This is a question I was curious about... I know there are recones for the btl. The question I have, is do they come as a kit (including glue, shims, etc.)? If not, what glue do you guys recommend for gluing the surround, and dustcap? Also, is there some type of special gap tool, or shim that you recommend for correctly centering the vc in the gap? thanks

i got a re mt motor that has a shifted top plate. can i send it to you guys to align it, and on top of that, have you guys recone it back to specs? i already got a 12 spoke basket and ill be willing to send that in for minor but minor cleaning. thanks

I'm looking at getting a 18" q or bl and im planning on putting a Kicker 08ZX1000.1 to it and getting a custom box built for it and will listen daily. I listen mainly to rap, i just love the loud bass you can really feel which one will give me that? I have a 2001 CRV so its an open trunk. And does anyone know the new line fi is coming out with?

i plan on getting a 15" bl within the next two months. but anyways any of you guys have any suggestions for good amps for a 15" bl. ive seen alot of guys talking on here about sundown but i dont really know much about them or any other amps for that matter. but if you have any suggestions or information that would be great. thanks

Hey guys. I was playin around this morning and I came across a post on one of the forums (may be the speaker section) that said the T2 and the BL are about equivalent to one another, other than the T2 costing twice as much. Is this true? I haven't really had time to dig up the specs on the T2, but a little info would be cool. I have some friends who, for some unknown reason, think the T2 is a great woofer.

Here is a link to my box design. Have only ran a Lanzar 1200vibe on it so far as I am not convinced of tuning. Seems to get least cone motion at 33 hz when playing sine waves, so should be close. A bit inconclusive though. Actually the speaker is great, I am not impressed with the vehicle itself for bass. Does not sound as loud as my focus did with a lot less sub, but I know the focus probably loads bass a lot better. Box is 57w, 16.25 deep, and 20 high (6.5cf). The port is 14.75x7.5 and 28.75 long(area 110.6), firing up behind driver. The sub is facing forward on other side. will there be a new cone design for the Q line or any line? Maybe something that looks like the new AA Havocs. Make it an all black cone with the with the Fi logo painted on the bottom of the cone in flat black. Something like the havocs or the w7's. And since the subs are made to order, you could do any color that the buyer wants to have on it. Sound good to anyone???

I have a 07 silverado crew cab and Im going to go with 1 12" downfire ported box. How do I know the size of the port Ill need? Also the amp I just bought is an sundown 1200d V2 Should I get a SSD with all the options or a BL with no options? Money is an issue, so if I will be fine with the SSD please let me know, keep in mind I would get all upgrades with the SSD

So I ordered some woofers from this outfit. In big red blinking letters they announce "Build Time 5-7 Days." That's cool. Tack on another 4 for shipping, so we're looking at two weeks. No biggie. I put my order in, a Friday night no less. It's not till Monday that my payment is accepted, so two weeks from Monday. He wants to compete in local SPL comps, and recently switched from bahns to Vega V-Max. Personally I don't like how the V-max meter or sound, so I am trying to get him to switch to Fi. He is on a pretty tight budget, so I was thinking that the SSD's would be a good option for him to start with. Should the SSD's yield a noticable increase in SPL from the V-Max if they are in a proper box and and correct power?

What is the weight of a standard BTL 15? Thanks.

Sooo...Didn't realize that this is recommended as a minimum(not sure why its not included then) and I would have gladly paid the 10 bucks to add this.... But I didn't know.. Anyways, What do I have to worry about without this?

Would i need to get the dual 1's or dual 2's to get a 1ohm load out of the amp and also how would i wire them to get the 1 ohm load http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=2&I=42 is that the right wiring even though it says its for 4 ohms? EDIT: if i were to get TWO of them

So I had an 18" SSD in my jeep and it was pretty darn loud. I recently took it out because of some water damage to its box and now I'm not driving the jeep anymore. Instead I'm driving a smaller ford focus. I'm highly doubting i could fit the SSD into the ford focus, so I was thinking maybe a pair of 12s. Compared to the SSD, how does the X sound ? I'm mainly talking SPL here, cause I'm sure the X still has great SQ. And i know, dependent on box etc, blah blah. I'm talking straight up though. Will it seem like a major downgrade in SPL ?

got a big boner right now cant wait to get that beast in... igot the dual 1 flatwind,cooling,daily option... someone told me the d2 was better than the d1 just because the d1 has 1000rms and the d2 has 1500 how tru is that ? i know you got more wiring options with the d2 but it cant be that bad right?? anywho im going to be running at least 300 maybe 500rms over ,would you guy consider going over rated rms???

I'm looking to get a 15" SSD and was wondering what options should I choose. I read the sticky and know what they all do but want someone with experience for their input. What options should I get? I was thinking just getting the copper coils. I'm looking mostly for loudness but I do want to maintain some sound quality. I e-mailed FI but they haven't got back to me yet and I'm anxious to buy the sub.
