i just found the IB series from Fi today. i was looking around and found a site called bladeice.com. they carry AA and Fi subs. i checked out the IB series and wondered why the Fi site didn't have them. was this just news to me?

I was reading the sticky "how long will it take to get my sub", and it was saying something about an e-mail i should have recieved from UPS. I ordered my Bl on sunday, so should i have recieved something? I did get an email from Fi giving me my invoice number in a confirmation email though.??

hey guys i know this is a spl sub, but alot of you folks do use them for daily drivers..how do you like them? i really want to try a few but im worried that they wont sound right..and by that i mean im comming listening to w7's for 6 years..and i know after that many years on 1 sub your ears get accustomed to them..so are the btl's something i listen to all kinds of music like rap and rock daily and still enjoy or am i barking up the wrong tree and should maybe look at bl's? also i have a side question, say you have a 12'' spl sub and a 18'' of the same spl sub, would the 12 sound better and be tighter cause its smaller or no truth to that?

I have a 12 inch 04 model re xxx and need a recone for it. i want to make it into a 15 inch sub though. i will need a basket for it to. the amp being used does 1600 watts at 4 ohms. how much will a recone and basket cost? thanks

I got a pair of jl audio 8w6's and i need them refoamed. can yall do this for me if the price is right? or send me some high roll 8" foam? they are the oldschool version ones and jl audio doesnt wanna f*ck with them. i also got a pair of 12" ssd's i need to send to scott for repair. i called scott about a week ago but no answer. thanks for any and all help "

I am pretty sure I will be running 4 Q's in my new setup. My big question....what are some good amps to match them up to. I was thinking about 2 amps allowing for 2 subs on one amp so if one amp died on me it would be cheaper to get a new amp. Hey guys. I was playin around this morning and I came across a post on one of the forums (may be the speaker section) that said the T2 and the BL are about equivalent to one another, other than the T2 costing twice as much. Is this true? I haven't really had time to dig up the specs on the T2, but a little info would be cool. I have some friends who, for some unknown reason, think the T2 is a great woofer.

ok here's what i got...99 mustang rear seat delete wanna do a 15 bl d1 sub up port back in a 4.36cf box@33hz(that's internal)...i was told on here that fi's specs for cf are after speaker displacement...internal dimesions for box are 15x15x33.5...as for the port i got 4x15x25.66....does this sound cool...btw that 4.36cf is before port/bracing deplacement..as i stated earlier i was told that the fi specs for speaker displacement are already included....if someone can confirm that this is all good i would greatly appreciate it

Im am trying to get my box for a 18" Bl made before i order so that when it comes in i can just drop it in and go. Here are the specs and a couple of scketches. I also have a coulple of questions since i dont have the sub in yet. My main concern is i am wondering if the subwoofer is going to fit between the edge of the box and the L port. The distance between the two is 19.5 " is this enough room to fit the sub and the outside of the basket where the screws are. Also what do u think about the dimensions and the design. well thanks to my homies at ups for dropping my 05 xxx. 15. the bottom mag slug has been split all the way around and then shifted over to lock up the vc. sobasically the sub is fudgeed. well i was wondering if you guys can replace the slug, but also take the top assy off in one piece.(the xxx dc is almost priceless)

OK so the other day I was showing off my BTL to some friends. Gain is set correctly with dmm, and about 10 seconds in to a song the sub makes a weird noise and then freezes. Well I am thinking I fried the sub and Ill need a recone kit, which made me upset to start with because I only gave it like 2400wrms. Well I take the sub out of the box and what do i find? Not a burnt coil. But a broken magnet on the motor. The magnet is litterally cracked and pushed in and caused the coil to scratch and get stuck. What would cause this? And how can I get it fixed. This sub was never abused.

will running a universal sub with a non-universal sub creat any problems? will there be any difference in sound or will i notice a difference in the 2?
