I'm currently in the market for some new subs. As of right now I am running 4 Kicker L7 10's Power is from 2 Kicker KX1200.1's strapped making around 2.8k Box is 6ft^3 sealed. Ideally what I would like to do is drop down to a pair of 12's or an awsome single 15" I'm looking for a great LSQ driver, I want to be able to pound out the bass, but still be able to enjoy the sublties of the music. A friend of mine suggested looking into Fi, so here I am. Current drivers I am looking at RE MX12, DD3512, DD9515 etc. Vehicle - 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV I am doing consistant 143-144dB I'l like to get closer to the 150dB range What do you guys suggest I do? so allways hear people talk about how there dust cap is warm is it normal blah blah... and then say some or one is warmer then tha other......... but i never see people ask how hot is too hot!>? i know it will be warm just knowing how a sub works i know it will be warm... mine arnt too hot.. i dont think they are!

Ok guys, vehicle to be worked on is a 1996 full size conversion van. Huge vehicle. I'm trying to decide what woofers and how many I should run in this. Power will be along the lines of something like 4 IA 40.1s. I was thinking 6 BTL 18s. Thoughts, ideas, experience, lay it on me please.

Well i sent in my money order for a Q10 a week ago friday stating that i would like dual 2ohm coils, well, things changed a little so i e-mailed Fi and asked if my order could be changed to dual 1ohm coils... No answer and i sent the e-mail sunday morning. I don't really want to send another e-mail because i know they are really busy, but... i need to know if my order was changed or not... Any ideas? hi all i was bored, so i thought i'd post a coupla pics of my beloved fi's and my german made esx's that i raved about. they both handle around the same wattage but the fi's are'nt as choosey which box they slam in. some vids later.

alright so i just got my recone in for another one of my 18 btls i reconed them before but this time its diferent as you can see in the pic below it has 4 leads if thats what they are coming out the spiders on each side total of eight on each side how would i solder this on im use too just two on each side

I just wanted to find out if you guys could do a recone for the old Shocker sig 18". I believe they were 3" coils. I have one laying around as a door stop and figured I would see. Thanks for any help.

hi Scott, I need to know if you are now shipping BTLs with new tinsel. i need help on desiding between a 15 inch fi bl or the si mag d2 its going in te trunk of a mustang 01 in a custom ported box and a HIFONICS BXi1206D amp so i never heard nether of theese subs so i need som opinons on which you think you be better for the amp and car and of corse witch sounds the best

How much to change a fully loaded BTL 18 to a 12 or 15? I need a much smaller box for my new truck.

i have a fosgate t8002 amp right now but i plan on upgrading somewhere down the line...i want to run a one sub setup....i really want a 18 but am i underpowering it for now up until i upgrade my wattage?....will a 15 sound better and louder since im not pumpin that much power into it?....also...what do i buy a dual 1 sub or dual 2 sub...also what series is best for me....the q or bl or ssd.....it is going in a 85 cutlass...i listen mostly to rap...thanks

today i went to my local car audio shop to see how much theywould charge me to build me a simple port box for my fi bl 18. i told them i want 7cu .ft box tune to 32 hz and sub up and port to the back. they told me i couldnt fit a box that big in a 1991 ford explorer. they told me i should move my box closer to the front and then they showed me pics of a fake wall they did. it looks good but should i pay $400 for a wall but the box and port is all done with the wall?
