I had switched it between a different driver and I didn't state it in my F/S thread. I couldn't find these gaskets for an 18" online, I saw some for 15" and under but were wayy to expensive, 15+ 45 shipping, which is retarded. I'll write on the paper/information that it needs a recone and a new gasket, unless I can get an…
