WHats up guys. I'm looking to buy a new sub. I have a 04 pontiac grand prix. I'm looking for a sub thats going to get loud and hit hard. I'm stuck between a fully loaded BL 12" and a AA Havoc 12". I wanted to run it at 1ohm on a AQ1200D. Im also wondering what electrical upgrades im going to need to make. My electrical is all stock now. MY budget for the box, amp, and sub is around $600-$750. Thanks guys!

Ok.. i see questions like this all over the place.. so ill try to lay it out in a way you guys can give me the best advice.. I know BTL's are awesome.. ive never heard one in person but there is no doubt in my mind there probably worth every penny. My question is... Im on somewhat of a budget.. Ive heard a buddy's car along time ago runnin 2 12" power Hx2's and it sounded really good. Well i have a Tahoe now with some room in it so Ive found some local Power HX2 15's that i can afford to pick up.. OR.. i can probably squeeze out the cash for an 18" BTL (just 1) .. Lookin for SPL, not gonna be in any tournaments or anything, just tryin to hit alot harder than anyone aroun…

I finally completed my box for my BTL this last weekend and got it stuffed in my truck last night. Its rough and simple and I dont have any pics as I returned my dig cam. I didnt know it took AA batts so I returned it after my trip to Ark. The box is 42W" x 22H" x 22D" w/out any bracing or 45's. Just a double baffle top. It is 7.5ft3 at 32 hertz with 123 sqin of port area. The port is 6 inches wide. It is sub up, port up. I am running a 250amp Mechman alt with a Die Hard truck/suv batt under the hood. I have 1/0 wiring with 8ga. speaker wire. Im currently running a Hifonics BXI2006. This driver POUNDS the lows like Ive never heard before! Comparing it to the 4 12's I t…

Well it so happens my wife wants some bass in her 06 Mercury Mariner SUV. We wanted something that sounds very good without having to add to much to the vehicle. We also don't want a huge box either and save some trunk space. She always finds a way to put her entire closet in the back of this thing. I was thinking of a FI SSD 12". I really have no idea what would be a decent cost effective amp for this sub. Also I was wondering if I could use the existing battery from the car to handle the amp and 12" SSD. Any recommended thoughts would be great!

On the FI BTL 15" Fully Loaded, but for Daily/Music, Specs state 3cu to 5 cu tuned to I don't remember like 35hz... Whatever it is... This will be powered by a SAZ-2000D... Lets assume I have the electrial system to back it up... How much difference will I see between a 3 cu enclosure and a 5cu??? Not sure if it matters, but I am wanting to do Sub and vent facing up, vent furtherest to the rear.. I wish I could hear it both ways... Well I guess I could, but I don't want to spend the money on two enclosures...

I've heard many good things about Fi subs and have heard a couple in person. I was just wondering which one I should get. Price wise I have about $400 to spend on the sub. I listen to an equal mix of rock and rap. I was wanting a 15 that would sound good on both types of music. More than likely I will be powering it with a hifonics 1200 rms amp but I have been looking at some Kicker amps also. I am open to opinions so just shoot one at me. thank you for you're time. Also opinions on which amp to get would be welcome too, I'm not set on the hifonics or any kicker amp. About $400 is my limit for the amp

I want a Fi BL 12 with a ported 2.5 cu ft box. The problem is that i don't think a 2.5 foot height will fit in my trunk. My question is, could i make the box deeper, to make up for the height lost? And still have a total of 2.5 cu feet?

Inner Heat Sink: Its a machined aluminum ring in the gap that lowers the voicecoils inductance (allowing it to play up higher and have a little better overall transient response). It also reduces the volume inside the magnet gap of the motor increasing air speed with the cooling as well as allowing the coil to kick off heat to a more receptive thermal mass rather than magnets. I'm looking for a daily speaker. Does adding the IHS which according to the definition, allows to play higher have any effect on the lows? Is this a recommended option to get with the following other options, Cooling & HiXmCoil?

I am looking to build a system for my cousin. I have been reading everywhere I can and I really like the looks and specs of the q line. I have never heard any Fi product but from what I have read they seem to be pretty nice. The last system I had was: 3 jl 10w6 (1st version) in a sealed custom box 1 Orion hcca 275 g4 amp 1 Orion hcca 250 g4 amp 1 a/d/s amp p40.2 maybe can't remember mb quart 6.5 q line upgraded alt 2 1 farad caps Back in the day it was a pretty sweet setup. I like good sound quality with ability to bump, but sound quality is more important. My questions are How do these subs compare to the original jl? What is a good amp to push 2 12's? Better sealed…

I'm ordering the BTL 18", and I have 2 smaller amps (approx 1k rms each) and I was planning on running both of them to the 1 sub.. However, I also plan on buying a bigger amp in the future and running it alone to the sub at 1 ohm. Should I just get the D2 and just run one of the 1kw amps to it until I get the other amp?

I want to get a BL 12. And I have been lurking this forum for a while now and have noticed that one of the recommended amps for this sub would be a Sundown 1500d. My question is, is there a good place to purchase these from? Because when I Google it, all that comes up is old deals on random forums. Any help? Thanks. Blake
