I recently had a system set up in my xterra and i had purchased a dual 2ohm Fi Q 10" to be run by a cadence iA7 amp. The box was built to be stealth in my xterra and is a sealed and i was told built to house about 0.4cubic feet. (middle of recommended area for this sub) that said, they told me the measured resistance on each coil was ~1.5 ohm so they set up the system to push 3ohm. however, it seems that the sub is rather flat or not quite as responsive as the installers would have expected. i was told that this amp doesn't have enough power for the sub but in t…

I will have a stock car (130a alt., stock battery, big 3 done) and plan to run 1 15" SSD w/ BP power off a SAZ-1500D. Question is, do I buy the dual 1 ohm sub wired at 2 ohms, or get the dual 2 ohm sub wired at 1ohm? Sundown.com rates the 1500d @800rms at 2ohms... Which would be better? Wiring @ 2ohms would have less voltage drop correct? But wouldn't the amp be working harder ie. the gain would have to be much higher when running @ 2ohms? If I ran it @ 1ohm I could keep the gain really low so I'm thinking that this would be better for the amp. Any Thoughts?

I have had a 15" BL for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is wow. The sub looks and performs great. I have it on an orion 2500D @ 1ohm and it has not failed me yet. Even though it is rated at 1000 watts, with the options im sure it could take over 3000. It gets alot louder than my RE XXX 15" and just about as low. I cant wait to put it on the TL and see what it can do.

I just ordered a sub and im pumped at how much it will pump. I ordered a 10"Q, Dual 1Ohm, Burgandy Dustcap to match my car and i cant wait to install it. will there be a new cone design for the Q line or any line? Maybe something that looks like the new AA Havocs. Make it an all black cone with the with the Fi logo painted on the bottom of the cone in flat black. Something like the havocs or the w7's. And since the subs are made to order, you could do any color that the buyer wants to have on it. Sound good to anyone???

I am installing a 2-way active + sub system in a 2007 Civic sedan. Power will be provided by a single 5 channel Kicker ZX700.5 (sub channel is rated at 280 @4ohm / 420 @ 2ohm - under rated per reviews and birth sheets). Head unit is 880PRS. I certainly have enough power to run a X12, but is this even remotely viable for an SSD in a sealed enclosure? As I would like to stick with 5ch amp, my pother choice is a Polk Audio PA1100.5 which is 1ohm stable and can produce 600 watts (not sure about actual output on this model). Keep in mind my goals are to have better than stock sound and my musical tasted run from jazz, to classic rock, punk, salsa, electronic, hip hop, etc. I …

I have a 07 silverado crew cab and Im going to go with 1 12" downfire ported box. How do I know the size of the port Ill need? Also the amp I just bought is an sundown 1200d V2 Should I get a SSD with all the options or a BL with no options? Money is an issue, so if I will be fine with the SSD please let me know, keep in mind I would get all upgrades with the SSD

I recently ordered a 1 ohm 12 Q and a Orion XTR PRO 1000. At 1 ohm the amp is supposed to give out 1000rms. how much does the bp power option raise the rms on a 12" ssd?? would one need this option running 2 off a rf t10001bd 1633rms @ 1 ohm? what coil would be the best-regular, copper, or flat wind? daily driver (possibly a comp here n there for somethin to do but rarely), in trunk of an 00 impala, 2.5 cubes each tuned to around 38hz, i listen to most all music, lots of rap turned up loud, cuz its loud n low.

Hey guys hows it going? I was hoping that ya can help me out. I currently have a daily/SPL setup in my car. I am bumping a pair of Kicker L7 12s with a Alphasonik amp that is feeding them a 1,000 watts each rms. I love my subs but I feel that I need to upgrade. My subs work great in the USACI lanes and I have gotten a offical 148.5 db with them. But I can not use them for daily use. After about 10 -15 I start to smell burnt coils ( Kicker L7s are only rated at 750rms each). So I am looking to get a pair of 12" BLs. My qustion is; what options should I go with in making this sub? Can I use my current box? It is tuned to 30hz and 4.5 cubic ft for each sub. I am not a hardc…

well i made it to my first show may 16 . < tnespl , rockyhill ct. > i came setup to play music, but ended up in woofer cooker class. so i did what i could with what i had setup. i had 1x btl 15 2x saz1500d ford explorer I got a 147.9 <still had some left> i am verrrrrrrry happy for my first try. now knowing what class i'm in i will build a fart box and do better. most important to me is that my kids wanted to compete and thats why i put this together. they had a great time, and want to do it again. thanks for the great deal on the recones. i was the only one with FI subs at this show, sparked a little interest after i ran.
