Like the title says, one of the magnets on my 12" Fi Q split in half. Don't know how, but I noticed the woofer was making strange noises a week or so ago, and took it out to investigate. I heard that this wasn't exactly a unique case, as other Fi products seem to have split magnets as well, possibly UPS is dropping them? At any rate, who do I contact for help? I have emailed Fi with no response. Is there anyone on the forum that could help speed this up? The sub is still covered under warranty, if this issue is covered under warranty...

So i'm in the middle of building my box, i used torres tuning calculator along with sketchup to design the box, i'm 98% done with it and realized that my Hz may change due to the fact i'm using a center divider. currently my specs are, 2 12in Fi BL's 3/4in MDF Outside Measurements Height-15 Width-34 Depth-20 Center Divider- 18.5 x 13.5 Inner Port Dimensions Height-13.5 Width-2.5 Length-17.75 Those specs give 32Hz overall "if" i use them in Torres Tuning Calculator, now im a little upset cause i think im gonna be starting from scratch again being i added the center divider, if i split the width in half to make up for the center divider i get stuck with 51Hz If …

Hi, I sent this to the sales email address before I knew about this forum. The sticky says to post questions here, so here it is. I'm thinking about buying a dual 2ohm Q12 w/ bp power option. I live in las vegas. Would it be possible to pick up the speaker and save on shipping? I'm also interested in seeing where they are made if it's possible. Also will I have to pay sales tax? So if the pickup is possible, what would the total be and how can I pay for it? I'm planning to run it off of one of these amps: http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/USAmps_DE-1000/ in a sealed box roughly 1.3 cu ft. I'll be using it for music, no competition. I mostly listen to techno, and…

I hate to bring up a vs. thread, but this one seems reasonable. If you read my thread in the subwoofer section, you know my deal. Basically i want to upgrade from an avalanche and I think i have decided on either the Fi Q or BL. Both will be receiving 1200 watts and be put in a 3.5 @ 30hz enclosure. From my other thread, i learned that the Q will probably work better in my box, but the BL will be louder in the end. I will probably build a new box come summer time better suited to whichever sub i get and to my car (hatchback=sub up). Both subs are the same price...i won't be putting options on either...so i am pretty torn. I have researched and found people to say the Q …

Right now in my truck I have a ported enclosure with 2 12" Rockford P3's, 500 watts each. I am new, so to me this is really nice and loud....actually produces a decent amount of SPL, made my rearview mirror fall off a couple times. Anyway, do you think 2 12" or 15" Q's sealed can compete if not beat these. I know they will kill the P3's in SQ, but I dont wanna lose all my SPL. I keep reading these things throw out a nice amount even sealed. THANXXX

Hi! I sent you an email a couple of months ago, asking if you accept international credit cards and you answered that you do accept international credit card payments (via your website). The thing is when I checkout my order, the only country option in the invoice or billing address is "United States". How can I pay with my Visa? I'm from Venezuela but the package would be shipped to a warehouse in Miami, Florida (shipping or delivery address) and later they would send it to me (Venezuela). Thanks!!!!

Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

i went to the local car audio store and one of the employees told me that 15's are unable to play very many rock songs because they "simply cant hit those notes, its impossible" he said. was this guy just feeding me a ton of bs to sell me his product or did he know what he was talking about? ( he also has never heard of FI ) ive had my heart set on two fi bl 15's but after that i dont know if i should reconsider and get 2, maybe 3 12's or even like 4 10's? ( kind of exaggerating, but not completely ) ive got a ford explorer so i have the room to fit this amount of subs.

hey guys. I've got a 2000 firebird trans am that is in need of some extra bump. I currently have 1 Resonant Engineering SX 15" in a 5.5 cu ft box at 33hz in my Yukon and it sounds amazing on music and tones. I'm wanting to do the 2 10" stealth enclosures that fit into the rear pockets of the firebird. Here's what I mean... http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm I was wondering about the SSD 10's. Do you think they would be nice for this enclosure? I know the minimum sealed enclosure is actually 0.6 cu ft. With displacenemt, I'm assuming the final volume of the box will be around 0.4-0.5 cu ft. Is this too small for this driver? What other 10" woofer would you recommen…

Currently im running a 12" Q ported (2cu@32hz) off a saz-1500d. Im looking at trying to get more output but am limited on space. Im looking at the option of doing 2 SSD 12's sealed with 800wrms going to each. How would output compare to the Q ported? I have about 3 cubic ft to work with in a sealed box. I could also possibly do 2 10" SSDs ported but only in 2-2.5 cubes. Any recommendations?
