Im looking at purchasing two BTL15's and I'm leaning toward the Sundown amps. The SAZ-3000D is rated at 3000RMS and I've read that it's underated at that. Is this amp too much for a fully loaded BTL15. I plan on strapping two 3000D's to two BTL15's at 2ohms which should be 3000w per sub.

I am wanting to replace my L7 10" in my 23ft Malibu boat. I have been running the L7 in a small sealed enclosure for most of the summer and been relatively happy. However I have been wanting more. I replaced the sealed box with a 1.6 cu slot ported box and gained a bit, but still I am wanting more. Issue in the boat is no cabin gain obviously and limited space for an enclosure. So this brings me to my question. Which 12" sub in the Fi lineup would be a good contender in the wide open environment that is a boat? I would like to keep the power requirements realistic. My current sub is powered off a MMATS 600.1 just for reference. Thanks for any advice.

Hi All, I know that both of these amps will for for this sub but my main question is, is it worth spending the extra money for the 1.1000 or will the 1.600 suffice? Thanks, Jim

Hey! I finally got my MTX TC8001 amp. 800 RMS @ 2 Ohms. Performance certificate says 916 W, if that helps... I want to get a SSD 15" sub (dual 1+1). I'm going with a ported box, tuned @ 33 Hz. Should I go with a stock SSD with this amp? Or do you recommend coppercoil or FlatwindCoil? Thanks

  6. Made quick friends with Joe and made this really cool video! Windshield was moving even more but my digital Camera w/ 7.1 megapixels really got the job done on this one. Joe was really awesome and inviting to give us a really cool DEMO!! Thanks Joe... We missed you at Slamfest but look forward to seeing you again! Although Joe's S10 is bad AZZ in it's own right, w/o any stereo. I think my girl may be the star of this one. If she would've had one more button undone, on her new Ascendant button up she was rockin, would the vid have been allowed?!?! hehe We all had a great time at SBN 2008 and getting together w/ Joe just made it all the better. As an S10 owner mys…

I'm looking at 2 used 15" BL's owed by 2 different people. Both are D1's and both are Fully Loaded Daily Subs However, I've been told that 1 has the older style double stacked mag and the other has an identical sized single mag. Did they change the mag design? And if so, will these subs perform differently from one another making them not so good as a pair?

I really want to buy a pair of ssd 18's and run them sealed, but everyone on this site say no. I plugged the T/S specs into Win ISD and it seems to be OK sealed in that sense. I have 2 SSD 12"D2s, copper coils, wired in series for an 8 ohm load. I am using them in my house and have them wired as such to use with my Carver PM900 amp. The Carver amp is rated at 900 watts rms bridged and while bridged will not handle less than 8 ohms, hence the series wiring for the SSDs. THIS SETUP SOUNDS FANTASTIC, loud, clean, very tight. The Carver has a power limiting switch which I have enabled that prevents the amp from going into clipping so I am not concerned with that. The subs are in a sealed box with a partition between the drivers at about 1.5 cubes each. My question is with the subs/coils wired as such does that increase the power handling beyond the…

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with dimensions of Front to Back - 36" Left to Right - 45*1/2" Height - 19" I currently am running 6 13w1v2's off of 2 Kicker ZX1500.1 and I am looking to get to 15" and narrowed my options to the 15" BL's. I am wondering what size box I should get and what I should have it tuned too. My box now is the exact dimensions that I've given above. I plan on putting 1 Kicker ZX1500.1 to each of the 15". I like the real low bass as in Young Jeezy, Gorilla Zoe, Lil John...etc but I wanna make sure that my highs are also good. Any idea on what I should get the box tuned too? Are the BL's a good replacement for the 6 that I have in there now? Any i…

Dose Fi still make the 08 models or do they only make the 09 models now. Cause i want to get another 15 and i have a 08 model that means i would have to sell the one i have and buy two 09 models. I mean it wouldn't be a bad thing but i just don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to find someone that will buy my sub. Thanks, Kasey

I have a Alpine Mrd-m1005 Amp (1000W Rms 1800 peak) amp in a 4.0 cube 35 hz box (aero port) with Alpine Type R 15. Going to purchase a Fi woofer but really unclear as to which sub I should use. Also unsure to what my setup would compare to an Sq/LSQ/Spl setup. Bassically, I love how my current setup shakes the tip of my nose and the hair on my head when I play good bass songs. Seems to hit the lows reallllly well. Also, moves a decent amount of air. I am leaning more towards that setup but something that will take it to the next level. Should I go with the SSD or the Bl 15? Knowing that.....My second option is to run my US Amp 2000 (2000W @ 2 ohm) amp to which Iv…

I have had a 15" BL for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is wow. The sub looks and performs great. I have it on an orion 2500D @ 1ohm and it has not failed me yet. Even though it is rated at 1000 watts, with the options im sure it could take over 3000. It gets alot louder than my RE XXX 15" and just about as low. I cant wait to put it on the TL and see what it can do.

Vehicle is a 1998 Explorer TWO QUESTIONS 1 - Do you think it will be effective? Or a GOOD place to start? 2 - Do you think it will take the 20.1 for burps?

I'm planning to buy two of the fully loaded Q15's, and I have a question regarding how to hook them up. When I get them I plan to hook them together either in series or parallel and (This is where the question comes in) run off a monoblock Rockford Fosgate t2500-1bdCP. Now since each requires 1000w rms would it be safe to run them at 1250 off of the 2500w monoblock? I plan to put them in a ported or bandpass style enclosure that'll take up most of my 43inx40inx17in (roughly) trunk. Would this be a good set up for the two woofers? And is that the correct power for them? Also, the second question I somehow forgot, how would I wire two dual 1 ohm Q15's to get them to hook up…
