I just installed my BL12 and it is powered by a RF T1500-1bd. Could I get some input on the proper amount of power or suggestions on break-in period? Thanks

I just wanted to give props to FI. I have been reading lots of various magazines involving cars and have never really seen FI anywhere. Yesterday I picked up the new copy of Car Audio Magazine and long behold, one of the champion SPL competitors was in it showin his 4 18" BTLs which he hit over 180dbs with. Nice to see them in a magazine and getting some attention. I am sure this will cause a small flood of people who never heard of ya to become more interested. CONGRATS!!

OK, these weren't your average recone, they had to machine adapter plates to get the 12 spoke baskets even compatible with my motors because the bolt patterns aren't the same... they had to tap them so the 12 spoke basket could be screwed into the spacer/adapter and drill through holes so I could bolt the adapter to the top plate of my motors.... Since I have seen some impatient people posting and complaining with no real reasons, I thought I would post up my purchase experience. Thursday the 12th of July: Called and spoke with Scott. We have spoken a few times and done business in the past. I let him know that I would be placing an order the next day, and inquired as to if they had any in stock. I know this is WAY out the question, but I would love to see some of Scott's prototypes. I bet their has been some cool looking stuff that just didn't make it to production. Maybe we can get a little peak of some? I could totally understand if its not possible. But maybe some older stuff that doesn't really matter anymore.

I have just acquired a PSI platform 3 woofer and I would like to get it reconed with Fi soft parts. I cut out the coil and it kinda looks like a BTL triple stack coil would fit. Would you guys be able to hand make a drop in kit for this woofer for me? I will post pics of the coil and motor if you need.

Just purchased a 15" D2 Q Can't wait!

okay so this maybe a dumb question...but not about to through 260 out the window. just got my Q 12 and the outer layer for the screw holes consists of the surrounding rubber with holes through it, a botttom layer with hole, and a top layer with-OUT hole. i assume i just punch through the top layer with the screw? I know i read this in here somewhere else in someones post but i cant recall what it said and i can't locate it now. thanks in advance kind of eager to begin my upgrade from a flame 1206t to this beast. yeah i bought audiobahn...i was young and dumb.

i was cleaning my truck and my 4 way fell off my folded up 3rd row seat and put a 1inch hole in my dust cap. does anyone know if fi will sell me a new one? the sub is a 18" ssd ? i just emailed them also

First off I should say this is a great site, especially having the manufacture forums. Q 12" next an Alpine Type-E 12" HA I'm 21, never done much wood/mdf work, and this is the first time I've ever attempted building an enclosure. Hi everyone ... I am confuse to decide which better and suit to my system. I used HAT Legatia 3way, and now consider to used Fi or AA product. Which better between Fi Q 12" vs AA Havoc 12" with sealed box for SQ competition ??? I will drive it by Genesis dual mono extreem bridge @ 4ohm. Is it true to compared Q with Havoc ??? or Q should compared with Chaos series or another ??? is Havoc for SQ like Q series ??? Can Havoc play SPL also ??? I also want to build fun SPL car here. Alright so I have had my system in for a couple of months now and I have finally had some time to really get to know it. Now that the hype of having a new system is over I am starting to listen to my normal music and not just rap, so thats stuff like 311, Eve 6, and Modest Mouse. And i have to say is that, it sounds amazing for being a 15. It keeps up with the fastest drum kicks and its clean and crisp. I could not be happier with the SQ of this sub. Before i had 2 10's and those were amazing for rock but this is just as good if not better, I got the benefit of being much louder and having lower notes but did not give up any accuracy! I have a pair of Q 15's that I have had since november 2006. I had them in my old 89' Range Rover in 8Cubes tuned to 30Hz. I loved them like that. Well I just got a 1995 Integra hatchback. I have them sealed 5.1cubes after disp. and WOW. I thought they were a nice driver before but being sealed they are on a whole other level. I just cant describe it. The bass is so accurate, smooth, and beautiful sounding. It just sounds 'solid'. They play lower and also hit the higher frequencies better. They play so much flatter (not peaky). I've decided on 2x12 Q's and I'm curious to if a Brutus 2000W mono can power two? I've always been curious how exactly subs share power to one amp? Do they see the same power or is it cut in half? or what? I can get the Brutus cheap at work so I don't know If I should run one 2000W or 2x1200W amps. Hi all, I had a few questions while waiting on the updates in the line. I currently have an audioque 1200d for power and plan on running one sub in the trunk of my 2010 mustang. I'm having the box custom built rear firing. I listen to all music. What would the output and sound differences be between one 10 in 1.25 ft^3 @ 32 hz and one 12 in 1.25 sealed, either ssd or q? I was wondering if the SSD with BP option would handle 1200 watts, or would it be safer to stick with a Q? Basically, I can go biggest on the box for ported around 2 cubic feet at 32 hz for one 12, and any size smaller. One 10 ported, or one 12 sealed, Q or SSD? For my application what do you think …

I have a Q 12 in a sealed box powered by a Cadence TXA-1000d. I'll listen to some bass heavy music for a bit, then when I get wherever I'm going I will check the sub on occasion and the cone is pretty dam hot! what would be causing this?

Would like to buy a Q motor and a 15" basket so I could throw the extra soft parts I have in it. I am using Fi soft parts for the recone. Hello all, Just wanted to take the time to thank everyone here for indirectly helping me choose my sub. I say indirectly because I haven't posted any questions, rather just took some time to look at everyone elses threads to find a listening style similar to mine. I ordered a 12" Q dual2 last wednesday and I got an e-mail saying that it will ship today.....can't wait! I already built a sealed box for it at around 1.3 cu.ft. I'll see how that sounds at first but have plenty of MDF left over if the need for a new enclosure arises. I will be powering it with a RF T5001bd.
