I have one ufo mag sytle btl right now that I am using, has the cooling and the high-xmax coil....I have had it since new and remember there being an option for the heat ring(pretty sure thats what it was called,) I got everything but that option...would a btl with the heat ring be ok to throw in with mine that does not have that? I don't know if anybody can tell me if 2 18s will fit in my car, but i drive a Montero LS and my max dimensions are 23h x 35w x 40d. Will that be able to fit 2 18s ported or 2 15s ported

hi Guys, I havent posted here in a while, but i am in need of some guidance. I just ordered 3 hifonics BX1606d's or whatever the numbers are.... Now i have to order some subs, I can't decide between Q's and BL's. I have no idea what all the options are for on the bl's and if someone could explain all of them that would be awesome. I was planning on putting 1 of the hifonics on each, and i also need some advice on box size, tuning etc. SQ is not really a concern of mine, and i have made all the electrical upgrades to the car so everything will work with the power. Ok, I have posted several things in the past asking question to help me with my own vehicle setup, now for something a little off the wall. I'm a couple days away from buying two SS XXX 15s. I intend to run two Autotek MM4000.1Ds to them in about 8 cubes at 30 Hz. This is in the back of an 04 TrailBlazer subs up port back. While I am certain this will get loud I am finding myself leaning towards the fully loaded BTL 15s. The Autoteks would be too much power for the BTLs but let's say you had the option. The SS XXX setup with the Autoteks which, at 3 ohms, would give each sub around 3000 watts, or two Fi BTL 15s in the same box in the same vehicle as the SS with about 2500 watts to each? I am getting a good deal on the SS so even they are still going to cost more I am not unwilling to pay for it. Which would y…

Well I got my 15Q today and man am i impressed just by the looks of it, cant wait to get it in my car and see what it does, anyways have a few questions. Should i have recieved a bill or invoice of some type in case it ever needs to be returned? All that was in the box was the sub a stick and a FI card, also is there a break in period on the sub its pretty stiff. i know not to pout it in and just crank it up all the way but was wondering what other people thought, thanks

I've been researching car audio for awhile but just now became a member here but so far this is what i have in mind for my system.... - Fi 15" Q sealed in a custom box (dont know size yet.. 2.6?) $274 - Sundown SAE-1200D $310 - Alpine CDA-9886 $299 Then i need wires for my amp and my sub... i was thinking of getting THIS for my amp and then use THIS for my subwoofer? Does that work or should i do something else? Also i would need to buy some extra 0 Gauge wire to do the Big 3.... Anything else??? Thanx in advance, Alex

I'm wondering if anyone know if I have to upgrade anything if i just want to put a 12" FiQ in my trunk. I want to conserve trunk space so I'm not looking for a full out system just something for quality. Is this the right sub or should I get something else? Any suggestion on head units I been looking at pioneers and soud storm. Suggestion will be nice and ill look into them. I'm going to make a box and should be at about 1.8 Will post pictures when all done. Might not be up until later this year since im going on vacation :]. Switching from JBL to FI btw.

Im new to the site, currently have 2 12" pioneer champ series pro running off a cpt1-3200d power acoustik amp. 0 gauge stinger wire with all pioneer 5way door speakers + pioneer 3200dvd head unit. I know im going to need to upgrade my alt. and buy an capacitor as well. Im lookin to buy either one 15btl or 18btl to throw in with these 12s or 2 15s to replace them. Just looking for any good ideas on what sub to get, not worried about the $ either so let me know! thanks

I was wondering if I can get a new gasket, because the one I have has a cut about .75" long on top of it, and I'd like it to look good and I forgot that I had switched it between a different driver and I didn't state it in my F/S thread. I have a Alpine Mrd-m1005 Amp (1000W Rms 1800 peak) amp in a 4.0 cube 35 hz box (aero port) with Alpine Type R 15. Going to purchase a Fi woofer but really unclear as to which sub I should use. Also unsure to what my setup would compare to an Sq/LSQ/Spl setup. Bassically, I love how my current setup shakes the tip of my nose and the hair on my head when I play good bass songs. Seems to hit the lows reallllly well. Also, moves a decent amount of air. I am leaning more towards that setup but something that will take it to the next level. Ok, this is gonna probably be a stupid question. I just got my Fi Q 15, it's running in a 3.6cu ft box tuned to 32hz. I set my gains on my sundown 1500 to 31.6v with a 50hz test tone. I get alot of output on rap and bass tracks, but on music like Dave Matthews or John Mayer, or even Stone Temple Pilots, you really hear no bass and the sub is barely moving. I know I have a little air leak around the bottom of the gasket but I dont think that it would make a difference. I have the sub crossed at the deck at 63hz with a 18db slope. No bass boost at the amp. I really would like to know why I dont get much output. I'm happy with it on rap and bass tracks. I move my back wall a…

Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of research lately and I've come down to two setups that I'm really considering. I haven't listened to many subs personally, but I want my system to be a lout louder than one 15" Mofo. My buddy has a 15" Mofo and it just doesn't impress me. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop and a little bit of rock. Below are the two setups I've been considering. 1) Two Dual 1 Ohm 12" Fi SSD's powered by Cadence ZRS-7500D. Ok i was building fiberglass console for my 12" BL to be run off saz-1500d. Now I havent even taken anything out of box or used any of it yet, and probably trading vehicles this weekend. Now I will be putting stuff in 97 expedtion. My sub is BL 12" with most options except spl and flatwind. I have plenty of room for whatever in this vehicle, so i will probably sale the 12" BL. If i wanted to run some 18" Q's, how would 1 saz1500d run both of them, or should I just get 2 BL 18s with 2 saz1500ds? If i didnt already have my amp, i would just buy 3000d. I have kinetik 1400 to go up front and 1 2000 kinetik now for the back. Let me know any other suggestions also. thanks

All week I have been sitting around like a kid on Christmas eve and finally she arrived yesterday. I dropped her in and added a run of 2/0 welding wire as a ground for better voltage. I am soon to be adding a HO alt and finishing my big 3 off with better wire. Anywho all I can say is wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww this sub is loud as hell. First setup I had that really hurts my ears. Like really hurts them and the thing that I like the most I still have more left in it as far as tuning it. How much are they shipped to 26851? I want one for my old e12k. The old e cone has a little damage to it, running it inverted now. Also, where could I get the glue needed to put it on? Can I buy the glue from FI?
