How much is a 15" dual 1 Fully loaded BTL Recone + basket and gasket shipped to 33027

im not sure if my sub is in need for a recone or not, but there was smoke and the dreaded smell. The weird thing is the coils measure at 1.7 ohms on one side and 1.5 on the other. I looked at em and they seem to be a lil burnt. The sub still plays but its not as loud as it was and theres distortion on certain low and higher-mid notes. Iv not yet gotten to finish upgrading my electrical, been waiting on batteries, then gotta order a ho alt. Big 3 is done tho. amp is a Powerbass Xa-3000D "internals still look new" Knu 1/0 wiring gains were set all the way down most of the time, then at 1/4 and last at half. Ok guys, vehicle to be worked on is a 1996 full size conversion van. Huge vehicle. I'm trying to decide what woofers and how many I should run in this. Power will be along the lines of something like 4 IA 40.1s. I was thinking 6 BTL 18s. Thoughts, ideas, experience, lay it on me please.

so allways hear people talk about how there dust cap is warm is it normal blah blah... and then say some or one is warmer then tha other......... but i never see people ask how hot is too hot!>? i know it will be warm just knowing how a sub works i know it will be warm... mine arnt too hot.. i dont think they are!

hey guys im running to sundown saz1500ds strapped at 2 ohms, and 2 btl 18s dual 2s in my s10. i recently reconed. when i slam on them for a few minutes, one woofer gets hot real quick, the other gets warm. they both slap just as hard, but i cant figure out why the one woofer is getting hotter. i checked the tinsels where i soldered it looks good, same as the other one. all the connections are good as well, im using all 8awg wire. i set the gains using a multimeter and there gettin the right voltage the calculator gave me (3000w at 2 ohms - 77.5v) . i also swiched the woofers so the one getting hot was on the other side, and its still only that woofer getting obnormally wa…

hi all i was bored, so i thought i'd post a coupla pics of my beloved fi's and my german made esx's that i raved about. they both handle around the same wattage but the fi's are'nt as choosey which box they slam in. some vids later.

I have question for you guys. I currently own a RE Audio XXX12 '06 and have previously owned an Adire Brahma 12 mk2 and I am looking for something else. I stumbled on the Fi Audio Q12. My main use for this driver would be SQ(L). And I have had the xxx and the brahma in custom made ported and closed boxes. Is there anyone who has heared the Q12 and xxx/brahma and can tell me what I could expect?

I heard about this and was curious as to have it explained and confirmed if possible

Hi Fi...I have (2)Audiomobile Mass series motor structures. no frames or top parts, just the magnet strutures. They are(were) 3inch underhung dvcs. Can they be rebuilt at all? They don't have to be dvcs. I would actually prefer single 4 or single 3. They need whole new top assemblies and softparts. Can this be done...ballpark cost for 15's. Thanks for any info.

Hey guys, could one of you update me on the situation with my claim with usps you filed for me? Its been I do not know how long exactly but I figured Scott would have heard something back from usps by now. I know they take forever, I went down to the office I shipped the motor from and asked how long claims take, the woman just handed me the paper to file a claim . Anyway, if you guys can't remember I am: Sean Burnette and I mailed a Konaki motor to Fi through ups which was lost, Scott filed the claim for me and said he would keep me informed or let me know whats up with it. So yesterday I finally got around to making a new box for my 12'' Fi Q D2. The box came out great, but when I went to put the Q in I noticed one of the tinsel leads was broken at the end where it connects to the terminal. I'm not sure how or when it happened. The gain on my amp (US amps XT4000D, 1500rms @ 1 ohm) is set about half way up and the bass boost is off. My question is what can I do about this? repair it? send it back for repair? Any help is appreciated, thanks

alright so i just got my recone in for another one of my 18 btls i reconed them before but this time its diferent as you can see in the pic below it has 4 leads if thats what they are coming out the spiders on each side total of eight on each side how would i solder this on im use too just two on each side

i need help on desiding between a 15 inch fi bl or the si mag d2 its going in te trunk of a mustang 01 in a custom ported box and a HIFONICS BXi1206D amp so i never heard nether of theese subs so i need som opinons on which you think you be better for the amp and car and of corse witch sounds the best

How much to change a fully loaded BTL 18 to a 12 or 15? I need a much smaller box for my new truck.

Well i sent in my money order for a Q10 a week ago friday stating that i would like dual 2ohm coils, well, things changed a little so i e-mailed Fi and asked if my order could be changed to dual 1ohm coils... No answer and i sent the e-mail sunday morning. I don't really want to send another e-mail because i know they are really busy, but... i need to know if my order was changed or not... Any ideas?
