is a US Amps AX-3200DE to much power to run a single 18" Fi BTL?

yes i am new here, but i have have read nothing but good things about fi and sundown products. i have been looking through threads for an answer to my question, but haven't really come up with anything. as the topic says... 12" Q or 12" BL (both with the bp power option, dual 2) with a sundown 1500d... which would be better suited for daily driving? it will be in the trunk of a 99 pontiac grand am and will NEVER see a mic. what i am looking for is loud bass that is not sloppy sounding... which would you guys steer me towards as a good median sub for what i want? thanks for all your help and also... in the near future i would be doubling up... another 12" Q or BL (waiti…

Fi audio is the chit. i see alot of posts asking "will the BL 18" handle more then 1000 watts? well, im pushing my BL 18" 3 times that. running a powerbass xa-3000d @ 1 ohm. 3k rms daily, and the BL lol. 1 FI BL 18 loaded $339. powerbass xa-3000d $599. hitting a 145db on music.......................PRICELESS

Hey guys im new to this forum. im wondering how much does a fully loaded 12" Fi BTL and BL's wieght?

When I had my dodge, I had 3 TREO TSi's running from a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1 amp. They sounded good. Ive sold those and I am leaning towards a 15 Fi Q for my 02 monte carlo. Im wanting a daily driver great sounding Sq set up. Could somebody tell me how the 15 will compare to the 3 10's i had? For the amp, I'm leaning towards the Sundown SAE-1000D. Would the SAZ-1500D be better? The price on this website would be the highest I want to spend on an amp. My headunit is a PANASONIC MXE CQ-C8413U if that matters. Thanks for all help. Ok so im upgrading from my current setup which is a 18 q in a 8.26 cubic box tuned to 28hz. Im gonna bump the tuning up to about 32hz and i need to know with that size box what is the proper amount of wattage to feed a BTL 18 to get full performance. I havent been on here in forever and couldnt find that answer thanx alot

ive been lookin for a new amp lately, and ive wired it down to 2 amps which are the kicker zx1500.1 and the mtx ta81001. there both the same power (1500rms) but the kicker is @ 2ohms, and the mtx is at 1ohm.which amp will have the better quality, output etc. and scince the mtx amp is 1ohm, will it draw more amps then the kicker will at 2ohms??

Ok so I have this in a 6.0 cubic ft sealed box [ 5.75 net after displacement ] and I must say, the pictures and videos online do no justice compared to being in the presents of these fine, sound & pressure making monster machines!!! I appologize if that sounded ridiculous but I couldn't contain myself. This thing is a beast in person. Took a good deal of muscle just to pull it out of the box. Just wondering..and sorry if this has been asked before, which I'm sure it has somewhere. I ordered my two Q 12's. The BL and Q are the same price, same RMS handling, same size, same enclosure recommendations (aside from tuning which is a little different) . Just curious as to how they perform differently? Or is the difference mostly to being able to customize the BL more? Say putting them in a 1.8 cube box with 2k watts ported to 32 would having a BL or Q make much of a difference?

I'm lookin at getting an 18" BL but I dunno what options I should get. I want it to be loud, but it will be a daily driver. I will be powering it with an eD NINe.1 (1200wrms) @ 1ohm. Any kind of input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

ok, i wanted a btl or bl, but i really dont have the power for one and i dont want to have to change sub amps either. So i run my crossfire vr1000d, birthsheet rating is 1300 at 13.8. Car is just for winter driving or rainy days, i listen to mostly rock, metal, and then every once in while some rap. Anyway with my box i have now, 8 cubes tuned to 34hz which one better to use SSD18 or Q18"? I need it be at 1 ohm also. thanks

i found this site while searching for info. on the fi subs. my car is a 98 nissan maxima. i listen to southern rap. the only thing i've bought so far are components (cdt hd-62/m6). i plan on getting a single q12 and putting it in a sealed enclosure fiberglassed into the wall of my trunk. what amp would you guys suggest? trying to stay away from the "bang for your buck" type stuff (which is all i know). something with a little more quality without going overboard. it wouldn't hurt if they made something that could power my comps as well (250rms @ 4ohms) cause i like stuff to match. thanks.

It is a little over 8 cubes after port displacement tuned to 34hz. I usually just drive car in winter and when raining so i dont want to spend fortune. But anyway, i looked at running 18" BTL or BL. I will only be running a crossfire vr1000d, birthsheet says 1300 watts at 1 ohm at 13.8 volts. I have kinetik under hood and kinetik 2000 in back. What suggestions do yall have? Title says it all. How would a FI Q10 compare vs an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10" VQ? I'm putting this in an Infiniti G35 coupe, and I'm looking for nothing but straight SQ, I want low extension and tight very musical bass, could care less about SPL. My enclosure size is .8cu ft., and the amp will be based on which sub I get, but it will be a higher end amp such as a Focal or Diamond.

i know that there is the D1 and the D2 option, but then in the description it says its actually .75 a coil for the D1 & 1.5 a coil for the D2. But then i also keep hearing about these impedance spikes when it reaches a certain resistance. So basically what i want is the exact load for just one 15" BTL D1 & D2 wired series and parallel. so im looking for a total of 4 numbers. thanks -wes

hey guys! looking over my sub right now and currently I have an 18 BL full loaded for daily driving. I originially had bought it to use it in an SPL comp I had that weekend and upon buying it, I have realied I don't have near enough room in my trunk. I have a maximum of 5 cu ft in my trunk (honda accord 1995) and this sub is screaming for more volume. Its so big the only way I could place it in was horizontally mounted. So, my question is this. Is there another sub or two subs that I can power with a size of 15" or less that'll do the same as this 18" BL but more reasonably. lol, sorry if that doesn't make any sense.
