Im looking to downgrade from my current setup considering all the damage that im doing to my car and myself. I was going to do maybe a 1.3-1.5 cube sealed with a 12" SSD and power it with a d3400.2 at 2 ohm. It puts out 800 max at 2 ohm and i think its a little under-rated. Would this work well, im shooting for SQ without so much overly powering bass. Rock and Metal are my major listening habits btw

OK I'll be ordering my Q 12 friday when I get paid. I am wondering if I should get the BP power option, and what it is excatly. I will have the alpine pdx-1.1000 on the sub and it will be in a sealed enclosure about 1.2 cubit feet. Thanks.

I have seen a few post that the BL can handle 1500w, but I am a little bit concerned about powering it with my SAZ1500D @ 1 ohm. I don't want to blow the sub, as I know the amp puts out a tad bit more @ 1 ohm than it's rated power. If anyone is already running this setup please let me know, so I won't make a mistake. Quintin.

First of all I am newer to the car audio world so if I butcher this Im sorry. I have a Kenwood KAC-9152D amp which is 900w rms, so would the q be out of my range? I have a Infinity kappa perfect 10 that I'm not at all happy with sq or spl, would the ssd blow it away or should I look at a new amp and get the Q? I'm not that attached to the amp I just want the best bang for my buck and I know I'm not happy with the set up I have now. I want to buy something that Im going to be happy with and I don't mind spending the money to get a set up that I will be happy with.

I need a huge white Fi logo sticker for my back window. I am building a wall of BTL's in my tiburon and i would like to display what i got.

I found two Power Acoustik SL-3400D amps for $350 each. Each one puts out 2600watts x1 at 1 ohm. Would one of these on each of the BTLs be good start on powering it or would it be underpowering it? The BTLs have the Cooling, Third Magnet, and the HiXm coil. This will be a daily setup as well.

What do you guys think? One Fi/SX 12 hybrid or 2 SSD 12's. The amp is a elemental designs nine.1. Box size would be about 3 cubic feet.

How much is one of those shipped to 68510? Also before you build it is it possible to have you guys put the biggest lead wires on there (like the ones you shipped me), because When I took mine apart to fix the wires it worked fine but the copper wire broke right next to the coil, and now I have no copper wire to solder the lead wires to. let me know if there is a way to fix this problem. Also would it be possible to send you the sub I have and get 2 10" Q's and a little bit more money in exchange? My future setup is going to include 4 12" SSD's, but I can't afford them ATM, so I am trying to pick them up as cheaply as possible. I currently have a stock D1 SSD. Can I purchase two D1 SSD with the copper coils to use with my current sub? I am wondering because someone has two for sale for a much lower price then new. Or will I run into problems with cancellation and such? Thanks.

Ok so right now my friend has an alpine type x 12" woofer. It is powered by a 1100 watt JBL amp. Well needless to say we are not happy with it. Ohhh it sounds clear but just not as loud as he is looking for. We just ordered him a Hifonics ZEUS-xx it will probably be pumping out around 1700 watts RMS. I am telling my friend to order a loaded BL. I am hoping this is quite an improvement, we were just wondering what everyone else would think about this setup compared to his old.

whats the diff between the copper coil and the reg one? i guess the ? is what does the copper coil gain you?

I am looking forward to purchasing 2 12 ssd's giving them about 500 - 600 watts each, not sure on the enclosure yet, but probably a sealed 1 cu. each or a ported with 1.85 cu. each. i have 4 other friends with systems. One has 2 12" jl audio w3v3's. Another with 2 12" Alpine type R's. The third with 2 12" kicker Comp VR's. And the final has 2 12" Sony P5's. I want to make sure that my 2 12" ssd's will be better than all of thier systems with only 500 - 600 wats each. Does any admin or anyone know if this is a good enough system to beat any of those 4. Im almost positive it is better than all of theirs but i just dont want it to be a maybe and then no one can tell the diff…

Hey guys, quick question. Do two 12" BL's have enough balls to beat out two 12" L7's? I have a friend that is dead set that it can't happen since he has never heard of Fi. Did I tell him wrong by saying that the BL's could out do the L7's? Thanks, -Sam

I have a customer that just order 3 18" Dual 1 ohm BTL fully load, and I'm going to do a wall for him in a 99 or so Tahoe. We are looking of a 70/30 split. 70 spl and 30 SQ. The truck is daily driver, so he wants to be able to play music and have it sound good. So what box would you guys recommend. They will be power by 3 Massive Audio P3000.1. One more thing he has 3 Mmatt 3.5 pro cast 15 in port box tuned to around 25 hz now running off a Mmatts 3500.05 he's been doing 151 legal and 158 outlaw and lost in outlaw over the weekend to a guy with 4 Kick CVX 15's in a huge port box that did 160.7 and got a little upset and now he's stepping his game up the next level. I just got my 15" Q in the mail yesterday and it looks awesome. Today I got my RF T10001bd amp. Took a look at the birthsheet and it says 1603rms @1ohm. ALOT OF POWER! Do you guys think this is to much power to give to my 15" Q? The sub will be in a ported enclosure at 32hz. The bench test power rating was at 14.4 volts. I just dont want to damage my sub, do you guys think this is to much power to feed my Q?

Hi, I want to put 2 12" SSD's in my camaro. The box will be sealed and have 1.1 cu ft per sub. My amp is a jl audio 1000/1. Will this work or do I need a bigger amp?? Thanks ahead...

Hello, I am new to these forums and to Fi, but not the car audio scene. I am looking for some help with my particular set up as I do not know much about Fi. I have read many good things about the product and have read most of the articles in these forums, however, I find myself stuck on a difficult choice. First a little background is in order. The amp puts out id say roughly 300-350w actual Now i just got an awesome deal on a kicker zx 750.1 and my subs wont run on the proper ohm to utilize this amp properly. Hey everyone. Right now I have a 1000Watt Alpine amp. the MRD-M1005. I had a 12" Type R in a sealed box but the other day it blew. I've heard alot of good stuff about Fi Car Audio. I don't have a ton of money to dump into a new system and all. So i was wondering if anyone knew of a sub that would sound really good with the Alpine MRD-M1005 hooked up to it. I know I would need a new box and all. Just not sure what Fi sub would be better and what options to get for it. Please let me know. Thanks...
