Does anyone have comparison pics of their 10 or 12 inch Fi SSd or Q next to other competitors subwoofers. I am particularly interested in they are next to something from JL, TREO, or Alpine. I am trying to find out if these subwoofers would fit in my particular situation. I am building a fiberglass box that will have the airspace and the depth to it that is needed but it will have to be tapered down at the bottom to fit under the seat of my 2010 dodge ram crew cab so I am trying to find out if these subs would work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have a couple SAZ-4500D heading my way. Playing around with my options. My BTL18 is quite happy on two SAZ-1500D, I wonder what would happen if I threw two 4500D at it? I plan on building a box tuned real low (~27Hz), tired of chasing numbers, want something that drops looooow.

Hey as you can see below bottom of my post all my equipment listed! Problem is last week my subs where slapping this week they still are slapping just not on the really low low notes the output is not as powerful neither is the air it moves. Everything else hits and plays fine. Box tuned at about 32half hz had subsonic on about 24-23hz , NO bass boost gain 3quarters on amp and i use the gain knob in the cabin for the clipping meter max i go on the knob in the cab is one quarter. I have no clue whats wrong is it the subs, amp etc. One thing i have tried doing so far was turning the subsonic up to 34hz to see if i was playing out of the box's tuning frequency and that did …

Got a t40001bd expecting to power two fi btl's , but read some where that 1 could easily handle that amp. Is this possible and how great of a chance of blowing it do I have?

Ok I've had subs before but nothing too fancy just some 12" kicker cvxs in a ported box and running a 1200W (i think) MTX amp. Well i sold that and now I want something new. I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and don't care about trunk space so if the subs take up the whole trunk so be it. The thing is my budget is $1000 and I don't want to upgrade my electrical or get very technical with my system. I listen to mainly electronic music (trance, house, etc..) and rap/hip hop once in a while. Now i've read here that if your going for a SQ setup your not going for loud. I understand this, but since I do listen to rap/hip hop does this mean I am not going to be able to enjoy the lo…

I would like to know something. I just sold my Alpine Type-R 12's and I think I'm buy some FI SSD's but I need some help with the options. I'm going with dual 2 ohms, with the BP power, what I need help with is what coil to go with I was thinking just staying with the copper coil, but don't know if the flatwind would be better. I'm running the Alpine MRD-m1005.

i preordered a khaotic enclosure and i was originally going to get a bl 12 fully loaded with 1700 rms (hifonics brz1700.1D). now the btl-n1 came out. it looks like a lower power alternative to the btl n2. the n1 looks like a sq driver and is a lot lighter, but im not sure if it would have more spl than the bl 12. im not sure how much the n1 will cost either, but shipping will be a lot lower than with a bl. which 12 inch sub u think i would be better off to get? electrical: stock alternator 1 hc800 under hood 2 hc1800 in trunk rockford fosgate 10 farad hybrid capacitor 1 and 2 awg big 3

Just opened her up tonight. I must say, pictures do not do this subwoofer justice! The build quality is excellent. My first impressions were, DAMN this thing is heavy! I have never really picked up a 15" woofer, but this thing is downright beefy The box it came in was a little beat up from the outside, which worried me enough to not open it for a couple of days....But today i figured what the hell, and opened it. Needless to say I was surprised to find out that everything was in MINT condition I will definitely keep the box in case I ever need to ship the woofer back. From the time I placed the order till it was on my doorstep was ~10 days, although it seemed like 30…

I was wondering which would be a better buy, 2 SSD 12s or 1 BTL 12. I would be using a Rockford Fosgate T1500 amp. Can anyone help me with which one would be louder? Clearer? Any opinions would help a lot!

I got this adhesive kit from FI. I have a Tc-3000 and the rubber surround is coming off the cone. How do I use this kit? I know I should clean the rubber and cone first. Do I use the black stuff first and then adhesive? Thanks solo

I know the Q is better for SQ, I know the BL is better for SPL. Is the SQ difference large enough for me to decide on a Q, or is it not enough, might as well get the louder BL? I'm going for sound quality, but if it isn't noticeably different between the two, I'll get the BL because it's louder. I plan on building the box at 3cu.ft. tuned to 33hz Thanks!

I haven't seen really any direct comparisons between the two so I wanted to see if anyone has any personal experience with the old and new SSD's. I own an older stock SSD and loved how it sounded, but I just sold it. I was wondering how the new one sounds compared to the old? I'm trying to decide if I want to try out one of the new SSD's or just totally downgrade to a SA-8. Any info will be really appreciated.

Yo, guys. Tell me something, i have a dd m4a amp and i'll be soon working on a 8x12" project. I was thinking of the fi ssd 12" subs, would they do with that amp in a portet enclosure with about 1.4cubs per sub( yes they will be in the same box, no chambers between them) tunned to about 38hz and wired to .5ohm on the amp(8subs with dual 2ohm coils). What are your opinions, will they do good, maybe other subs? Tnx for the answers !

I was wondering how long it usually takes to get an ordered Fi sub built and shipped. I ordered my sub about 10-12 days ago and the tracking still says: Billing Info Received I'm definitely not being impatient, just a little curious. I'm hella excited.

I am thinking about doing an IB setup next. Was wondering what would be better for me to try to do. 2 15'' or 2 12'' or trying to squeeze 2 18'' subs into my car. Right now I have the big 3 done stock batt and I am driving a 2007 Honda Accord Coupe. Mind you this IB setup will be going in my trunk and the seats will be folded down during use. Oh and I am using a SAX-1200D so I have got plenty of power. My other question is the power rating on these or 550 rms at 20hz. Does that mean I would tune my amp to put out rms power at 20hz? New to the idea of IB so any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jeremy

I am looking at the Rockford Fosgate T500-1bdCP amp to power my two Fi X 12" subwoofers (without the BP opton). It will be wired @2 ohms. The box meets Fi's requirements and is vented. Will this amp match the subwoofers and get full potential out of my X's? I listen to music loud for long periods of time, this isn't a competition system. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=2&series_id=104&family_id=105&item_id=117363&locale=en_US&p_status=

hello all you people out there. I just recently ordered an 18Q duel 2 and a AQ1200D amp. I am going to be putting it in a 05 grand prix gtp and was hoping for some feed back as to what kind of wire, how much of it and where to get it. and if i am going to be needing another battery. if so what kind and where a good place to get it would be. I am making a box at the moment, its 34", 30", 18" and set at 32 Htz. any feed back to help an ex kicker cvr user out is much appreciated. WOOT FI Audio
