General Fi

Finally after a few weeks of telling myself to buy it, I just did. I'm already way too anxious for this sub. It's going to be quite different from my last sub stage which was 4RE8's in a 6th order bandpass. Im going to be running this one at 2ohms off of an md2d. Right now I'm looking at running it a ported box of 4cuft at ~28 hz. Any other sugggestions? -Justin

I have 2500 watts rms easily disposable at 1 ohm. I dont want anything bigger then 3cuft net for a box, 2 BL 10"s or 1 btl 12", whats the sq like? I have owned (2) 10w3v2s, 1 dd 3515, 4 dd 1508s,1 dd 9512, (1) 12w7, heard kicker didnt like it and heard other subs, I wana know what a bl and btl sound like Im temped to buy this setup. I know the btl 12 will handle 2500 watts but dunno about 10's and i heard the 10 btls are horrible for daily. Little more info this set up is.... trunk rear fire/ported in a jetta price not the problem I want LSQ... not farts not sq with no backing.... So comments?

I'm pretty stoked, I finally placed my order for my 15" Q dual 1 about five minutes ago, and I can't wait until it gets here. I've been hearing nothing but good things about Fi.

well i have a 18" btl dual 1 ohm fully loaded daily sub. i know this sub will rattle the hell out of my 86 Monte but how will it do with music sound quality. she will be in about 5-6 cubes at 32hz. and powered at 2300 rms. now would i be better of switching out my 2 of my 6.5's on the doors for a set of components and then the other to 6.5's for a mid bass. i also have 3.5's in the dash 4x10's in the rear deck and a set of 6.5's in the rear interior panel. so i would think with those speakers i could get a good sounding system and turn the bass down low. if my thinking is flawed sorry.

Looking to find out what kind of options i have, trying to find 4 RE SX motors and re cone them to 18's, looking to find out pricing and what recone options i have. herd that the MT flat wound coils is a good choice but no idea where to find any.

Right now I am planning on running 3 10" BL or Q's in a ported enclosure at about 3.2cuft or so after displacement and such, ran off a Sundown 3000. I am not entirely sure which to use, BL's or Q's and would like to know the major differences between the two in order to help my decision. Thanks

Well first of all let me say hello and its nice to be here second yes I am a distributor for steg but no I wont hawk my product unless asked for . Now to the issue at hand I am currently trying to get 2x12" fully loaded daily use bls with a power up (if possible) but iI know theat some of the guys are away competein unfortunatly my fabricator is coming in 2 weeks to finish of the car and buld the enclosure and I dont have my subs i have had a quote for the subs and the shipping but i can t seem to order them or do I just order them thru the website you see I live in australia and the postage is like 135 bucks each sub which is not that bad but will that be put on the bil…

well tampa finals was a good time !! first off congrats to Carlos....on the USA & world titals !! all the Team FI guys.. great job !!! team FI was in the house forsure..!! had the best time hanging with all the FI guys !! that was the best part almost.. meeting fellow FI team mates..... all gretat guys !! i almost didnt want the weekend to end..... loved hanging and shootin the chit with all you guys.. cant wait to do it again.. well.... Was tired driving home from finals, and about an hour or so away from home....swerved to avoid something that ran across the road (deer?), and rolled the focus at least 3-4 times. The winshield shattered and caved in, front half of the roof crunched, windows shattered, amps and batts were thrown from the trunk, and i guess scattered a good 20-30 feet from the car. I probably wouldnt be writing this if i had not had the wall built in the car, acted like a wooden roll cage....you'll see what I mean when/if i post pics. Well guys, thought you might want to see what I got in the car finally. After a LOT of hard work (totally dynamatted the car, custom mounted Utopia tweets in the front, etc etc) I got the subs in today and started hittin on em w/ the Fosgate T20001bd. Here's a quick pic after I got the subs in. The box is 2.25 cubic ft. per sub, tuned to 32Hz. It's not the Cadillac of Meade's, lol but it'll do for me. btw, props to Fi, Scott, Nick, everybody on the "team." I played the subs for about 15 minutes and I'm ready to go jam em tomorrow hehe.

i think that this question will mostly be aimed at Scott....i recently purchased a "damaged" brahma mark II 12"(i think, no idea which is which but i am tol the mark II) that wasn't damaged at all really...just had to fix a bad glue joint and it works perfect now... 30 bucks and a 2 dollar tube of adhesive isn't too bad, but for my real question i bought it with the intentions of re-coning it to an 18" Fi Brahma Hybrid of some sort.... i was wondering if it could be done...or has it been done? i was thinking a dual 2 ohm coil with at least 1100 watts power handling... i still want to retain good sound quality also...not sure if i would want to do it ported or sealed thou…

had some little problem, scott and paul got everything fixed so fast it was unreal. you could not asked for a better company and for someone to stand behind his product like scott does thank you, scott did not know me at the time and i bought my subs used not from fi when i was playing my subs before i went up and paul saw something wrong he started working on it

Hey guys, just want to think you for sending the tinsel lead. My Question is how much is it for a recone kit for my XXX 15. Just want to know the price's. The reason way is that the sub just doesn't sound the same. Dont know why but its weird. Anyway thank you guys and have a good day.
