I really want to buy a pair of ssd 18's and run them sealed, but everyone on this site say no. I plugged the T/S specs into Win ISD and it seems to be OK sealed in that sense. hi guys this is my first time in this site. im thinking of buying 2 12 ssd subs but dnt know how much max power they can handle. i already got a 2nd batt a kinetick 1800 and 2 hifonic 2000 brutus amps. should i connect them at a 2oh or 1 oh. power on da amps is 1300 at 2ohm and 2000 at 1ohm. or if there is a better sub i can get im on a budget of 450 for subs. thank u guys.

last sunday at a comp hosted by doug stockton of sonicfx, i metered my car with 2 btl 15s loaded and 2 orion 2500d. db drag i only got 147.9 (not too happy with that score) bassrace i got it up to 147.2 i was happy with my bassrace score. the thing that was amazing was the subs never lost its sq when i was hitting 147.2 playing music. it sounded clean and didn't lose control. very amazing subs.

Is it ok if i face the subwoofer and port up instead on forward or backward in my trunk. 2010 altima.. would it make a difference?

I have 2 SSD 12"D2s, copper coils, wired in series for an 8 ohm load. I am using them in my house and have them wired as such to use with my Carver PM900 amp. The Carver amp is rated at 900 watts rms bridged and while bridged will not handle less than 8 ohms, hence the series wiring for the SSDs. THIS SETUP SOUNDS FANTASTIC, loud, clean, very tight. The Carver has a power limiting switch which I have enabled that prevents the amp from going into clipping so I am not concerned with that. The subs are in a sealed box with a partition between the drivers at about 1.5 cubes each. My question is with the subs/coils wired as such does that increase the power handling beyond the…

I already sent an email about this i just wanted to see if i could get a quicker response through the forum. Can you guys recone the TC 3 HP motors with the six mounting holes? I need a response fairly soon so i can order another one before they run out. I would prefer them to be tens or twelves and handle at least 1krms each. If you guys recone it will it sound fairly similiar? Thank you

I need help on sending in the sub and knowing what all i need to purchase for the recone. Its a FI BTL 12. Where it says Configure Recone SIZE-12 COIL-FLAT TYPE- NEW SINGLE OHM- DUAL 1 Ohm Basket-??? & Im sending in the sub. I need to know if there is some kind of cooler i can put on the sub to keep it from getting hot. its in the hatch of a 92 camaro RS. PLEASE HELP. I'm looking at getting a 18" q or bl and im planning on putting a Kicker 08ZX1000.1 to it and getting a custom box built for it and will listen daily. I listen mainly to rap, i just love the loud bass you can really feel which one will give me that? I have a 2001 CRV so its an open trunk. And does anyone know the new line fi is coming out with?

Alright, while i sit here waiting for my order to arrive for (1) 18" BTL D2, i decide to browse craigslist.. I run into another 18" BTL D2 which looks to be in good condition.. $380.. now im really confused. lol. I haven't had the box built maybe i should just go with 2 instead of 1? The current amp i have is a sundown saz1500 .. which would be fine with 1 btl but i dont think its gonna cut it with 2 of them.. so my options IF i decide to buy this sub... buy another saz1500 and run them separately @ 1 ohm each... Strap the 2 1500's together and run them @ 2 ohms together.... I would love to sell my 1500 and buy a saz3500 but that's out of the budget right now. Doing this …

i got a re mt motor that has a shifted top plate. can i send it to you guys to align it, and on top of that, have you guys recone it back to specs? i already got a 12 spoke basket and ill be willing to send that in for minor but minor cleaning. thanks

i plan on getting a 15" bl within the next two months. but anyways any of you guys have any suggestions for good amps for a 15" bl. ive seen alot of guys talking on here about sundown but i dont really know much about them or any other amps for that matter. but if you have any suggestions or information that would be great. thanks

I have 2500 watts rms easily disposable at 1 ohm. I dont want anything bigger then 3cuft net for a box, 2 BL 10"s or 1 btl 12", whats the sq like? I have owned (2) 10w3v2s, 1 dd 3515, 4 dd 1508s,1 dd 9512, (1) 12w7, heard kicker didnt like it and heard other subs, I wana know what a bl and btl sound like Im temped to buy this setup. I know the btl 12 will handle 2500 watts but dunno about 10's and i heard the 10 btls are horrible for daily. Little more info this set up is.... trunk rear fire/ported in a jetta price not the problem I want LSQ... not farts not sq with no backing.... So comments?

I am wanting to replace my L7 10" in my 23ft Malibu boat. I have been running the L7 in a small sealed enclosure for most of the summer and been relatively happy. However I have been wanting more. I replaced the sealed box with a 1.6 cu slot ported box and gained a bit, but still I am wanting more. Issue in the boat is no cabin gain obviously and limited space for an enclosure. So this brings me to my question. Which 12" sub in the Fi lineup would be a good contender in the wide open environment that is a boat? I would like to keep the power requirements realistic. My current sub is powered off a MMATS 600.1 just for reference. Thanks for any advice.

So it appears I may have made my box a touch to large and now im concerned about my sub hitting the back of my seat. I originally intended to recess the sub .75inches in a 1.5 inch thick ring. Not being familiar with the metric system I wasn't aware until about a hour ago of how big 27 mm Xmax was. Unless im mistaken that means the subs cone will have a hair over 2 inches of travel from peak to peak before getting into distortion. My concern lies with forward movement. I figured for .75 inches of forward movement, to find out now after the box is being constructed by me ( out of fiberglass ), that I didn't figure right. SO, how accurate is the 27mm measurment? first question: What would be the smallest enclosure you all would reccommend for two fully loaded 18" BTLs seeing about 3500watts(rms)/sub, tuned to the low/mid 30s and mainly for daily driving (with maybe the occassional competition)? second question: i know on your site it says the btl comes in a 10" size, but i thought i remember some problems with it so you all quit making them as 10s. im basically wanting to know if u all still make a 10" BTL that is built for pure spl? thanks, andy mods: u can move this to the FI technical section if u want...didnt know where to put it.

Dose Fi still make the 08 models or do they only make the 09 models now. Cause i want to get another 15 and i have a 08 model that means i would have to sell the one i have and buy two 09 models.
