Hey I was just wondering, which pair of subwoofers would hit louder on the same power, 2 12" BLs or 2 12" Alpine Type X's. any input would be appreciated, so long as it isn't fanboyish, if that makes sense.

Hello all! I just order a ssd15 over the weekend and was gonna be powering it at 800 RMS. Currently my order is for just the basic 15, no flatwind, no bp power. But now I have the opportunity to get a better amp and I am trying to decide between the Sundown SAE 1200 and the sundown SAZ 1000, I read with the flatwind and bp power you can put a lot more power into it, so i was looking at changing my order to include one or both of the upgrades. Both of those amps are the same price so I wasnt sure which to go with. So the question is! : Which amp with which upgrades would give me the best performance for the sub? Thanks, Ryan

I'm kicking around the notion of upgrading my Atlas to IB3s. I wanted to know if the IB3 line was going to get upgraded to the single magnet design like the other sub lines did? If they are going to be updated, is there a time line? I'd like to get the latest and greatest. Thanks.

Ok so I have a few questions about getting two 12" Fi BL's, I want to buy two of them, but want to make sure they will fit in the trunk of a Honda Accord Coupe first. They will be powered by a Cadence ZRS-8 which will do around 18-1900 rms @ 1 ohm. 1. What size of a box will I need for two 12" BL's 2. Will the subs be louder if they have there own chambers/port? 3. What does the box need to be tuned to for them to sound the loudest but still sounding good with music? In case you need to know what type of music I listen to, I listen to a pretty wide variety such as, hip hop, rap, screamo, metal, some techno, and alternative.

I'm looking for strictly output here. I have room for about a 4 cuft box to house 2 12's or 1 15 in a ported enclosure. My question, if I gave the same amount of power to 2 12" SSD's as opposed to one 15" BTL, what would have the greater output? It's roughly the same price for each option, so that's why I'm wondering.

All I can Say is WOW. I went from an 12" Alpine 1243d SWS. I love the way the SSD sounds. So clear and deep. Im only running 600 watts right now but hopefully more in the future. I'm gonna recommend Fi subs to everyone. Great job. Customer for life

Is the new Q that much better? I guess what I'm asking is, if I can buy a used fully loaded Q for $185 shipped, Is the new Q that much better to spend $330 shipped? I know I'm comparing used to new, But, what does the new Q do better than the old one? Beside look sexier. And before I get any crap about not searching. I did. I went back three months on all three Fi forums and didn't find a thread comparing the old and new Q.

Hey guys Im set on buying the 15" BL the options im looking at purchasing is the Hyper Pole and Flatwind Coil and Daily im looking at getting the Hifonics Brutus Bxi1610D amp which puts out 1200 RMS at 2 ohms and 1600 RMS at 1 ohm. I would rather have it on 1 ohm but can the BL with those options Handle that power Daily with no problems.. I wont be blasting it full too much. If not then i guess i gotta settle with 2 ohms but i heard Hifonics RMS is underrated? I have stock electrical with Alpine Deck and a oversized Capacitor with 4 Gauge wire. Dont know the measurements but i'm going to put it into a ported box thank you !

Just got my new 12" SSD's and now I'm looking for an amp to push them. I know it says they will take 800rms a piece but will they take more? And if yes then will they be able to handle 1250rms a piece? I have them wired at 1 ohm together and I use them daily.
