how come when u try to buy any size Q, for example the 12 inch, it says $244 but the next step says the price is $269 without adding any options? Is this an error of some sort? I noticed that its only happening with the Q series...

Im looking for a sub with amazing low end extension in a sealed enclosure. Im down to the Q, or an AA Havoc. my question are: 1. is the Q a copper coil? 2.is P chamfer option enough to help the Q handle an sae-1200d? 3. the Fs seems higher on the Q now, still hit the low lows well? Thaks!

Well just this weekend I installed my two Fi SSD fully loaded 15's temporarily being pushed by an Audioque 2200D, and all I have to say is WOW. They sound so clear and have the ability to get louder than I had expected. I am very impressed with these speakers and would recommend them to anyone. They are taking 2000wrms no problem, and don't even get warm. Keep up the good work Fi.

hey guys heres my situation..tight on space..i have no more then 3sq ft to commit to a box size..1000 watts to work with..and 80% of the time music will be rap..but i dont want it to sound boomy, sloppy...ive heard some subs where you cant even tell when one beat ends and another starts..its just sloppy..so for size i know i can do a 10'' maybe 12'' ..that would be pushing it though..ok so i know the Q series is there sq line and the bl is considered ""SQL""? i was reading a few threads and i noticed some people said the sq between the bl and q really is not that different..is this true? id like to do a 10'' ported bl but im not 100% sure how it will sou…

The title says it all. basically im wondering how loose the suspension should get because im pushing this thing pretty damn hard. and im just not sure if its normal to loosen up this quickly. i just put my saz-3000 in the other day and before that it was on my rockford t1500. lets just say the saz is giving it a work out. the first day i put it in and got it o scoped so no clipping occurs, the dust cap was getting fairly warm (almost hot), but now about 2 days after putting the saz-3000 in i can play 35 hz tones at 0 db for a good period of time (burping for 10 seconds then turning down, then repeat the process for about 5 minutes) and the cone barely gets warm.... i…

I am pretty much set on having a single 15" Q. I am upgrading from a 12" type r, ported, and I am looking for better SQ. My question is, will the sealed get as loud as my ported 12? And if not, will it still have good quality if I port it low? Space is not really an issue. Also, it will likely get 1000w RMS at 2 ohms

Havent got my amp in yet, but my buddy with a kicker kx1200.1 came over, so i took the chance and talked him into putting the FI q in there to hear it for the first time. My box, b4 speaker displacement, is 2.5cu/ft tuned to 32.2hz. I do have the BP power option also I was thoroughly impressed with both the sound quality and the output of the Q. I kept reading everybody state that if you want "loud" to go with the BL, but i dont see this really being a factor with the Q. I understand teh BL is more directed for spl than SQ like the Q, but i was very impressed at the output of the Q, and did not expect it to be that loud. My buddy who owns the car said the Q was louder …

As shown here... I've been running this off of AudioQue's 2200D for about a year now and i know BTL's can handle more than 2k. I've heard that Transmission lines reduce what the sub can handle of some sort? I've been looking at the new 3500.1D from AudioQue but I've had other people tell me it will blow my BTL in a T-line. So if anyone knows either or not i can put the 3500.1D on it let me know. Much appreciated. -D.Kish

Ok, at the moment I'm running a single ported 10" BTL in an underseat box I made. I'm wanting to go to two SSD 12"s in a larger sealed box. The amp I have is a JBL GTO 1201.1 II: specs: http://www.jbl.com/EN-US/Products/Pages/ProductSupportDetails.aspx?PID=GTO1201.1+II 787W RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms • 1114W RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms • Dynamic power: 1339W at 2 ohms What voice coil option would I need to choose on them, and how would I wire them to get ~700W going to each sub? Thanks!

Well my Sundown 1200D amp is on the way and I want to get my 2 12 inch SSD's tomorrow! To get it to 1 ohm I will need to get dual 1's right? This will go my my 2006 Dodge Charger R/T which after the big 3 I hope to get around 13v. What options do you think I should get on my SSD's? I guess more the options the better because I will always have the option to expand later??? Any thoughts would be great! Thanks

Guys, I've read a lot of topics where you basically refuse to answer peoples shitty questions because they don't give you enough info, e.g. goals, music type, power, amp, room, tuning, etc. I don't blame you so I'm going to do my best here to describe what I'm looking for and any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently running 2 10" Type Rs in a custom box under my back seat, they sound pretty decent for 10s but I NEED to go louder and don't care about sacrificing half of my back seat. I'm looking to sell them to a friend and keep the Kicker amp so I'm looking at speaker options. I listen to mostly rap with some rock here and there. I like it loud but i…

Dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm. also is the flatwind coil worth the extra $20 (i have no idea what it actually does). the BP power worth the money? (once again no idea) and what should be decided on the QTS? If anyone can help me out that would be great. I am wanting to order these as soon as possible so I can get them installed THANKS

so i went to put the sub in the box i made for it and it didnt fit in the hole. lol. so i got to sanding the hole out (left my jigsaw at a buddies house) and i soon realize that after about 45 min of sandin the hole out that if i take the rubber boot off it will go in the hole. and the sub basket must be smaller than the magnet itself cause after getting it in the hole there is alot of play. so one of my question is can i put the sub in without the rubber cover? logic says yes, but i dont know if there is a function to the boot or not. and how do people hook up the terminals? lol. seeing as the magnet is the same size as the hole i have for it how do you get your hand…

Here's the story. I have an 18'' BTL dual 2 ohm. Obviously I want to run it at 1 ohm. I have 8 gauge wiring to connect the terminals in parallel, but how do I do that? I know how to wire it, but I don't know how to fit the wires in the terminals. I can fit one, but not two. Now I know tons of people on here have BTL's so someone PLEASE help. Should I connect some of the 8 gauge to a ring terminal? 2 prong terminal? It just doesn't seem like either of those options would be tight inside the BTL's terminals. Thanks to all who respond

So i got my bolts and tee nuts today, and i go to test fit them into the sub and to my shock the bolt doesnt fit in the hole on the basket! now i dont know if this is a common problem or not. but im just not sure how to handle this as i dont want to buy new bolts. I also bought extra bolts and nuts for my buddies 3 18" BTL's will this be the same problem? I guess i should say the bolts are 1/4-20 Socket Head cap screws. i know i could drill the hole out. and it is what im going to do, but i guess im just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue? I will post pics in a minute, i just wanted to get this on here soon as i wish to install this today or tomorrow. ki…
