Ok Ive been designing my new system Ill be putting in this summer and for the amp I have chosen the Rockford Power T10001Bd to power a Fi Audio BL 15 and build a nice large ported box tuned low for it, but then I got bored and looked at the SSD 15 and saw it required less cu. ft. for a ported box and I could fit 2 of those 15s ported but would have to build seperate boxes for them because my trunk aint that big too put one big box in at once and I dont want to partialy build the box and have to finish it in the trunk, but another thing I dont know the final load of 2 Dual 1ohm subs are and if it did have a 1ohm load shuldnt the T10001Bd amp have enough power for both of t…

  3. hey everyone i'm looking to make an upgrade. i currently have 3 12's a crunch gp3000d pro amp which is suppose to be underrated at 3kw rms at 1ohm. i also have 0 gauge wiring a 300 amp alt fatmat throughout the entire vehicles i think two layers in some place but atleast one layer throughout the entire vehicle. i have an optima red top under the hood and a kinetic hc1800 in the back for the subs. i have a 1997 ford explorer sport (2 door) and i am interested in either 2 fi btl's 15's or 1 fi btl 18 n2 model i have enough space to run the 2 15's or the single 18 with no problem now my question is which would give more output. i love lows so im looking to have the box tune…

I'm a competitor in MECA at my state finals I managed to reach 154.4 at the headrest using two 15 in btls and using 2 American bass 500.1s. I can only give high praises to the newer style BTLs It took a little tweeking to get them there but with any new setup it takes work to get it loud. After about 75 burps I have on the subs with about 7500 watts to the pair these subs are still like new no signs of wear

  7. We got my box finished up at 3 A.M. this morning. I didn't build it myself, but paid an installer who has did work for me before. The box is right at 8ft^3 and tuned to 33hz with 120^2 inches of port area. All i currently have is a Kenwood amp that puts out 900 watts to push the subs. THe subs have the copper coil option and I was defintely expecting them to be louder and lower than my previous 15" L7 ran off the same amp. Well, they exceeded my expectations! My installer rents out a shop from a car dealership. Once we got the box in my Blazer, i immeditately put it on Young Jeezy - Hypnotize to see just how low these suckers could go. AND THEY WENT ALL THE WAY! We had to…

Alright, while i sit here waiting for my order to arrive for (1) 18" BTL D2, i decide to browse craigslist.. I run into another 18" BTL D2 which looks to be in good condition.. $380.. now im really confused. lol. I haven't had the box built maybe i should just go with 2 instead of 1? The current amp i have is a sundown saz1500 .. which would be fine with 1 btl but i dont think its gonna cut it with 2 of them.. so my options IF i decide to buy this sub... buy another saz1500 and run them separately @ 1 ohm each... Strap the 2 1500's together and run them @ 2 ohms together.... I would love to sell my 1500 and buy a saz3500 but that's out of the budget right now. Doing this …

i just have one 1 18 btl and im hugely satisfied with it. it plays the lows so hard compared to the 2 12 l7s i had before. i think the btl isnt louder in the higher freq but the lows oh my god thats awesome! now i have the chance to sell my btl and im thinking of getting 2 18 Qs in a sealed 9 cft. box because im very impressed by the sq of the btl (although the box i have is crap, less than 5 cft after displacement). is there a comparable sub to the Q? like alpines type x? amp is a bxi 2610. the Qs would run at 1 ohm (2,6 kw rms).

Over the past year alone I have been through almost a half dozen systems in the constant quest to find a sub that was not only loud, but sounded decent doing so. I've owned Alpine, Kicker, and many other brands in between. I would only purchase one sub at a time in order to decide if it was worth buying more than one, and I never bought more than one. I had never owned an 18 inch woofer, and having owned 10s, 12s, and 15s, I wanted to try the next biggest step, especially since my 99 Yukon had the room to accomodate the system. After I had placed my order for an 18" dual 2ohm BTL with cooling, 3rdMagnet, and HiXmCoil, I began to beef up my electrical system in anticipatio…

So I went through the elaboration of the two and am still confused. I will be running a DD Z1 on 2 - 12" BTL's...... I will be using them for daily street beating, and competing on the weekends. I will not be changing anything around (besides port frequency).... Options that I have chosen thus far: 3rd Magnet HiXmCoil So, do I want the cooling or P chamfer??? in advance
