I'm looking at getting a 18" q or bl and im planning on putting a Kicker 08ZX1000.1 to it and getting a custom box built for it and will listen daily. I listen mainly to rap, i just love the loud bass you can really feel which one will give me that? I have a 2001 CRV so its an open trunk. And does anyone know the new line fi is coming out with?

Hello! Im thinking bout having a Q or a Bl 15! I want to use it daily with 1250watts@1ohm! Which one will be louder (im not that sq man lol ) Im listening to dirty south hip hop(because off the nice low frequencies) Also i want to know how many liters the enclosures will have (as well for the 18Q or Bl). Would it be better to get a fully loaded bl or q? Sundown says the new 1200 is capable of closer to 1400 given you have the electrical to back it up.

I have a Hifonics BXi 2006D, and i need to know if i should get a Q or a BL. The amp pushes about 1600watts. also what options? I would use for daily use, i listen to rap. I was thinkin on going with the BL but if i could get your opinion. Thank You Wes

i am going to be running a memphis amp 1100 @ 1 ohm . its going in a downfire center console in a reg cab silverado . im thinking a ported 10 or a sealed 12. i have around 2 cubes to work with . im looking for a good overall response. what do you think?

I have a Q series 12 that needs reconed and I new to doing this is there a way to send it in to fi or is this something I have to do at home?

Alright, so we're looking at a street beater type car here. I'll probably be running the 1500D @ 1/2 an ohm, which puts me somewhere over 1500 watts. Now as I understand it, the SSD tends to accentuate the low-lows, while not being as loud on the higher lows. How does the Q stack up to that? I'm looking for a sub that will get loud, and get low. Then, I'm not adverse to a sealed box, but I was wondering how much it will reduce my SPL. As mentioned above, I like to get loud. Sealed looks particularly enticing because of the smaller box needed.

Just bought a second hand 18inch single slug motor btl. I would like to know if you can Visual Check the Specification on BTL series. This is question is for newbie like me. all i can say there is an allen bolt found in the bottom of the motor. also flashlight thru the peek holes seems i only viewed the top vc former and a round thingy blocking the view of vc windings. i recently sold my 2 Fi Q's (12") and was very happy with that product. i am looking to step up to the BL's now and i am just curious what everyone thinks. i love sound quality but i love that head cracking brutal punch u in the chest type output more. the Q's had great output but i understand that they are more of a sound quality woofer. does anyone think that the BL's ( 2 - 12") would slap that much harder that i would notice? they will be powered by a saz-2000d. also they will be in the same exact set-up as the Q's were. thanks for looking and i appreciate any input.

I want to purchase 2 of the Q18's for an attic mounted IB line array in my home theater. I am a member of the "IB cult" and AVS forums and I understand you guys can do some custom mods on these to gear them specifically for IB installations. I will be running them on a Behringer EP2500 amp and using the DSP1124p feeback destroyer pro. For 2 of these in an array config, what ohm rating, voice coil type, and wiring config would you guys suggest I use? Alright, first post here, but I'm not a newb. Been building boxes and installing for 9 years or so. I just ripped my wall out of my 01 Implala (4 RE SX 15s, Mojo 4000d, 5 batts...) and I picked up a pair of Q18s from a friend of mine. The following equipment is being used: Alpine 9886, ID Chameleon Components, old school Orion 2500d (the all silver one) and an old Orion 300.2, alt is an Iraggi 200amp. After I ripped my wall out I ran just the 300.2 on my components and ended up with some horrible alternator whine. I've never had whine before. got a little somethin in the mail today.......im missing my idler pullys but im sure they will come soon or i will scour sacramento tomorrow morning for them!! these are 3 350+ amp alts and one 240........the 240 is to help my "at idle" while the others are for when im rollin Powder Coated black with texture......machined off in certain spots..... Bracket and belt....... ill post more pics after i install.........hopfully i can find some idler pullys so i dont have to wait on them to be shipped! oh did i mention that is almost 1300 amps worth of alt there stay tuned

ok i just got my fi btl n3 today been waiting a month for them they look like something from outer space i was inspecting them and i see some metal shavings around the magnets dont look 100 percent centered and the glue that was applied some parts are black then turn white is this normal quality control?

Ok guys, I was browsing steve meades forum and came across someones system on the system of the month, february 2008. It has 2 18's in a blowthrough, but in order to fit the 2 18's they are slightly angled as well as the port (or at least the port looks like it), does this have any effect on the output or cause some other negative effect? Heys guys im new to the forum and need some input. I'm ready to purchase a Fi sub and i really wanna try the BL 18". I currently have a Kicker ZX1000 rated at 1267 rms. I was thinking i would be underpowering the sub or maybe it'll sound good. You guys gotta any suggestions or opinions please reply. Oh and its goin in a caprice trunk if that matters. Thanks.

i'am planing on buying a FI Q. i' am just worried because i will ship it to another country and i might have trouble with it if it has a defect or when it gets broken. does FI get this kind of problem? wherein the costumer returns the subs because it has a defect? or you just get this once in a while?

I'm thinking of getting one Q12 and powering it with a Kicker ZX1000.1 at 2ohms. I listen to mostly rap music and I'm looking for a sub that will give me accurate bass and can also give me great high and low bass. I hear the Q is great on low bass but I was wondering how is it at high bass? I know that getting a set of 10's would probably give me better high bass, but I'm looking for something that will give me a good mix of both.
