General Fi

Alright plan on re-building the box and I may try this. Remember my trunk is extremely sealed off, I have computers and what not all on behind the rear seat and with the panel off it doesn't let much air intot he car. Anyways, I want to face the subs the same way, towards the back and have the port facing up and into the car. It would be built so the port goes directly into the rear deck. How you guys think that will work?

Alright, so months ago I blew my subwoofer. It was still under Fi's one year warranty though so finally, on December 2nd, I sent it in for warranty repairs (with all proper contact information and everything filled out). I contacted Fi shortly after this inquiring how long it might take for them to get the subwoofer back to me. However, this question was not even answered and I simply received back something along the lines of them saying they were very busy and had not even had a chance to look at warranty items (which was understandable considering my sub should have just arrived there maybe a few days before this and since it was right before Christmas). I'm going crazy. My Q should have shipped on the 20th according to my UPS quantum and it still hasn't. I mean, it is all I have left to do my install to make my car go from sounding like to :bigclap: It's driving me crazy! Need....good...music!

after loads of questions i have put in my order for two ssd 12's with copper coils. yesssss so i am an official customer now. i know this doesn't excite anybody 'cept myself but after placing the order i couldn't help it. now ill sit back and relax on pins and needles waiting for the ups truck lol. rest assured when i get em pics and vids will be everywhere!!! thanks for everyones advice so far and there will be more questions trust me.

i ordered a fi btl and it was suppose to arrive yesterday. I was at work and wen i got home there was no note on my door so i can pick it up. Nobody was at home to sign for it so wat should i do? Do i need to contact UPS?

Okay guys, heres whats up. I just got my Bl in FINALLY (100% worth the wait btw) It has all options including FW coil. Now what i need to know is it bad to touch the voice coil? Upon opening the bl's box, my friend said "the vents in the basket are so big you can touch the voicecoil" and then he did:( ikd if it matters though so can anyone help me out ? I mean he didnt like hurt it or anything im just unsure if like the fingure grease could maybe hurt the coil but I could just be trippin. Any help would be much appreciated ! Thanks

alright its been quite a while since i have been on here but i saw that a recone link was added to the fi page....though it doesnt work its still progress.....so i have 2 12" Qs and the one has a fried tinsel lead and burnt spider....the other one just has a hole in the dust cap...i dont know how the kid did it but its pretty large...so what im asking is should i just send the one in and have you guys fix it and just buy a new dust cap then?

well if someone could pm me with a price on reconeing a 18 to a 15 and part two is it possiable to fit 2 btl15's in a box 36wx30 or less deepx20h with a interchangeable port one at around 45-50hz and one at low to mid 30hz. So I've been bumping two American Bass XD 10's powered by a mmats 1400.1 amp. I think I just burned up one of the subs so I obviously want to replace. I want something louder. My system hit 153.2db and that's with two 10's. I like American Bass's products but the VFL's are 1500wrms each and I don't want to buy another amp. I'm looking at the Fi subs and specifically the IB3 12's. Anybody have them? They're 50wrms each more then XD's (500wrms each). The amps 1400wrms @ 1 ohm so I don't want anything that's more then 650wrms each. Reccomend another sub? Thanks =)

WHERE THE HELL IS THE 15???? (BL)

i guess ill go with the single 15" btl in a 5cft ported box instead of an 18" in a 6.5cft box i wish i had the air space for 1 18 btl but one of the members on this forum said by having 1 15 in its correct encloser v.s having a 18" in a 6.5 encloser which is recommend to have 5-8 cft per sub the 15 would be better to get the most bass. i hope everything work out right just seeing what you guys think. I send one to shawn about the contest and a shirt/stickers thing, and actually pointing out I'd rather have Scott write reconed by sign his name and @ FI on the recones I'm getting but since it won't happen I'll take the shirt/stickers instead... unless of coarse scott does want to sign my cones instead in which case I'd pay for a shirt and stickers instead and may end up keeping the subs lol... unnLESS I could get him to sign other complete FI subs down the line... so people can complain as it adds dBs and that's why it's loud lol eh, 1am here, wife's pissed so I gtg... thanks…

The sub is wicked loud. I thought my 2 type r 12's were loud but this sub hands down decimates them.
