hi i need some help picking an fi sub for my amp i have a shift 1000rms 2000max at 1ohm i keep blowing subs and i want an fi sub can some one help me choose one that wont blow plus i want one that will shake the windows witch one would you recomend for playing loud and for long pereods of time?

i am gettin a 15" dual 2ohm Fi Q i want to know if it would sound better ported or sealed thanks

Hey guys, ok so I bought a 12 ssd with the copper coil option and Im going to be running it off the Kicker zx1000.1 amp im putting it in a 2008 nissan frontier extended cab and i was wondering what you guys think would be the best box dimensions for both ported and sealed enclosures I am building the box my self and i just wanted the deepest lowest bass with the SQ Thanks

Hey guys, been awhile since I have been on here to pick your brains. I had my Charger SRT, got it set up nicely, and realized I really dislike cars so I sold it and got a F150, 4 door. Every truck I have had I put a fiberglass lid on the back and did a blowthrough going into the cab. I have always been happy with that, but could never haul anything. In keeping with a truck theme, I am planning on keeping the back open this time. To get a decent amount of bass I would like to rip out the back seat and put two individual seat in there and build a custom fiberglass console running up to the front seat, maybe a little further. OK im going to buy some Fi sub's..im thinking abut getting 1 BTL 18" with P Chamfer, Cooling, HiXmCoil, Daily and I Heat Ring...or 2 SSD 18"s with FlatwindCoil and CopperCoil upgrad's...both combo's will be used up to spec like Rms watt's , Ported box cuft, Hz and so on...iv never heard these sub's in person so im not sheer whats better or i should say whats louder or hits harder...what ever you want yo call it...Thanks billy!!!

Ok, i am selling my bl 18's here locally over next week or so. Should I wait for the 22" FI subs or go ahead and try the IA DP 21"? Thing is I really dont want to wait awhile before gettin new subs

I'm gonna be ordering 2 of the Q15's dual 2 ohms fully loaded, and wiring them both to a AQ2200D, and I want to know what would be the best enclosure I can build for SQ? I've heard sealed is the best for SQ, and aside from that the carpenter building the box for me doesn't know anything about tuning a box, so i'm pretty sure ported or bandpass is out of the question. Would I be right to assume if I use the max 4^3 feet per woofer it would hit the deep note better? If so, what would be the best way to put both of those into a 43inx40inx17 (LengthXWidthxDepth). i find out i get canned from on of my jobs today and was kinda depressed and then all of a sudden the doorbell rings. Sure enough it was my brand new 15 " BL's. this made my day possible my week. i totaly forgot i got fired lmao. next week i start my install monday morning first thing. pics wil be up soon after the install

Hey i have a Fi BL 15" and i was wondering for my amp kit do i need to upgrade it. i havent yet to install the sub yet cause im scared my 4guage rockford amp kit wont handle the sub and might jack it up..will it..or do i need a 1/0 amp kit?? will a 4guage work or should i rip out the 4 guage? and if i need a 1/0 can i keep the existing ground cable and remote wire or do i need to change those out to?? thanks..and sorry for so many questions!!! -Ryan

No the sub isnt playing yet, i only have 2. The other 2 get here monday and i WILL make a vid of them moving........this is just a video perspective of what they look like instead of the pics i posted. It looks bigger in the video i think. Anyway its a little something i tossed together so you can see another view of it.

I am waiting on a reply from Nick. I don't see to many people reconing an ssd. How much is a recone kit for an ssd. I need to change to D2's instead of my D1's. I picked up another Zapco Studio 500 and need 4ohm a woofer. Can it have the copper coils and or the flatwound coil on this go around with a stock motor? Is it a kit or just a cone? you know, does it come with glue and shims to locate the coil in the gap, thats sort of stuff. thanks

okay guys, i am fairly new to the whole subwoofer thing and i need a bit of help getting myself started. First off, i need to know the differences between duals (1) (2) (4). My friend is helping me with most of this, and he tells me that i need subwoofers that come in a dual 4 ohm coil so he can wire them up to 1 ohm. I am planning on getting 2 12" Subwoofers, either Soundsplinters rl-p in a dual 4 ohm (if i knew what that meant) or the Fi Q's, but i'm having a hard time figuring out if they can be wired up to 1 ohm. Whether i get the rl-p's or q's they will be both placed in the same exact sealed enclosure, and will be wired to an elemental designs amp that is running 12…

well i just received my first Bl loaded 12" from FI. holy sh..........it! This new speaker blows my two previous Type R 12's away!!!!!!!! Much deeper lows and the highs are much more noticable. Due to money restraints, it is even on the same RF1000w/rms amp i previously had as well as it is even in a 1.25 cu.ft. Q-logic ported sub box!!! I can probably go with a bigger box and amp too huh? this is my plan so, if any one can help with ideas it would help out (new at this)......... I will be purchasing a second sub and I am having a sub box built to FI specs for the two to fit in Ford Focus trunk. Will also be buying (from somewhere) a Sundown 3000d to power both and …

Hi i was wondering if somebody know the pecifications of a fully loaded btl 18?? im getting ready to build a box for it but fi has taking the old btl out of the website and i know the pecs, does anybody knows them thanks.

I am redoing my system so decided to try some new subs. Fi Car Audio SSD 12 - D2 x 4. The build quality on these drivers seem great. Suspension is stiff, loads stiffer than my current RE Audio SR's. I've got my own custom box design which is a bit secret at the moment, there will be more details about this later. This will be a streetpounder style system. I have ~3KW :-) There will be more pics as the build continues.

does anyone know how stable a diamond audio d3 800.1 is at 1 ohm? running a fi q 12" with dual 2 ohm and bp?

Im asking this question on here because i cant seem to get fi to email me back, but im wondering before i order, is a 7 cube ported box too small for 2 btl 15s? if not, what HZ would it need to be tuned to?. i figured it might be a bit small so ill probably have to get 12's but i have never played with these subs..thanks

fi btl 18 daily or spl ??

I will have ~5.4 cubes and 87" of port. What will get louder/perform better, 12s or 15s? BTW they will be BTLs with ~3kw each. I know it would be starving for the 15s, but not sure if the cone area would conteract that.
