NOTICE: For the next week, there is going to be a delay on calls and emails due to Shawn going into major leg surgery as I type this. For the past 2 weeks he has been answering as many emails and calls as he can from his hospital bed. Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

I want a sub that can be wired for 1ohm I ordered dual 1ohm 15 q with bp did i mess up?

Well, i bought the BL 12" about month ago and right when i was building box for it, i traded vehicles. I thought when I got this expedition I was going to want something alot bigger than just 1 12". So, I got a box designed for 2 BL 15's and had decided thats what i was going to do. But, I already had the 12" and a sundown 1500d, so I went ahead and threw together a box, and my wife has been wanting to fiberglass, so she finished it saturday night and I got it put in last night. Now, after playing it all day, I am amazed how good this 1 12" sounds. I still have stock electrical for now, as I thought i would upgrade it when i got 2 15's. But now, I am pretty set on keeping…

I recently bought a recone for my HCCA 15 and I think the leads are too short for me to use. Is it usual for the leads to only go past the spider by 1"? Let me know what I can do about this. I have included a couple pics so you can see what I am talking about. Thanks!

how come the shipping is so high for stickers?

So me and my buddies decided to see which car was louder. I had a 15" SSD and he had 2 type r 12" subs. I for sure thought he would be louder barley but he wasnt. I was suprised !

So I checked last night UPS said Shipped, FI said shipped and its schedualed for next wed. I am very happy. But now Im starting my box build And I think Iv changed things a little.. I was running 6 cubes Net Volume. That was perfect for me as it just maxed out my the dimensions I could use...However, I think that in reality after displacements ill be down around 5 cubes... Is that enough? Or should I bump the box up to 7 net cubes? Any advice? Thanks

about how many dbs can you get going from 1 sub with say 500 watts to 2 subs with 1000 watts thanks

Hi, im jay, i was wondering about the SSD15, I noticed it is 800W RMS if i wired it @ dual 2 ohm to make it 4, AND put it on a [XLS crown802] which would give it 800W@4ohm perchannel, and 2100@4 bridged, Do you think it could power it? and if so how about 2 of em from the bridged? thank you and please respond respnd back if possible! Also what would i need to tune it to to listen to NUTTIN but low, around 28-32herts? thx! -jay

I know the SQ of the Fi Q 12" is good. but will it still bump good in a 2^3 foot box off of 1200 rms???

Hey Scott, or anyone who can answer the question. I'm interested in retrofitting my 12" Q with the compression plug. How much power can I safely send it after the fit? It's doing with with ~1200w right now. Do I need an RA number or anything to send it back? Also, what would the turnaround time be from date of arrival? I understand you guys are still trying to get things back on track.

It's been bout a week now I haven heard anything bout my subs and recone when are they going to be shipped

recently added a new car to the family and i am looking a new install. i am currently running a 15" aa ava. off of a hifonics bx1000. i have been very happy with both of my products from aa, and seeing as how you guys are going to be responsible for their new lineup you would be the best source of information. long story short, i am looking for a sub or subs that come the closest to the sound capabilities of the ava. be it from the fi lineup or the aa lineup it really doesnt matter. the subs will be going in the gf's 05 grand am. she likes the "low rumbly bass" but also wants it "kinda loud." have a gross of 5 cuft to work with and say no more than 1500 watts for power. h…

Got my 12" Q in today. As I was admiring its' beauty, I noticed that it had 3 red terminals and 1 black. Shouldn't there be 2 Black (-) and 2 Red (+)? May be a dumb question, but this should have no affect on playability should it?

i'm looking in to get getting 4 fi ssd 12's. i was wondering how much power i should put to them? is 4000 watts good enough?

This is a question I was curious about... I know there are recones for the btl. The question I have, is do they come as a kit (including glue, shims, etc.)? If not, what glue do you guys recommend for gluing the surround, and dustcap? Also, is there some type of special gap tool, or shim that you recommend for correctly centering the vc in the gap? thanks
