I just wanted to post up and say I love my SSD's but they are killing my trunk lol. I DONT understand how you guys are getting BL's and BTL's haha Here is a pic as of now. My installer is going to finish up this weekend hopefully with carpet, a complete false wall, sound deadening, and something he wont tell me for the false floor Here is an idea of the horrible trunk rattles hah. I'm building a home theater setup and was wondering if a q can be custom ordered In a 21" or 22" basket? Or if one can be reconed and basketed to that size.

Bought a used Fi bl 18 off a guy and he said he didnt know what options he put on it. From what i assume its got flatwind coil and is a 1 ohm dvc, here's a picture in case anyone knows thanks.

if this is in the wrong section, please move/delete it. I've had my fi Q 12 for about 4 or 5 months now. I have an mtx amp which supposedly gives out 1200rms at 1 ohm but i only have kicker 4 ga running to it so i doubt its putting 1200rms out. the sub has recently started making weird rattling noises when played at about 5/8 to max volume. i hope its not blown out. the cone pushes down pretty easily. The noise it makes is like a car rattling noise but its coming directly from the speaker. any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

just a question is the powerbass xta-4000d a good amp for a fi btl 18 i heard nothing but good things about powerbass amps and i had my eye on this one over sundow amps soundstream and rockford

I finally picked up my Fi Q12 from UPS warehouse after a torturing wait for 2 days. The reason is the package was droped around 5:28 pm last friday at the UPS warehouse and I came there few minutes early hoping that the truck will drop it off but was sadly told that the package is still inside the truck and the warehouse is closing at 5:30 pm. The guy at the UPS asked me.. " Is this sub inlcudes the box already?" LOL! I told him it's just the custom sub from Ficaraudio. He said "I have 2 Alpine Type R's that probably weighs the same as that" lol! Anyways, I finally picked it up today and here's some pics.:

I'm going to be running 2200 rms to two 18 Inch Q's. Think I can keep them both straight stock? Or should I pay for a couple upgrades?

so i am thinking of getting two of the ssds fully loaded. i had two fully loaded 12" btls before and i loved them i want 18s and thats what i can afford. with that being said i have a 300 amp alt, two red tops, and two bd1001s in a chevy silverado 1500. does anybody know what kind of numbers i could expect off the two subs. the best i did with the 12s was a 151.6 on a term lab at the windsheild

I currently have 2 db drive platinum 12s on an Alphasonik PMA600HCA that is rated at 1800rms and I was wondering if the Fi BL12 would do good on this amp or should I look into a different amp or woofer?

ok i have a bit over 2k watts to work with @ 1 ohm, (AQ2200D) i have roughly 5 cubes of space to work with, which would get louder, 2 FI Q 15's sealed, or 1 BTL 15 ported? this will be going in a extended cab dodge dakota. i listen to i would say a 50/50 mix of rap/hiphop and metal/metalcore/deathmetal

I currently have a 12bl fully loaded followed by a sundown sae 1200d. Is it worth returning the two and buying a 12in FI BTL and an audioque 2200d? Or should i keep what i have right now? With the items i have now i spent about $650-700 including shipping, However if i were to purchase a btl12 and an audioque 2200d it will cost me about $789, but i get refunded $139. Should i do it?

im planning my system right now and im wondering if i should get 2 ssd 12 plain (850 rms each) or 1 fully loaded bl 12 or 15 (1700rms). i want this system to be loud as fuck but have great quality. 95% of the music ill be listening to will be death metal so the bass will need quick response but i dont want the bass to overpower the music, i still want to be able to hear all the guitar notes. Hello! I am in the process of buying a new sub set up. I am looking at purchasing 1 12ssd fully loaded at dual 2. the amp i've been looking at has been the Hifonics BRZ1200.1D Hifonics BRZ1200.1D Amp: Mono - Car Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com I was wondering if this would be a good choice? if not any other suggestions in the 200-250 price range? I just got my two fully loaded FI Q15s. These monsters weigh about 45 pounds each. The build quality of them is nothing short of amazing. I built two sealed boxes that have about 2.5 cubes per box for these things to pound in. Thanks goes out to Scott and the rest of the team at FI for making some of the best subs. These things are built like a Tank!! I just wish that FI would post some larger pictures of there stuff so they can show off all of the detail in their high quality subs. Thanks again FI for making a sound quality sub that also gets loud.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say, I got my setup in and it sounds AMAZING. I got the 15" loaded BL and bought the aq1200d amp to go. With this i installed the big 3 with 0 gauge except battery to chasis is 4 because i ran out lol.. My battery is stiing around just over 13 volts when off ! and when i play about 14.4 ish. Its in a 3.3 cubic foot box tuned to around 32 hz. Let me say, i have been breaking it in carefully, and wow do i notice a difference. My previous settup was 2 12" jackhammers with a 500 rms sony xplod amp and a cap lol (yes i got rid of the capacitor) It gets really loud in there for sure, while sounding deep and clear, and i know it will get louder,…

I need some serious opinion on this not opinions about what brand you prefer but truly which sub is the better overall woofer. I have (2) T2000.1bd RF, RF Line Driver BLD, 2 Kinetic HC 2000 racing series batteries, big 3, high output alternator, Monster Cable 402 series RCAs, Pioneer Priemere 980T head unit. I have never had experience with either brand but from what ive heard the 3500 will walk the BTL (fact or is someone dreaming?)

im looking at both woofers and i was just wanting to get some input from people that have exprience with both or either one on how many watts you had on the box specs and options you had on the woofer and what you liked or disliked about that woofer and what woofer you would reccomend in that price range

Alright guys and gals. I am looking at getting two ten inch subwoofers for under the seat of my 2010 dodge ram crew cab. I am comparing the BL, Q, and SSD. This is not a which sub sounds better kind of thread. What I would like to know is what the motor width is on these subs and at what depth is that width at because I see that the motors get really wide then taper down. I want to know this because the box for the 2010 ram crew cabs tapers down towards the bottom so I'm kinda limited for space in that sense. I have enough room (air space) wise. Any help you can give me would be extremely appreciated.
