how much power should i run to 1 ssd12 with flatwound coil and bp power in a sealed box for daily use?

so i noticed a lot of you on here are very well educated when it comes to systems in cars (ie doing it yourself). where/how did ya'll learn all this stuff? was it just trial and error pretty much? reason i ask cause i really would like to learn and dont have enough time to go to a school for it. read two "eh" books but want tons more info and want to learn more.

Lookin into putting together another set up for the spring and summer. Last year two 12cvr on (dont laugh) power acoustik BAMF1800 bha. Question is how much would a 15 Q running off say..... hifonics BXI 1210 d embarrass the kickers? Oh port facing back in town car ( big @$$ clamshell trunk)

as title says looking for the newest update on BTLs. I ordered towards the end of back order but really hoping i can recieve my woofers in the next couple weeks. I have 4 audio competitions between August 28th and September 8th so an updates can help me. Wudup guys I need some help/advice once again about my box that I just picked up today..I made sure to include pictures so it'd be easier....well just look at it...a 15" BTL is going into it and i know it has the size. I punched the dimensions of the box into a box calculator and it's around 4cuft. But look at the ports..they look too small. Are they? I've never seen ports on a box for a BTL that look so small..look in the third picture. Also you can see that it's not an L shaped port...it just kind of ends..it's just straight as you can see in the third pic... Anyways it's supposed to be tuned to around 32hz but i can't figure out how i can make sure it is...any hel…

Well, i bought the BL 12" about month ago and right when i was building box for it, i traded vehicles. I thought when I got this expedition I was going to want something alot bigger than just 1 12". So, I got a box designed for 2 BL 15's and had decided thats what i was going to do. But, I already had the 12" and a sundown 1500d, so I went ahead and threw together a box, and my wife has been wanting to fiberglass, so she finished it saturday night and I got it put in last night. Now, after playing it all day, I am amazed how good this 1 12" sounds. I still have stock electrical for now, as I thought i would upgrade it when i got 2 15's. But now, I am pretty set on keeping…

need a recone for my mag viii, now do i send the motor in to Fi and get it sent back or can i prchase a recone and do it myself? and if i could do either or what would a round about price be for either, im in cali. for shipping

On the BTL/BL..etc.. The terminal posts are to accommodate size 12 gauge speaker wire, and if you want to run it from a 1ohm load in parallel. Then you would have to cut the amount of strands in half per wire, so basically you have 24AWG of each going into the terminals. Just seems small. Since my amp (2500RMS) has 0AWG inputs for power, and 4AWG for speaker wire hookups. Other subs with equal power handling I have seen have way larger terminals. Is there a reason to the small terminals? What do you guys do to ensure you able to put the most amount of power to the sub?

I have a Hifonics BXi 2006D, and i need to know if i should get a Q or a BL. The amp pushes about 1600watts. also what options? I would use for daily use, i listen to rap. I was thinkin on going with the BL but if i could get your opinion. Thank You Wes

ok i see all these people talkin about how they wire their stuff at .5 ohms. how does that work? i mean like on amps, the ohms are usually 4, 2, n 1. well im askin this because right now i got 1 dvc ssd 12" (bp n flatwound) with a hifonics amp powering 1200rms watts at 1ohm. i was thinking of getting another ssd, so that mean i would get an amp to power 2400rms watts. i looked at some of the wiring configurations on kicker n 12voltz website n it shows that i can only have them at 2 ohms or .5 ohms. at 2 ohms the amp i wanna get is kinda really outta the way money wise because at 1ohm it is a lot more than wat i need. so yea im just wondering how i could achieve the .5 ohm…

I have 2 18 inch BL's walled off.... is the motor structure strong enough to demagnetize credit cards and swipe cards? This has twice now and I am trying to figure out what the hell is screwing up my work swipe card and dept card.

WOOT! I think my X series are finally broken in and I have them tuned just right, I am now capable of 135+ db in IB with 300 "rated watts" off of my Fosgate Power 1000 at 4 ohms. I don't have a Term Lab available but I think I am doing pretty darn good on my little handheld SPL meter! Thanks Fi!

I have a pair of older (boob cone) RE XXX 15s quad 1.7 coils. I would like to reuse the motors on a pair of 18s and would like to know the cost. I have E-mailed FI twice about this, once on feb 27 and again a week ago on may 7th with no response so I am guessing they are not making it through for some reason.
