I need to downsize my 18 to a 15 or 12. I have 3-3.5 ft box max that I want to build. What is the process to obtain the kit, and how do it install it? Thanks Jim

I noticed on some of the pics, the 18'' basket has small square windows at the bottom and the smaller subs have bigger arched windows. Are these generation differences like early or late model baskets? Are they related to the cooling options or BP Power? Do the recent 18s have the bigger arched windows cuz that's what sets the 12 spoke off for me?

I have been thinking about a sundown 1500d but it will come to around 660 can shipped. Looking for something cheaper available in Canada. Unless this is the best option then I will continue to save for it.

Hey guys, i have a question about box size for the BL. I have an 18" BL fully loaded and its going to be going into the trunk of a 1995 Honda Accord Sedan. Currently, the box is mounted horizontally because I needed to do that to get the minimum size of 5 cu ft. However, after taking up the entire trunk in my car and having the subwooferer horizontal. I'm wondering what the minimum size you guys could see? I'm hoping to still keep it ported somewhat low...at around 32hz or so. I realize this goes against all of hoffman's Iron Law and what not, but what are your guys best ideas for this? I'll sum it up for you: Current Box: Subwoofer mounted horizontal 5 cu ft box @ 29Hz…

I Knew the box would be big, But this Box is very huge as you can see in the picture. MY first look i was like WTF? So i managed to get the box in my room i immediately Pulled out my knife to open the box. Once i opened the box i seen the Sub in the Plastic MY eyes GREW!!!! ive never seen an sub so big! even my mom was shocked. once i pulled the sub out the box i were even more amazed. the pictures on the website just doesnt give u any justice to how this sub really look in reality. it's way b…

Hi, I ordered an 18" Fi BTL about a month ago, and have been loving it ever since. Great, chest tightening bass at high volume, and nice deep tones at lower volume. I'm running it off a Memphis Audio Mojo 4000 watt amp. I compete ever so often, just to see what kind of numbers I'm putting up, and this sub has been keeping me on top. The only mistake I made was when ordering, I ordered dual 1 ohm coils, and I should have ordered the dual 2. My subs wired @ 2 ohm (under 2000 watt) for daily driving, and for comps I'll wire it down to 0.5 ohm (4000 + watts). I'm on my 3rd box this month because of all the vague sub parameters, but it's been a good learning experienc…

im not sure if my sub is in need for a recone or not, but there was smoke and the dreaded smell. The weird thing is the coils measure at 1.7 ohms on one side and 1.5 on the other. I looked at em and they seem to be a lil burnt. The sub still plays but its not as loud as it was and theres distortion on certain low and higher-mid notes. Iv not yet gotten to finish upgrading my electrical, been waiting on batteries, then gotta order a ho alt. Big 3 is done tho. amp is a Powerbass Xa-3000D "internals still look new" Knu 1/0 wiring gains were set all the way down most of the time, then at 1/4 and last at half. No multimeter used, I know its all my fault, shouldnt of went that …

Alright I just thought of a quick question. How is the BTL 18" response time? Is it so bad that all I could listen to is rap / bass cds? I know that 10" will have a better response time than 18" but by how much? I enjoy listening to bass heavy songs but not all the time. Same with rap, I enjoy listening to it but not all the time. I enjoy some d n b, some metal, some punk, some speed / grindcore and some other generas.

Curious as to what would get louder. Figure the 2 SSD's would get louder but I have always wanted a BTL. I have tons of space in my man van to use, if I remember, roughly 40 ish cubes for a box. Subs would be powered off a Crescendo 3k. My current electrical system is a stock 90 amp alt, which will be replaced with a 270 amp alt. Have a kinetik HC1400 for the front and a HC2400 for the back, probably pick up another HC2400. So, roughly with that information, and lets say that the BTL and the SSD's are in boxes tuned to 32ish hz, in there ideal space how much louder would the 2 15"s be? Thanks, Luke.

So I'm new to this forum, but hoped I could get a little bit of help on an upcoming build I'll be helping a friend out with. He bought an 18" Fi BL which the seller claimed was "fully loaded". And he wants some help building a box for it. My 1st question is there a way to insure what options it was built with, like is there a serial number that can be looked up to see what it was originally bought with or a way you can tell what options it was built with? My next question is what is the optimal enclosure for these assuming it is fully loaded? He'll be running around 2500 watts (we'll set the gain to meet the power capabilities of the sub once we know what it truly is). H…

Sup guys Given i have limited space in my ride i was wondering which of these boxes would be loudest: ported 5.3cuft after displacements @ 31hz or sealed 6.88cuft after sub displacement I could tear out the backseats which would give me plenty room to make huge boxes (16cuft) but im not really eager to do so. But i will if there's no real option. Im also just wondering if this will be louder/lower than my previous setup : 2 12" RF Punch HX2's ~ 4.3cuft @ 33hz PS. This is on a 1000wrms

How much does it weight? Trying to design specifics of the box and I want to know if I should get screws or bolts. At what weight would bolts be a better choice?
