I was sent here by the good folks at AVS forum. I have a Sadhara sub with a blown voice coil, and they said I need a reconing on the sub. I guess Scott from Fi Car audio has worked on other XBL^2 drivers, it's possible that he may be able to help me out? Im in the dark here...so any help anyone can offer would be very helpful

newb box help So I think I might be able to fit two 18" BL's @ the min. cubes of 5 per sub. just curious if I'm calculating the port disp. right... 12-16" per foot, so I shot down the middle with 14", which gives me about 1/2 a cube per port, but somehow this doesn't seem big enough... so how many cubes per sub for port? thanks...

Well it's been a long time since I've owned any car audio, Got older got married had kids you can paint the rest of the picture ...... LOL Anyway here goes, I been lurking here for a couple months along with a bunch of other ca forums been reading tons of good things about FI & basically I'm pretty much dead set on running the 12" Q's I got close to 6 cubes to work with. Now to the questions: Is the sundown saz1500D enough to run 2 12's ported (unless you guys think I should go sealed) daily or would I be better off running 2 sae1000D. The vehicle is a 2000 Cadillac DTS all factory wiring so that brings be to the second question if I had to run the 2 sae1000D's would …

I'm thinking about buying a 15" Bl. Ill put it in the recommended ported box and give it 1500 watts rms. How are these subs in general. How loud do they get and how do they sound. I listen to mostly rap and some rock and if there are any other drivers that are just as good or better for the same price then I am still looking for more suggestions. Thank you, Justin

Chris at Fi has a little project vehicle going on right now. I thought Id share a couple of quick pics of things. I really do feel sorry for his H2... he is going to put some hurt on it with close to 30kW and (6)BTL15s tuned to 30Hz. All MDF is either 1" or 1.5". Several layers of each. Ribs/stringers around the outside of the box then all foamed in. It is about as dead as things can get without pouring in cement. And thats not even touching on his proprietary concoction he uses to fill gaps and fillet corners... that stuff is nuts. Lots more glasswork to do on the outside surfaces to get them prepped for leather and suede. Obviously trimming and flushing things i…

Hello guys. I'm just another audio fanatic trying to look see whats the best route for my goals. I am definitely looking and wanting SQ, I'm just not sure about which brands work, and what brands to stay away from. Also, I'm looking into upgrade my amp, but I guess overall, looking for a system thats not too taxing on the electrical system. Looking at the FI Q's, seem to be very tempting. My vehicle is an 01 tahoe.. Currently, I have a beginners system... Kappa Inifinity Comps w/ jl 4 channel, 2 punch HE's in a sealed box(dont flame, I did't know any better) w/ old pioneer amp, and a poineer h/u... Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated... Thanks..

Whaddup? I'm wondering what you all would think of a pair of FI BL 15's hooked up to a T2000 pushing about 2300 watts rms to the pair? Right now I'm running to T1 15's and have hit close to 150db on a term lab. I'm wondering if I'm moving in the right direction or not. I don't have much money for a better system I.E. no extra money to run a second amp, no extra money to step up to BTLs. OR ELSE I WOULD lol. Whadda ya think? I've got power under control with a 200amp Powermaster alt, Optima yellow top up front with a Streetwires isolator in between to a CDT GELLCELL battery in back, 0guage throughout. So here is what i am currently looking at. haven't bought the amp yet but i probably will unless someone has a better idea. Planet Audio RXD2400 I'm open to suggestion on the amp as well. I drive a honda Fit. and i am putting a system in it. I have been living off of the philosophy less is more for quite sometime. But now i've decided to change things up a little. Being that i work in the car audio industry as a salesman i need a good system. One that sounds good because i listen to all types of music. and one thats loud because well if your sh**s not loud then for some reason you don't get any respect. So my goal is to get 1 10" sub and blow away these guys who thi…

I'm getting ready to purchase a new car and I haven't had bass in about 2 months so I'm going through withdrawl. Would it hurt my 12" BL to put it in a sealed box for a few weeks? I know its not recommended, but at the moment I don't have time to make a nice ported box. Thanks for the help guys... Daniel

Well.....the 18's are gone. I've decided to go with a smaller setup. The next one will be powered by a modded Mojo 2500D. Due to money constraints and my interest in saving space it will be a single sub setup. My question is whether I should go with a 12" or 15" BTL. Either one will be ported. I listen to mostly rock now with a little rap every now and then. I'm trying to go for a good LSQ design. I know the 15" would be louder but I'm still thinking of how neat it would be to have single little 12". I haven't owned a 12 in years. So basically I need someone to talk me into one of those setups.

I will probably using the same amps or buying the slightly higher rated brutus. Oh just fyi the car is a lincoln towncar

Do you make a recone kit (besides basket) that would fit an 18" MMATS Juggernaut, and if so, how much would it cost shipped to 48040?

Ok, Im changing my mind again on setups. I already have an 18" Fully Loaded BTL, Im thinking about going with 2 15" BL's now, no options and selling the BTL. Im seeing that I can use 2 15" BL's in the same size box and use the same power as the 18" BTL would use. I will be feeding either setup about 2000watts. What should I expect in differance? I hear the BL suck on lowend, that true? THANKS 1 18" BTL Fully Loaded with 2000watts in a 7cf@32hz box OR 2 15" BL's, no options with 2000watts the pair in 7cf@32hz box Thanks in advance...

Hello all! New to the forum and Really interesed in FI. Presently I am running a Pair of ED 12o.14's IB on a Nine.1 in my Celica but will be changing the amp to a Fosgate Power 1000 and would like to figure out what the optimum setup would be. I was thinking about either 1 Dual 2 Q 12" or a pair of Q 10"s . (the Power 1000 runs optimum at 1 ohm)so I am pretty sure the ED's will be comming out. What are your opinions on this? I am going with NDMstang65's reccomendation on the Q series but which set up? It will be IB reguardless. David
