right now i have a loaded 15" BTL (dual 2) and am going to be getting a second one soon. as of now i have a ma audio hk4000d on the BTL. im looking to get either one or two amps to use for the BTLs. im looking for something that will give me around 3500-4000 watts per sub, but not cost an arm and a leg. what do you guys suggest?

are the Fi guys gonna come out with some spec sheets on some optimized boxes for the Fi line up of subs?? or have they not found that perfect box dimensions that gives the best performance out of each of the subs??

i went to the local car audio store and one of the employees told me that 15's are unable to play very many rock songs because they "simply cant hit those notes, its impossible" he said. was this guy just feeding me a ton of bs to sell me his product or did he know what he was talking about? ( he also has never heard of FI ) ive had my heart set on two fi bl 15's but after that i dont know if i should reconsider and get 2, maybe 3 12's or even like 4 10's? ( kind of exaggerating, but not completely ) ive got a ford explorer so i have the room to fit this amount of subs.

Ok everyone, just finished everything up, the X series are up and we are doing free BP cooling upgrade on them. We are doing free cooling, p chamfer, hyper pole and voice coil upgrades(flatwind/high xmax) on all our sub purchases as well as free shipping to the cont. US. I ordered my BTL last sunday and I know it's a busy time with finals and all coming up... does anyone know an idea of how long of a wait it is to get a sub to you? Just wondering...

Like the title says, one of the magnets on my 12" Fi Q split in half. Don't know how, but I noticed the woofer was making strange noises a week or so ago, and took it out to investigate. I heard that this wasn't exactly a unique case, as other Fi products seem to have split magnets as well, possibly UPS is dropping them? At any rate, who do I contact for help? I have emailed Fi with no response. Is there anyone on the forum that could help speed this up? The sub is still covered under warranty, if this issue is covered under warranty...

I had an accident with my sx15 with dual 2's. And want a price quote for a recone. I'm not sure why but in my particular install the sx15 was .5 dbs louder than a FI Audio Bl15 with p chamfer, dual 2's, daily, and custom coils. So what I am wondering is if I buy the recones from you all can I be sure that it will still be as loud as the original SX or louder? If so how much for the recones and how long will it take to receive them? Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok I have a friend gettin two alpine mrp2000 amps each pushin about 2248wrms at 2 ohms and hes running that to two alpine Type X 12s.. Now me being me I just wanna 'keep up and surpass' him and Im gettin 2 BTL 12s with a Sundown 3500D but I dont have either yet.. Will my car still be louder? p.s. I plan to have 2.5^3 for each sub and tuned to about 35hz

ok i have 2 18" BL subs dual 1ohm flatwind cooling and pchamfer these are the first model bl's. they are going to see a sundown 1500 to each sub what is the smallest box ported that will be ok for these subs. i want to keep the box under the rear deck in a 1995 fleetwood. between the hinges, theres trunk rods in the way. i'll invert the subs to get a lil more airspace if i need to. just need to know whats the smallest the box can be and sound good

Hey I ordered a D1 SSD 10 awhile ago, with the BP Power option and the copper coil. My tracking number says that my sub came today at 2:11pm and was delivered to my front door, but my mother was here all day and says she never had somebody come to the door. I came home at 3:20 and there was no package outside then. It is now 6:11pm and there is still no sub here. Is this typical with tracking orders from Fi? I contacted UPS and they said to contact Fi. Please get back to me ASAP as I am really worried I will not get my sub. I emailed Scott a little bit ago and just put this up to see if any1 could give me any other info. Thanks, Ross

Well to begin, I will report on my expierence with FI customer service! I ordered through the site and paid with my paypal account, the site was very easy to understand and use! Once I ordered, I began harrassing Scott with all kinds of annoying questions. Scott answered everything I asked as best as he could, without complaint! I even sweated Ndmstang a few times, he too was helpfull and understanding. So all in all customer service was top notch. Tracking was so so, UPS sucks in my honest opinion, that has nothing to do with FI at all though! They rarely updated the info for tracking, it always looked as if my sub was just sitting around. Hi Guys, Ive been using my BL's for ...i dont know 3 years or so. Awesome drivers. BUT I pulled them out the other day and the motor is showing signs of rust. Not nearly as bad as the terminals on the shitty Samsung TV after a year, but its there. Now I live at the sea and things do go bad around here. How much would it cost to rust proof these things. Maybe can add a few extra options such as Powder-coating and using Stainless where possible. I could post pics, but the fact is they still play just fine and its not nearly as bad as this post might make it sound; just sad to see rust on my babies.

ok i ordered a 18" BTL and was going to hook it up to the new hifonics brutus brz2400. Is that too much for the sub? but i also got the sub at a 1ohm so i can hook the amp to 2 ohms. Also will i be able to put that 18" in the back of my 2001 impala?

I have an 18'' Q and I saw that you recomend 6 to 10 cubic feet. What would be the difference in having a box that was 6 cubic feet rather than 10 cubic feet. I was going to tune to 28hz and I listen to country, rock, and rap about all equally. Will the smaller box change on how the sub performs and sounds? Also what's a good idea on how much port area to have. I always get told different answers. Some say 10 inches per cubic foot than some say 12, 15, 16, etc. Thanks

ok first I did see the other post related but said not to reply anymore. anyways I bought my 2 fi bl 15's on oct 12th and only recently recieved an email saying they are awaiting fufillment, does this mean the order did not get started until i got the email about the order? I know they are busy just trying to get an estimated time frame to work with here

Well, my homie wants to run a good amount of 12"s, or possibly 15" ssd's But he wants to do a blowthrough from the bed of the truck to the cab, what would be the best way to do it? He's thinking about doing it in sections, and i think that the way that might be best is to do 4 15"s SSDs and a SAZ 4500 and then do 4 more and another SAZ 4500 but, would you have to do a band pass pretty much??

What cleaner could I use to clean the surround on the subs?

Whats a better amp the (this is for one Fi BTL 15) Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D Or HIFONICS BXi-2006D (BXi2006D) MONO 2000W BRUTUS Series AMPLIFIER I was thinking the Sundown but i heard other people saying Hifonics.

Ok I got my X's in and will be installing them within the next couple of days. I will be ruinning them off of the sub channel of a 25 to Life Power 1000 rated for 300w Rms at 4ohm and 800w Rms at 1ohm. Right now I have a pair of ED 12o.14's running at 2 ohm (rating of the amp is 600w Rms at 2 ohm) With the ED's the subs seem to be a little over powering and I was wondering how they will do with the 300w for the pair. I know that most of you will say "try it and find out" but I want to know if anyone else has already tried it. Thanks all! David
