  1. Just wondering where a RE SX 18 would fall into the FI lineup. It kinda seems THE it would be about the equivalent of a BL. Hopefully Scott can give me some insight into this and if is better and why or how it'd compare.. thanks alot... Joe

What will be able to produce more SPL? I know that the Q will sound nice but can it get loud as well? the Q has no options but the SSD would have bp power and copper coils? both would be in a ported box more than likely powered by a t10001bd whats your guys input? Thank for any help -Ryan

I am running my 15" Q in a sealed enclosure, off of a RF t10001bd. The sub is making like a zapping, "electrical" type noise, Even when I turn the music at the head unit off, and disconnect the RCAs from the amp, the sub continually makes this strange noise.

My BL's are omitting a 'popping' and 'crackling' noise on low Hz. Anyone know what it could be? It sounds like a voice coil problem, but sometimes it makes the noise and sometimes it doesn't which leads me to think it MAY be an amp problem. They're dual 2's wired at .5 ohms. My electrical system is PLENTY capable. I REALLY hope it's not the subs but I doubt it, especially since BOTH subs do it at the same time.

can 1-18'' BTL rip my Excursion apart with 4000 watts or do i need 2 of them? What can 1 btl do with 4000 watts or 2 with 2000 watts to each? what to hit high 140's maybe low 150's could 1 btl do this? Or would 2-15'' BTL's be happy with 2000 watts each? my boy stuck his one 13'' w7 in my X with 1300 watts and my truck was going to fall apart, but i hate jl and he has 2 w7 in his X and i need to put him down. And i need to do hair tricks.Thank Guys... mike

putting a setup together and was wondering which would be a better LSQ this will be going in the back of a 2005 Ford Expedition with third row so i will be working with only about 3-3.5 cubes off about 2600watts or so. Also whats a good tuning for this sized box to kill the lows in rap music. Any input or suggestions will be helpful. thanks ahead of time

I have never had any fi subs before. I had some jl audio subs. I am trying to build a system for my truck. I will try to be as detailed as I can for what I'm looking for. I have a 2006 Trailblazer SS and right now my sound setup is the stock bose system. I still have the factory 6 disc head unit. I'm very interested in the 15" BTL subs. From what I've been reading from the posts on here I may be good with just one 15" sub. I have always been used to having two subs. I want to be able to have a wide range of levels as far as sound. I mostly listen to rap, rock, and r&b. I want the sub or subs to be capable of hitting extremly deep levels. I wouldn't even mind trying to…

I've been reading the forums a little bit to get a feel for the subs and read some reviews. I'm havin' trouble deciding on the BL or the Q. I've been hearin' that the BL is the poor man's BTL but also I've been hearin' that the Q has the ability to get louder then the BL? I'm lookin' for just a daily 15" that will be powered by a Clarion DPX11500 1500 @ 1 ohm. I'm leaning more towards SPL a little bit more then SQ. Any advice or suggestions? It would help a million. thanks

Ok right now I have a 12" Rl-P in a ported box (1.5ft^3 33Hz) runnin at approx. 700wRMS. Since I'm a little strapped for box size here, I'm thinkin about getting 2 12" subs and putting them in a sealed box. Now, what I wanna know is what sort of gains would I achieve from getting SSD's and put them in about 1.3ft^3 chamber for each sub?

i am pretty much lloking to totaly re-do the setup in my truck. right now i have a 15ava and a bx1000, and i want to downsize. my truck has pretty much become a to and from work daily driver and do not need that much bass anymore. i just want a little something so i can still enjoy the music. i love the ava, and am hoping to have a similar sound. i am looking for a 10" and would like to keep the power handeling around 500@ 4ohm. as far as a box goes up to 1.5 cubes would be ideal. i listen to a variety of music ranging from hip-hop to country, and rock music, so it has to be versitile. what do you guys think?

Hi guys, I want your opinion on which subwoofer to set in stone within my 2002 Honda Accord Coupe. I am looking for something clean and loud (everyone wants) that is similar to my Ava but possibly better. Is the BL 15" my answer? I will let you know what equipment I am running so that you can attempt to imagine what will sound better for my application. Eclipse CD5100 Rainbow Audio Vanadium CS265 Audison LRx 1.1k (1090wrms@1ohm) Audison LRx 2.9 (260wrmsx2) Backed up with: Excessive Amperage 200A HO Alt. Kinetik HC1800 The whole vehicle is deadened besides the roof with RAAMmat BXT and I will be able to fit somewhere between 2.5-4 cubes. I have read on this forum that the …
